hi gang! considering ive been gone for a while, argo's relationships with people have changed! send me a message to go onto the tag list because. that just seems easier than trying to modify atp

BACKSTORY:

After the titan war, Mr. D and Chiron decided to wipe their memory- for the safety of the camp (and of Luna, who desperately wanted to be with their older brother). This caused Argo to get really angsty and make a deal with Kronos. Upon his deal, he also let in Eris.

This possession caused Argo to kill LOTS of people. In an attempt to stop him, Theo cut off his arm and killed him ( :( ), and Argo went to Tartarus for his murders (and because Kronos and Eris dragged him there).

Argo was revived by Rose- but not all the way.. which came with side effects. Argo has since then been struggling with Kronos, Eris, and his other fractured personalities Luna and Atticus.

Oh golly... the road's getting bumpy...

Argo had been walking for... much too long. Considering he's a demigod (therefore a monster magnet), walking on foot, and unable to drive, he's completely fucked in the sense of travel. Never once has Argo prayed to his father- but right now, Hermes is seeming like a viable option.

The teenager is tired, hungry, and- as if he wasn't already stressed enough, seeing his family after months of minimal-to-no contact, his prosthetic arm broke! Argo is somewhere in the woods between Camp Half-Blood and Commodus' palace... he's probably lost, but he's following his gut. Maybe Hermes will help him for once.

Argo rubs his eyes, his wings giving a small flutter as he lets himself sit down. He looks like he's about to fall asleep- then he sees you.

Drawing his dagger, he glares down the blade- pointing it directly at you. "Who's there?" He barks.

Swanne holds up his hands, he does not want to get stabbed today (or ever, but considering he's a demigod, that dream was crushed a while ago)

"Swanne Moira." He introduced, hands still raised.

"You looked a little lost, so I felt I should help out. I uh— live round here."

Swanne prays that his mothers are handling his thread very carefully, he'd not like to get into a fight with a (probably) feral demigod.

"You're looking for camp, right?"

Argo keeps his dagger drawn, but his shoulders relax slightly. His wings give a cautious flutter. "Argo C-" He probably shouldn't say any of his last names that start with C.. "Jordan. Argo Jordan." He slowly lowers the blade, but doesn't sheath it.

"What?" Argo blinks, shaking his head. "No, I'm coming from camp- I.. where. are we? I got really turned around- monster attacks-"

he nodded

"right, the woods can do that" he sighed, lowering his hands

"We're close by a hiking trail, and I think my car's parked nearby. I can drive you to a place to rest?" Swanne offered

"Uh.. no offense, but you are sort of a stranger and-" They said 'camp', but if they're by a hiking trail.. maybe they arent talking about chb. "I would rather. Not get kidnapped. If there's some way you can prove you're not like.. a monster?"

"Oh—! Yeah my bad." Swanne patted his pockets, and fished out his camp necklace and his driver's license. "It's uh, not a lot, most of my stuff's in my car"

"I was visiting my parents for a week, I was just driving back up to camp and stopped for a hike." He explained

"Oh- fuck yeah, you're a demigod?" Argo pulls his camp necklace out from underneath his shirt- the beads are all old.. from before the titan war.

"I'm trying to get to Indianna- I need to see my family."

"Yup"

Some of Swanne's beads were from before the titan war as well, and he recognised them, but he didn't comment on it.

"I don't think that camp will implode without me there, I can give you a lift if you'd like" he offered

Argo nods, tucking away his necklace again. "That would be nice- I uh. I had to take a break from counseling. family emergency. So I just.. I need to get there as soon as possible."

Swanne nodded

"My car's up this way, I promise i'm a better driver than the grey sisters." He joked, pointing his thumb to a small parking lot up the trail

"The... who?" Argo lifts an eyebrow, starting to walk in the direction Swanne points. "I mean- I've survived worse than some bad driving."

"Taxi service, they get you places quick, but you'll lose your lunch" he explained, following

Swanne's car was a silver pickup that was parked in the far end of the parking lot. He unlocked it with a click of his keys

"Huh..." Argo stares at the vehicle. "How different is this from riding a Pegasus?" he asks casually, approaching one of the doors.

"A lot smoother, in my opinion" Swanne replied

"although pegasi riding is a lot more fun than driving"

"I see.. Okay- I don't think I've ever been in a car.." Argo stares at the vehicle. He's seen plenty, he's 15! Of course he's seen a car. He's just.. never had a reason to ride in one.

"Ah I see" he smiled, opening the passenger door

"hop on in"

Argo sits down- almost immeadiately mesmerized by all the buttons and dials of the car.

By the time Swanne is in the driver's seat, Argo has given into his impulses, and he's obsessively opening and shutting the glove compartment; his wings perked up, giving the illusion of animal ears.

Swanne chuckles a little, starting up the engine and reversing out of the parking lot.

"Indiana, right?"

Argo closes the compartment and recoils into the corner of his seat the moment the movement begins.

"WHAT? HM? YEAH! Y-YEAH. INDIANNA!" His face is turning red as he's trying and failing to hide his panic.

Swanne noticed the panic, pulling over quickly

"hey, it's alright. I have some stuff for motion sickness in the glove box and I think a blanket in the back. If you want to get comfortable before I start driving again." He said soothingly

Argo's wings are puffed, his eyes wide. He nods along, staring at Swanne like a scared animal.

"Can I. Have the. The blanket."

Swanne nodded, reaching behind him and grabbing a patchwork blanket from the back seat, he passed it over.

"I like looking out the window when I'm in the car, if you think that'd help" he offered, voice gentle

Argo curls into the blanket, mumbling "thank you.."

Argo looks at the window- pressing his knuckles against the window. "Sorry- I wasn't really. Uh. Expecting the movement."

"No worries, you ready for me to start the the again?" He asked, tilting his head

"Uh.." Argo burrows further into the blanket. "I think I am."

"Alright" he turned the keys in the ignition, turning onto the road and driving carefully

"you okay"

Argo's wings puff up, he stares out the window, then goes back to his glove box fidgeting.

