I've been in this person's server for about a year now, and their constant power tripping is insane. It really turned me off from interacting with a lot of the fandom at large. Make sure you don't even dare to stray for one sentence from the topic of the channel you're in, because mod ***** will coming running telling you to move things to another channel. Of course, this is irrelevant when they're the one having the conversation.

They're so rude to new stex fans, especially Wembley fans. They will speak condescendingly to anyone who dares to express joy about various Wembley characters. And trust, they will tell you how much they hate the show/the actors/the songs/the costumes (even though they've gone to see it multiple times. What a waste). They have such a superiority complex in relation to their time in the fandom, and will act snide towards new fans who try and fit in. If you send your art in their server and you're not in their inner circle of friends you will be ignored and posted over.

I can't speak for the accusations of death threats because I've not personally received anything or seen anyone else receiving them, but I have personally experienced this mod being rude and gatekeepey, as I discussed.

It's just very embarrassing watching somebody hold such self importance. I was in another server, which does not exist anymore, for another popular Stex artist. and it was a lot of the same: rudeness, superiority complex, shaming other fans, etc.

I'm thankful to have found nicer people to interact with who are actually welcoming to new fans in the community, and who make it a pleasant experience to engage with the fandom.

It should be noted that the moderator's response to this was to announce their cat died as an explanation as to why they wouldn't address any of this.

THERE IS A DANGEROUS FANARTIST AND DISCORD MODERATOR IN THE STARLIGHT EXPRESS COMMUNITY.

This post, made on a burner account because I’m angry but not stupid, was made in response to a new and pressing concern of an unsafe individual within the Starlight express community.  I will not be using this individual’s name (for now), but it is possible you will recognize them anyway: they are a moderator for a popular server within the Starlight Express community, and hold a considerable amount of influence.  Unfortunately, influence does not equal responsibility.

Initially the concerns are the same as one would have about any shitty moderator: they show favoritism, they’re a hypocrite, they abuse their power when someone pisses them off (all true).  But, most concerningly: they take opinions different from their own as personal attacks.  At one point, they felt so foolishly justified in their convictions that they sent death threats to someone over a disagreement about Greaseball’s sexuality.  I repeat: this person sent multiple messages to someone telling them (in detail) to kill themselves because they did not like their head-canon.  That takes the grievances against them from the frustrations about a shitty moderator to legitimate concerns about other’s safety.

This is clearly a disturbed individual that needs help that they are not getting.  Unfortunately, no amount of explanation or empathy excuses what they have done.

My biggest concern is that if they have done this to one individual, they almost certainly have done it to others: sent anonymous threats, played the victim, or simply used their status as a moderator and a prominent member of the Stex community to push out people whose opinions they disagreed with- all while pretending to welcome members into the community.  You are welcome, in fact- as long as you agree with everything they say, and apologize profusely for any perceived slight.

I made this pOst to raise awareness about them and their behavior.  I encourage peoPle to be careful around this individual.  ThEy are a semi-prominent artist on tumblR and a discord moderator to a lArge server- they have been able to fly under the radar until now thanks to their ability to play the victim and the dangerous assumption that people would not talk to each other and determine the commonality.  If you believe you have been victimized by this individual, or want confirmation about who exactly I am talking about. feel free to reach out- my door is always open.