"Mhm- I just. Uh- don't like uh. Moving? This is nothing like flying."

He nodded

"I get it, let me know if you want the radio on or anything" Swanne said, pushing some of his white hair out of his face.

"Do you have- uh- a preference for whether it's on? I think I'm gonna be this panicked no matter what-" Argo's wings start flattening out, his methodical glove box fiddling slowing and stopping.

"I don't mind, anything help you with panic normally?" He asked gently.

"Uh- I'm not panicked! What would give you that impression?" Argo is clearly fighting for his life to stay sane.

"I'm good at reading people" he replied.

"does talking help? If you want you can ask me stuff, or play eye spy or something?" He offered, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel

"I'm just- I don't know. It's hard to explain. I just- I don't know why this stupid car freaks me out- and. I feel like I'm more freaking out because I embarassed myself by freaking out."

"it's okay, you don't have to beat yourself up inside for getting freaked out. It's a new experience, you're bound to be a little spooked by it." He replied

"When my mortal mama saw an iris message for the first time, she nearly jumped outta her skin" he said, laughing a little at the memory

Argo nods. "I feel like I should be used to a car, though. It feels like one of those things people are just born okay with."

"I don't think people are born okay with driving, but you get used to it over time" he replied

Argo sighs, his wings pinning against his head. "I. I guess? Sorry- I'm yapping an awful lot."

"It's okay, you can chat if you want" he replied, smiling a little

"I don't mind talking"

Argo smiles back. "You seem really nice- how come I've never talked to you.. or really seen you at camp?"

"I'm usually hanging out in the arts and crafts tent, or getting forced to mentor younger kids" he replied, tilting his head

"I attend camp pretty flexibly so it's not unlikely that we haven't spoken before"

"I see- I guess that makes sense. I uh. Run around a lot- they have me monitoring the flight risks.." Argo fidgets with his blanket. "Godly parent?" He hates the question, but it has become second nature for him to ask.

"It's a long story, but I'm a child of the fates." He answered, voice still soft. He doesn't hate his mothers, they're as available as they can be with their job.

"Oh! That's.." Argo hums- trying to mentally figure out how that works... but he's heard of stranger things. "Honestly really cool."

He chuckled

He didn't ask for the other's godly parent, Swanne had a hunch the two of them weren't on the greatest terms.

"Do you- uh..." Argo trails off. "God damn I'm bad at conversation-" he laughs at himself a little. "..Where'd you learn to drive? I mean they don't exactly teach us at camp-"

"I stole one of the delivery vans for a quest… and then my dad taught me to drive properly and I got my license" he laughed at the memory

"Gods that quest was entertaining, I had to go find an antidote for this nasty cold at camp, the van really helped with transport"

Argo nods, smiling as he recounts. He's glad that his experience isn't the norm.. maybe there's hope for him being well adjusted after all this.

"That's cool- I think if my reaction to being in the passenger's seat is any indication, I'll never be able to drive."

"that's okay! Driving isn't everyone's cup of tea" he replied, looking up at the road ahead.

"It's not like I spend enough time in the mortal realm to need it... this is my first time out of camp in," Argo hesitates, calculating in his head, "I wanna say four months? maybe closer to six.."

Swanne nodded.

"I get it, some year rounders are there for years before getting sent out on a quest."

"I uh-" Argo frowns, laughing awkwardly. "I've been there for about ten years, and I've never gotten a quest."

"Damn, you seem like a good questing buddy" he commented

"I'll let you know if there's a quest I need a hand with"

Argo smiles awkwardly. "Thanks- I mean. I get why I'm not a quester. I honestly- uh.. I'm a bit nervous about leaving camp. If that wasn't obvious from.." Argo clutches the blanket tighter. "..Everything."

"It's alright, everyone's anxious when they try something new" he smiled

"You hungry? There's a Wendy's up the road"

Argo narrows his eyes, he moves to say "What's a.." He pauses, thinking. "OH! Is it that place with the redhead mascot? I've never actually eaten at one.."

"Yep" he smiled

"well, it's a good day to try new things" Swanne replied, turning off the road to the parking lot

Argo looks around, subtly inspecting everything. "Huh.. Wait. I might've stolen stuff from one of these when I was coming to camp.."

Swanne laughs

"who hasn't committed mild theft, it's a rite of passage for demigods at this point"

Argo smiles, beginning to step out of the car. "I think I've moved to grand larceny-" He admits, rubbing the scars on his neck as he speaks.

Swanne chuckles, locking his car and stepping inside the restaurant

"Gods I'm glad Mr D or Chiron haven't given me a speech about corrupting the youth. I mean Mr D can't really drive anyway…"

This actually gets a true laugh out of Argo. "Jesus- no. If anything I'd be corrupting you, shady shit is in my blood. I get into.. A lot of situations."

"Don't we all sometimes" he hummed, looking up at the menu

"anything catch your eye?"

"Uh.." Argo looks at the menu, narrowing his heterochromic eyes. "..Burger? I mean. I'm really not picky- wow. More options than I thought they'd have-"

"No prob" he grinned, getting his wallet out and placing an order

"Oh- I-" Argo seems uncomfortable with someone paying for him. "How- how much do I owe you?"

"nothing, it's okay" Swanne replied, a small smile on his face

Argo shifts. He pats his pockets- pulling out a $10 bill.

"Take this- I. Uh.. Here."

"It's okay, seriously." He pushed the bill away, a small smile on his face

"I don't expect any repayment. It isn't too expensive"

Argo nods, staying silent.

He waits for Swanne to get distracted- look away for even a moment- and puts the bill into Swanne's pocket.

"Thanks dude- that's really nice."

"It's no problem" he looked up at the screen to track their order number.

noticing the number get called out he strolled over and picked up the brown paper bag from the counter.

Argo stares at it, then blinks a few times. "Holy shit I. Woah." He makes a gesture like a wave washing over his face. "Nostalgia just hit me."

"Been a while?" He asked curiously, tilting his head.

"Haven't had food from a restaurant outside of camp since... well, at least 6 years. Not since I got to camp. Whenever I left I'd just forage.."

"Damn…" he whistled

"I get it though, I didn't have any sort of takeout for years, it was an eye opening experience the first time"

Argo had been walking for... much too long. Considering he's a demigod (therefore a monster magnet), walking on foot, and unable to drive, he's completely fucked in the sense of travel. Never once has Argo prayed to his father- but right now, Hermes is seeming like a viable option.

The teenager is tired, hungry, and- as if he wasn't already stressed enough, seeing his family after months of minimal-to-no contact, his prosthetic arm broke! Argo is somewhere in the woods between Camp Half-Blood and Commodus' palace... he's probably lost, but he's following his gut. Maybe Hermes will help him for once.

Argo rubs his eyes, his wings giving a small flutter as he lets himself sit down. He looks like he's about to fall asleep- then he sees you.

Drawing his dagger, he glares down the blade- pointing it directly at you. "Who's there?" He barks.

Swanne holds up his hands, he does not want to get stabbed today (or ever, but considering he's a demigod, that dream was crushed a while ago)

"Swanne Moira." He introduced, hands still raised.

"You looked a little lost, so I felt I should help out. I uh— live round here."

Swanne prays that his mothers are handling his thread very carefully, he'd not like to get into a fight with a (probably) feral demigod.

"You're looking for camp, right?"

Argo keeps his dagger drawn, but his shoulders relax slightly. His wings give a cautious flutter. "Argo C-" He probably shouldn't say any of his last names that start with C.. "Jordan. Argo Jordan." He slowly lowers the blade, but doesn't sheath it.

"What?" Argo blinks, shaking his head. "No, I'm coming from camp- I.. where. are we? I got really turned around- monster attacks-"

he nodded

"right, the woods can do that" he sighed, lowering his hands

"We're close by a hiking trail, and I think my car's parked nearby. I can drive you to a place to rest?" Swanne offered

"Uh.. no offense, but you are sort of a stranger and-" They said 'camp', but if they're by a hiking trail.. maybe they arent talking about chb. "I would rather. Not get kidnapped. If there's some way you can prove you're not like.. a monster?"

"Oh—! Yeah my bad." Swanne patted his pockets, and fished out his camp necklace and his driver's license. "It's uh, not a lot, most of my stuff's in my car"

"I was visiting my parents for a week, I was just driving back up to camp and stopped for a hike." He explained

"Oh- fuck yeah, you're a demigod?" Argo pulls his camp necklace out from underneath his shirt- the beads are all old.. from before the titan war.

"I'm trying to get to Indianna- I need to see my family."

"Yup"

Some of Swanne's beads were from before the titan war as well, and he recognised them, but he didn't comment on it.

"I don't think that camp will implode without me there, I can give you a lift if you'd like" he offered

Argo nods, tucking away his necklace again. "That would be nice- I uh. I had to take a break from counseling. family emergency. So I just.. I need to get there as soon as possible."

Swanne nodded

"My car's up this way, I promise i'm a better driver than the grey sisters." He joked, pointing his thumb to a small parking lot up the trail

"The... who?" Argo lifts an eyebrow, starting to walk in the direction Swanne points. "I mean- I've survived worse than some bad driving."

"Taxi service, they get you places quick, but you'll lose your lunch" he explained, following

Swanne's car was a silver pickup that was parked in the far end of the parking lot. He unlocked it with a click of his keys

"Huh..." Argo stares at the vehicle. "How different is this from riding a Pegasus?" he asks casually, approaching one of the doors.

"A lot smoother, in my opinion" Swanne replied

"although pegasi riding is a lot more fun than driving"

"I see.. Okay- I don't think I've ever been in a car.." Argo stares at the vehicle. He's seen plenty, he's 15! Of course he's seen a car. He's just.. never had a reason to ride in one.

"Ah I see" he smiled, opening the passenger door

"hop on in"

Argo sits down- almost immeadiately mesmerized by all the buttons and dials of the car.

By the time Swanne is in the driver's seat, Argo has given into his impulses, and he's obsessively opening and shutting the glove compartment; his wings perked up, giving the illusion of animal ears.

Swanne chuckles a little, starting up the engine and reversing out of the parking lot.

"Indiana, right?"

Argo closes the compartment and recoils into the corner of his seat the moment the movement begins.

"WHAT? HM? YEAH! Y-YEAH. INDIANNA!" His face is turning red as he's trying and failing to hide his panic.

Swanne noticed the panic, pulling over quickly

"hey, it's alright. I have some stuff for motion sickness in the glove box and I think a blanket in the back. If you want to get comfortable before I start driving again." He said soothingly

Argo's wings are puffed, his eyes wide. He nods along, staring at Swanne like a scared animal.

"Can I. Have the. The blanket."

Swanne nodded, reaching behind him and grabbing a patchwork blanket from the back seat, he passed it over.

"I like looking out the window when I'm in the car, if you think that'd help" he offered, voice gentle

Argo curls into the blanket, mumbling "thank you.."

Argo looks at the window- pressing his knuckles against the window. "Sorry- I wasn't really. Uh. Expecting the movement."

"No worries, you ready for me to start the the again?" He asked, tilting his head

"Uh.." Argo burrows further into the blanket. "I think I am."

"Alright" he turned the keys in the ignition, turning onto the road and driving carefully

"you okay"

"Mhm- I just. Uh- don't like uh. Moving? This is nothing like flying."

"I get it, let me know if you want the radio on or anything" Swanne said, pushing some of his white hair out of his face.

"Do you have- uh- a preference for whether it's on? I think I'm gonna be this panicked no matter what-" Argo's wings start flattening out, his methodical glove box fiddling slowing and stopping.

"I don't mind, anything help you with panic normally?" He asked gently.

"Uh- I'm not panicked! What would give you that impression?" Argo is clearly fighting for his life to stay sane.

"I'm good at reading people" he replied.

"does talking help? If you want you can ask me stuff, or play eye spy or something?" He offered, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel

"I'm just- I don't know. It's hard to explain. I just- I don't know why this stupid car freaks me out- and. I feel like I'm more freaking out because I embarassed myself by freaking out."

"it's okay, you don't have to beat yourself up inside for getting freaked out. It's a new experience, you're bound to be a little spooked by it." He replied

"When my mortal mama saw an iris message for the first time, she nearly jumped outta her skin" he said, laughing a little at the memory

Argo nods. "I feel like I should be used to a car, though. It feels like one of those things people are just born okay with."

"I don't think people are born okay with driving, but you get used to it over time" he replied

Argo sighs, his wings pinning against his head. "I. I guess? Sorry- I'm yapping an awful lot."

"It's okay, you can chat if you want" he replied, smiling a little

"I'm usually hanging out in the arts and crafts tent, or getting forced to mentor younger kids" he replied, tilting his head

"I attend camp pretty flexibly so it's not unlikely that we haven't spoken before"

"I see- I guess that makes sense. I uh. Run around a lot- they have me monitoring the flight risks.." Argo fidgets with his blanket. "Godly parent?" He hates the question, but it has become second nature for him to ask.

"It's a long story, but I'm a child of the fates." He answered, voice still soft. He doesn't hate his mothers, they're as available as they can be with their job.

"Oh! That's.." Argo hums- trying to mentally figure out how that works... but he's heard of stranger things. "Honestly really cool."

"Do you- uh..." Argo trails off. "God damn I'm bad at conversation-" he laughs at himself a little. "..Where'd you learn to drive? I mean they don't exactly teach us at camp-"

"I stole one of the delivery vans for a quest… and then my dad taught me to drive properly and I got my license" he laughed at the memory

"Gods that quest was entertaining, I had to go find an antidote for this nasty cold at camp, the van really helped with transport"

Argo nods, smiling as he recounts. He's glad that his experience isn't the norm.. maybe there's hope for him being well adjusted after all this.

"That's cool- I think if my reaction to being in the passenger's seat is any indication, I'll never be able to drive."

"that's okay! Driving isn't everyone's cup of tea" he replied, looking up at the road ahead.

"It's not like I spend enough time in the mortal realm to need it... this is my first time out of camp in," Argo hesitates, calculating in his head, "I wanna say four months? maybe closer to six.."

"I get it, some year rounders are there for years before getting sent out on a quest."

"I uh-" Argo frowns, laughing awkwardly. "I've been there for about ten years, and I've never gotten a quest."

"Damn, you seem like a good questing buddy" he commented

"I'll let you know if there's a quest I need a hand with"

Argo smiles awkwardly. "Thanks- I mean. I get why I'm not a quester. I honestly- uh.. I'm a bit nervous about leaving camp. If that wasn't obvious from.." Argo clutches the blanket tighter. "..Everything."

"It's alright, everyone's anxious when they try something new" he smiled

"You hungry? There's a Wendy's up the road"

Argo narrows his eyes, he moves to say "What's a.." He pauses, thinking. "OH! Is it that place with the redhead mascot? I've never actually eaten at one.."

"Yep" he smiled

"well, it's a good day to try new things" Swanne replied, turning off the road to the parking lot

Argo looks around, subtly inspecting everything. "Huh.. Wait. I might've stolen stuff from one of these when I was coming to camp.."

Swanne laughs

"who hasn't committed mild theft, it's a rite of passage for demigods at this point"

Argo smiles, beginning to step out of the car. "I think I've moved to grand larceny-" He admits, rubbing the scars on his neck as he speaks.

Swanne chuckles, locking his car and stepping inside the restaurant

"Gods I'm glad Mr D or Chiron haven't given me a speech about corrupting the youth. I mean Mr D can't really drive anyway…"

This actually gets a true laugh out of Argo. "Jesus- no. If anything I'd be corrupting you, shady shit is in my blood. I get into.. A lot of situations."

"Don't we all sometimes" he hummed, looking up at the menu

"anything catch your eye?"

"Uh.." Argo looks at the menu, narrowing his heterochromic eyes. "..Burger? I mean. I'm really not picky- wow. More options than I thought they'd have-"

"No prob" he grinned, getting his wallet out and placing an order

"Oh- I-" Argo seems uncomfortable with someone paying for him. "How- how much do I owe you?"

"nothing, it's okay" Swanne replied, a small smile on his face

Argo shifts. He pats his pockets- pulling out a $10 bill.

"Take this- I. Uh.. Here."

"It's okay, seriously." He pushed the bill away, a small smile on his face

"I don't expect any repayment. It isn't too expensive"

Argo nods, staying silent.

He waits for Swanne to get distracted- look away for even a moment- and puts the bill into Swanne's pocket.

"Thanks dude- that's really nice."

"It's no problem" he looked up at the screen to track their order number.

noticing the number get called out he strolled over and picked up the brown paper bag from the counter.

Argo stares at it, then blinks a few times. "Holy shit I. Woah." He makes a gesture like a wave washing over his face. "Nostalgia just hit me."

"I'm trying to get to Indianna- I need to see my family."

Some of Swanne's beads were from before the titan war as well, and he recognised them, but he didn't comment on it.

"I don't think that camp will implode without me there, I can give you a lift if you'd like" he offered

Argo nods, tucking away his necklace again. "That would be nice- I uh. I had to take a break from counseling. family emergency. So I just.. I need to get there as soon as possible."

Swanne nodded

"My car's up this way, I promise i'm a better driver than the grey sisters." He joked, pointing his thumb to a small parking lot up the trail

"The... who?" Argo lifts an eyebrow, starting to walk in the direction Swanne points. "I mean- I've survived worse than some bad driving."

"Taxi service, they get you places quick, but you'll lose your lunch" he explained, following

Swanne's car was a silver pickup that was parked in the far end of the parking lot. He unlocked it with a click of his keys

"Huh..." Argo stares at the vehicle. "How different is this from riding a Pegasus?" he asks casually, approaching one of the doors.

"A lot smoother, in my opinion" Swanne replied

"although pegasi riding is a lot more fun than driving"

"I see.. Okay- I don't think I've ever been in a car.." Argo stares at the vehicle. He's seen plenty, he's 15! Of course he's seen a car. He's just.. never had a reason to ride in one.

"Ah I see" he smiled, opening the passenger door

"hop on in"

Argo sits down- almost immeadiately mesmerized by all the buttons and dials of the car.

By the time Swanne is in the driver's seat, Argo has given into his impulses, and he's obsessively opening and shutting the glove compartment; his wings perked up, giving the illusion of animal ears.

Swanne chuckles a little, starting up the engine and reversing out of the parking lot.

"Indiana, right?"

Argo closes the compartment and recoils into the corner of his seat the moment the movement begins.

"WHAT? HM? YEAH! Y-YEAH. INDIANNA!" His face is turning red as he's trying and failing to hide his panic.

Swanne noticed the panic, pulling over quickly

"hey, it's alright. I have some stuff for motion sickness in the glove box and I think a blanket in the back. If you want to get comfortable before I start driving again." He said soothingly

Argo's wings are puffed, his eyes wide. He nods along, staring at Swanne like a scared animal.

"Can I. Have the. The blanket."

Swanne nodded, reaching behind him and grabbing a patchwork blanket from the back seat, he passed it over.

"I like looking out the window when I'm in the car, if you think that'd help" he offered, voice gentle

Argo curls into the blanket, mumbling "thank you.."

Argo looks at the window- pressing his knuckles against the window. "Sorry- I wasn't really. Uh. Expecting the movement."

"No worries, you ready for me to start the the again?" He asked, tilting his head

"Uh.." Argo burrows further into the blanket. "I think I am."

"Alright" he turned the keys in the ignition, turning onto the road and driving carefully

"you okay"

Argo's wings puff up, he stares out the window, then goes back to his glove box fidgeting.

"Mhm- I just. Uh- don't like uh. Moving? This is nothing like flying."

He nodded

"I get it, let me know if you want the radio on or anything" Swanne said, pushing some of his white hair out of his face.

"Do you have- uh- a preference for whether it's on? I think I'm gonna be this panicked no matter what-" Argo's wings start flattening out, his methodical glove box fiddling slowing and stopping.

"I don't mind, anything help you with panic normally?" He asked gently.

"Uh- I'm not panicked! What would give you that impression?" Argo is clearly fighting for his life to stay sane.

"I'm good at reading people" he replied.

"does talking help? If you want you can ask me stuff, or play eye spy or something?" He offered, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel

"I'm just- I don't know. It's hard to explain. I just- I don't know why this stupid car freaks me out- and. I feel like I'm more freaking out because I embarassed myself by freaking out."

"it's okay, you don't have to beat yourself up inside for getting freaked out. It's a new experience, you're bound to be a little spooked by it." He replied

"When my mortal mama saw an iris message for the first time, she nearly jumped outta her skin" he said, laughing a little at the memory

Argo nods. "I feel like I should be used to a car, though. It feels like one of those things people are just born okay with."

"I don't think people are born okay with driving, but you get used to it over time" he replied

Argo sighs, his wings pinning against his head. "I. I guess? Sorry- I'm yapping an awful lot."

"It's okay, you can chat if you want" he replied, smiling a little

Argo smiles back. "You seem really nice- how come I've never talked to you.. or really seen you at camp?"

"I'm usually hanging out in the arts and crafts tent, or getting forced to mentor younger kids" he replied, tilting his head

"I attend camp pretty flexibly so it's not unlikely that we haven't spoken before"

"I see- I guess that makes sense. I uh. Run around a lot- they have me monitoring the flight risks.." Argo fidgets with his blanket. "Godly parent?" He hates the question, but it has become second nature for him to ask.

"It's a long story, but I'm a child of the fates." He answered, voice still soft. He doesn't hate his mothers, they're as available as they can be with their job.

"Oh! That's.." Argo hums- trying to mentally figure out how that works... but he's heard of stranger things. "Honestly really cool."

"Do you- uh..." Argo trails off. "God damn I'm bad at conversation-" he laughs at himself a little. "..Where'd you learn to drive? I mean they don't exactly teach us at camp-"

"I stole one of the delivery vans for a quest… and then my dad taught me to drive properly and I got my license" he laughed at the memory

"Gods that quest was entertaining, I had to go find an antidote for this nasty cold at camp, the van really helped with transport"

Argo nods, smiling as he recounts. He's glad that his experience isn't the norm.. maybe there's hope for him being well adjusted after all this.

"That's cool- I think if my reaction to being in the passenger's seat is any indication, I'll never be able to drive."

"It's not like I spend enough time in the mortal realm to need it... this is my first time out of camp in," Argo hesitates, calculating in his head, "I wanna say four months? maybe closer to six.."

"I get it, some year rounders are there for years before getting sent out on a quest."

"Damn, you seem like a good questing buddy" he commented

"I'll let you know if there's a quest I need a hand with"

Argo looks around, subtly inspecting everything. "Huh.. Wait. I might've stolen stuff from one of these when I was coming to camp.."

Argo smiles, beginning to step out of the car. "I think I've moved to grand larceny-" He admits, rubbing the scars on his neck as he speaks.

"Gods I'm glad Mr D or Chiron haven't given me a speech about corrupting the youth. I mean Mr D can't really drive anyway…"

The teenager is tired, hungry, and- as if he wasn't already stressed enough, seeing his family after months of minimal-to-no contact, his prosthetic arm broke! Argo is somewhere in the woods between Camp Half-Blood and Commodus' palace... he's probably lost, but he's following his gut. Maybe Hermes will help him for once.

Argo rubs his eyes, his wings giving a small flutter as he lets himself sit down. He looks like he's about to fall asleep- then he sees you.

Drawing his dagger, he glares down the blade- pointing it directly at you. "Who's there?" He barks.

Swanne holds up his hands, he does not want to get stabbed today (or ever, but considering he's a demigod, that dream was crushed a while ago)

"Swanne Moira." He introduced, hands still raised.

"You looked a little lost, so I felt I should help out. I uh— live round here."

Swanne prays that his mothers are handling his thread very carefully, he'd not like to get into a fight with a (probably) feral demigod.

"You're looking for camp, right?"

"We're close by a hiking trail, and I think my car's parked nearby. I can drive you to a place to rest?" Swanne offered

Rose had her guard up, Thana in her hands but he relaxed at the sight of Argo. Though looking at his state she frowned, concerned

Rose put her hands up, "just me. I was...taking a walk around here"

"Oh- Rose! Good-" Argo shakes his head. "I need- uh.. shadowtravel. To Indianna!" He smiles, his wings flapping in excitement as he puts away his dagger.

She blinked, confused, "ookayy... Is it a do now and ask later kind of thing or can you tell me why you wanna go to Indiana all of a sudden"

"Commodus- Sophia. That family. Shit has been happening- and I've been trying to walk, but I can't. So.. Shadowtravel!" He smiles hopefully, holding onto his prosthetic tightly so it won't fall out of his socket.

She nodded, she knew that if argo seemed this desperate to shadow travel this far it had to be something serious, "okay. But you're letting me fix that arm later" she says before grabbing his shoulder and shadow travelling.

Indiana was far. Rose had been shadow travelling for as long as she had been walking so she didn't doubt her ability, but still. She hadn't travelled this distance before especially with another person.

She hoped argo wouldn't be too affected by the travel

The two land outside of the Commodus home- Argo pauses for a moment, looking stunned, then he turns to the side and throws up- letting his arm drop to the ground.

She picks up the arm, moving closer to gently rub Argos back, "we should have taken breaks in between" she says, rummaging through her bag to give him a water bottle.

"I would have if you didn't seem in such a hurry" she adds, looking at the arm, trying to figure out what was wrong.

He looks at Rose with a certain fear in his eyes- the same look he had when they first started getting close.. after Atticus. Guilt.

"I- mmmmph..." Argo wipes his mouth, his wings crowding to cover his eyes.

Rose notices the fear and hurt flashes across her face as she takes a step back, "Are you hurt? Need anything?"

Argo hesitates, moving to say something, but stopping himself. He wraps his arm around himself, stepping back.

Argo rubs circles on his ribs, his wings hesitantly moving back to their normal position.

"I'm scared to go back there.." he admits.

"Alright. We don't have to go in right now. How about we stay here for a minute and then go in together?" She offers

Argo nods, he moves over to his older sister and rests his head on her.

"I've been gone for too long. What if they all hate me? What if it's all different?"

She took him by the shoulder making him look at her, "It might be different. It might be the same. You can't expect everyone to be how you remember but you also can't assume they'll hate you"

"It's mean of you to assume such when they haven't even done anything to suggest that" she says softly, "I would hate to think that someone I love and care for believes I hate them"

"They love you. And while I can't speak for them I think they'll understand. You need to give them the chance to"

Argo frowns, for a moment it looks like he may cry- but he steadies himself. He looks at Rose and nods, swallowing back his anxiety.

Argo fights the urge to talk about Theo- how his ex brother definitely hates him- how Argo's missing arm is a constant reminder of his mistakes.

The afternoon light hits Argo, and for a moment, his blue eye almost looks gold.

"I don't like change."

Argo's wings give a happy flutter. He rests against his sister, trying to calm his panicked breathing.

"I love you," Argo mumbles, trying not to look at the palace.

"..I know someone died. Or died and came back."

Argo keeps his dagger drawn, but his shoulders relax slightly. His wings give a cautious flutter. "Argo C-" He probably shouldn't say any of his last names that start with C.. "Jordan. Argo Jordan." He slowly lowers the blade, but doesn't sheath it.

"What?" Argo blinks, shaking his head. "No, I'm coming from camp- I.. where. are we? I got really turned around- monster attacks-"

he nodded

"right, the woods can do that" he sighed, lowering his hands

"We're close by a hiking trail, and I think my car's parked nearby. I can drive you to a place to rest?" Swanne offered

"Uh.. no offense, but you are sort of a stranger and-" They said 'camp', but if they're by a hiking trail.. maybe they arent talking about chb. "I would rather. Not get kidnapped. If there's some way you can prove you're not like.. a monster?"

"Oh—! Yeah my bad." Swanne patted his pockets, and fished out his camp necklace and his driver's license. "It's uh, not a lot, most of my stuff's in my car"

"I was visiting my parents for a week, I was just driving back up to camp and stopped for a hike." He explained

"Oh- fuck yeah, you're a demigod?" Argo pulls his camp necklace out from underneath his shirt- the beads are all old.. from before the titan war.

"I'm trying to get to Indianna- I need to see my family."

"Yup"

Some of Swanne's beads were from before the titan war as well, and he recognised them, but he didn't comment on it.

"I don't think that camp will implode without me there, I can give you a lift if you'd like" he offered

Argo nods, tucking away his necklace again. "That would be nice- I uh. I had to take a break from counseling. family emergency. So I just.. I need to get there as soon as possible."

Swanne nodded

"My car's up this way, I promise i'm a better driver than the grey sisters." He joked, pointing his thumb to a small parking lot up the trail

"The... who?" Argo lifts an eyebrow, starting to walk in the direction Swanne points. "I mean- I've survived worse than some bad driving."

"Taxi service, they get you places quick, but you'll lose your lunch" he explained, following

Swanne's car was a silver pickup that was parked in the far end of the parking lot. He unlocked it with a click of his keys

"Huh..." Argo stares at the vehicle. "How different is this from riding a Pegasus?" he asks casually, approaching one of the doors.

"A lot smoother, in my opinion" Swanne replied

"although pegasi riding is a lot more fun than driving"

"I see.. Okay- I don't think I've ever been in a car.." Argo stares at the vehicle. He's seen plenty, he's 15! Of course he's seen a car. He's just.. never had a reason to ride in one.

"Ah I see" he smiled, opening the passenger door

"hop on in"

Argo sits down- almost immeadiately mesmerized by all the buttons and dials of the car.

By the time Swanne is in the driver's seat, Argo has given into his impulses, and he's obsessively opening and shutting the glove compartment; his wings perked up, giving the illusion of animal ears.

Swanne chuckles a little, starting up the engine and reversing out of the parking lot.

"Indiana, right?"

Argo closes the compartment and recoils into the corner of his seat the moment the movement begins.

"WHAT? HM? YEAH! Y-YEAH. INDIANNA!" His face is turning red as he's trying and failing to hide his panic.

Swanne noticed the panic, pulling over quickly

"hey, it's alright. I have some stuff for motion sickness in the glove box and I think a blanket in the back. If you want to get comfortable before I start driving again." He said soothingly

Argo's wings are puffed, his eyes wide. He nods along, staring at Swanne like a scared animal.

"Can I. Have the. The blanket."

Swanne nodded, reaching behind him and grabbing a patchwork blanket from the back seat, he passed it over.

"I like looking out the window when I'm in the car, if you think that'd help" he offered, voice gentle

Argo curls into the blanket, mumbling "thank you.."

Argo looks at the window- pressing his knuckles against the window. "Sorry- I wasn't really. Uh. Expecting the movement."

"No worries, you ready for me to start the the again?" He asked, tilting his head

"Uh.." Argo burrows further into the blanket. "I think I am."

"Alright" he turned the keys in the ignition, turning onto the road and driving carefully

"you okay"

"Mhm- I just. Uh- don't like uh. Moving? This is nothing like flying."

"I get it, let me know if you want the radio on or anything" Swanne said, pushing some of his white hair out of his face.

"Do you have- uh- a preference for whether it's on? I think I'm gonna be this panicked no matter what-" Argo's wings start flattening out, his methodical glove box fiddling slowing and stopping.

"I don't mind, anything help you with panic normally?" He asked gently.

"Uh- I'm not panicked! What would give you that impression?" Argo is clearly fighting for his life to stay sane.

"I'm good at reading people" he replied.

"does talking help? If you want you can ask me stuff, or play eye spy or something?" He offered, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel

"I'm just- I don't know. It's hard to explain. I just- I don't know why this stupid car freaks me out- and. I feel like I'm more freaking out because I embarassed myself by freaking out."

"it's okay, you don't have to beat yourself up inside for getting freaked out. It's a new experience, you're bound to be a little spooked by it." He replied

"When my mortal mama saw an iris message for the first time, she nearly jumped outta her skin" he said, laughing a little at the memory

Argo nods. "I feel like I should be used to a car, though. It feels like one of those things people are just born okay with."

"I don't think people are born okay with driving, but you get used to it over time" he replied

Argo sighs, his wings pinning against his head. "I. I guess? Sorry- I'm yapping an awful lot."

"I'm usually hanging out in the arts and crafts tent, or getting forced to mentor younger kids" he replied, tilting his head

"I attend camp pretty flexibly so it's not unlikely that we haven't spoken before"

"I see- I guess that makes sense. I uh. Run around a lot- they have me monitoring the flight risks.." Argo fidgets with his blanket. "Godly parent?" He hates the question, but it has become second nature for him to ask.

"It's a long story, but I'm a child of the fates." He answered, voice still soft. He doesn't hate his mothers, they're as available as they can be with their job.

"Oh! That's.." Argo hums- trying to mentally figure out how that works... but he's heard of stranger things. "Honestly really cool."

"Do you- uh..." Argo trails off. "God damn I'm bad at conversation-" he laughs at himself a little. "..Where'd you learn to drive? I mean they don't exactly teach us at camp-"

"I stole one of the delivery vans for a quest… and then my dad taught me to drive properly and I got my license" he laughed at the memory

"Gods that quest was entertaining, I had to go find an antidote for this nasty cold at camp, the van really helped with transport"

Argo nods, smiling as he recounts. He's glad that his experience isn't the norm.. maybe there's hope for him being well adjusted after all this.

"That's cool- I think if my reaction to being in the passenger's seat is any indication, I'll never be able to drive."

"It's not like I spend enough time in the mortal realm to need it... this is my first time out of camp in," Argo hesitates, calculating in his head, "I wanna say four months? maybe closer to six.."

"I get it, some year rounders are there for years before getting sent out on a quest."

"Damn, you seem like a good questing buddy" he commented

"It's alright, everyone's anxious when they try something new" he smiled

"well, it's a good day to try new things" Swanne replied, turning off the road to the parking lot

Argo looks around, subtly inspecting everything. "Huh.. Wait. I might've stolen stuff from one of these when I was coming to camp.."

"who hasn't committed mild theft, it's a rite of passage for demigods at this point"

Argo smiles, beginning to step out of the car. "I think I've moved to grand larceny-" He admits, rubbing the scars on his neck as he speaks.

"Gods I'm glad Mr D or Chiron haven't given me a speech about corrupting the youth. I mean Mr D can't really drive anyway…"

This actually gets a true laugh out of Argo. "Jesus- no. If anything I'd be corrupting you, shady shit is in my blood. I get into.. A lot of situations."

Argo had been walking for... much too long. Considering he's a demigod (therefore a monster magnet), walking on foot, and unable to drive, he's completely fucked in the sense of travel. Never once has Argo prayed to his father- but right now, Hermes is seeming like a viable option.

The teenager is tired, hungry, and- as if he wasn't already stressed enough, seeing his family after months of minimal-to-no contact, his prosthetic arm broke! Argo is somewhere in the woods between Camp Half-Blood and Commodus' palace... he's probably lost, but he's following his gut. Maybe Hermes will help him for once.

Argo rubs his eyes, his wings giving a small flutter as he lets himself sit down. He looks like he's about to fall asleep- then he sees you.

Drawing his dagger, he glares down the blade- pointing it directly at you. "Who's there?" He barks.

Rose had her guard up, Thana in her hands but he relaxed at the sight of Argo. Though looking at his state she frowned, concerned

Rose put her hands up, "just me. I was...taking a walk around here"

"Oh- Rose! Good-" Argo shakes his head. "I need- uh.. shadowtravel. To Indianna!" He smiles, his wings flapping in excitement as he puts away his dagger.

Indiana was far. Rose had been shadow travelling for as long as she had been walking so she didn't doubt her ability, but still. She hadn't travelled this distance before especially with another person.

She hoped argo wouldn't be too affected by the travel

The two land outside of the Commodus home- Argo pauses for a moment, looking stunned, then he turns to the side and throws up- letting his arm drop to the ground.

The afternoon light hits Argo, and for a moment, his blue eye almost looks gold.

"I don't like change."

Argo keeps his dagger drawn, but his shoulders relax slightly. His wings give a cautious flutter. "Argo C-" He probably shouldn't say any of his last names that start with C.. "Jordan. Argo Jordan." He slowly lowers the blade, but doesn't sheath it.

"What?" Argo blinks, shaking his head. "No, I'm coming from camp- I.. where. are we? I got really turned around- monster attacks-"

he nodded

"right, the woods can do that" he sighed, lowering his hands

"We're close by a hiking trail, and I think my car's parked nearby. I can drive you to a place to rest?" Swanne offered

"Uh.. no offense, but you are sort of a stranger and-" They said 'camp', but if they're by a hiking trail.. maybe they arent talking about chb. "I would rather. Not get kidnapped. If there's some way you can prove you're not like.. a monster?"

"Oh—! Yeah my bad." Swanne patted his pockets, and fished out his camp necklace and his driver's license. "It's uh, not a lot, most of my stuff's in my car"

"I was visiting my parents for a week, I was just driving back up to camp and stopped for a hike." He explained

"Oh- fuck yeah, you're a demigod?" Argo pulls his camp necklace out from underneath his shirt- the beads are all old.. from before the titan war.

"I'm trying to get to Indianna- I need to see my family."

"Yup"

Some of Swanne's beads were from before the titan war as well, and he recognised them, but he didn't comment on it.

"I don't think that camp will implode without me there, I can give you a lift if you'd like" he offered

Argo nods, tucking away his necklace again. "That would be nice- I uh. I had to take a break from counseling. family emergency. So I just.. I need to get there as soon as possible."

Swanne nodded

"My car's up this way, I promise i'm a better driver than the grey sisters." He joked, pointing his thumb to a small parking lot up the trail

"The... who?" Argo lifts an eyebrow, starting to walk in the direction Swanne points. "I mean- I've survived worse than some bad driving."

"Taxi service, they get you places quick, but you'll lose your lunch" he explained, following

Swanne's car was a silver pickup that was parked in the far end of the parking lot. He unlocked it with a click of his keys

"Huh..." Argo stares at the vehicle. "How different is this from riding a Pegasus?" he asks casually, approaching one of the doors.

"A lot smoother, in my opinion" Swanne replied

"although pegasi riding is a lot more fun than driving"

"I see.. Okay- I don't think I've ever been in a car.." Argo stares at the vehicle. He's seen plenty, he's 15! Of course he's seen a car. He's just.. never had a reason to ride in one.

"Ah I see" he smiled, opening the passenger door

"hop on in"

Argo sits down- almost immeadiately mesmerized by all the buttons and dials of the car.

By the time Swanne is in the driver's seat, Argo has given into his impulses, and he's obsessively opening and shutting the glove compartment; his wings perked up, giving the illusion of animal ears.

Swanne chuckles a little, starting up the engine and reversing out of the parking lot.

"Indiana, right?"

Argo closes the compartment and recoils into the corner of his seat the moment the movement begins.

"WHAT? HM? YEAH! Y-YEAH. INDIANNA!" His face is turning red as he's trying and failing to hide his panic.

Swanne noticed the panic, pulling over quickly

"hey, it's alright. I have some stuff for motion sickness in the glove box and I think a blanket in the back. If you want to get comfortable before I start driving again." He said soothingly

Argo's wings are puffed, his eyes wide. He nods along, staring at Swanne like a scared animal.

"Can I. Have the. The blanket."

Swanne nodded, reaching behind him and grabbing a patchwork blanket from the back seat, he passed it over.

"I like looking out the window when I'm in the car, if you think that'd help" he offered, voice gentle

Argo curls into the blanket, mumbling "thank you.."

Argo looks at the window- pressing his knuckles against the window. "Sorry- I wasn't really. Uh. Expecting the movement."

"No worries, you ready for me to start the the again?" He asked, tilting his head

"Uh.." Argo burrows further into the blanket. "I think I am."

"Alright" he turned the keys in the ignition, turning onto the road and driving carefully

"you okay"

"Mhm- I just. Uh- don't like uh. Moving? This is nothing like flying."

"I get it, let me know if you want the radio on or anything" Swanne said, pushing some of his white hair out of his face.

"Do you have- uh- a preference for whether it's on? I think I'm gonna be this panicked no matter what-" Argo's wings start flattening out, his methodical glove box fiddling slowing and stopping.

"I don't mind, anything help you with panic normally?" He asked gently.

"Uh- I'm not panicked! What would give you that impression?" Argo is clearly fighting for his life to stay sane.

"I'm good at reading people" he replied.

"does talking help? If you want you can ask me stuff, or play eye spy or something?" He offered, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel

"I'm just- I don't know. It's hard to explain. I just- I don't know why this stupid car freaks me out- and. I feel like I'm more freaking out because I embarassed myself by freaking out."

"it's okay, you don't have to beat yourself up inside for getting freaked out. It's a new experience, you're bound to be a little spooked by it." He replied

"When my mortal mama saw an iris message for the first time, she nearly jumped outta her skin" he said, laughing a little at the memory

Argo nods. "I feel like I should be used to a car, though. It feels like one of those things people are just born okay with."

"I don't think people are born okay with driving, but you get used to it over time" he replied

Argo sighs, his wings pinning against his head. "I. I guess? Sorry- I'm yapping an awful lot."

"It's okay, you can chat if you want" he replied, smiling a little

Argo smiles back. "You seem really nice- how come I've never talked to you.. or really seen you at camp?"

"I'm usually hanging out in the arts and crafts tent, or getting forced to mentor younger kids" he replied, tilting his head

"I attend camp pretty flexibly so it's not unlikely that we haven't spoken before"

"I stole one of the delivery vans for a quest… and then my dad taught me to drive properly and I got my license" he laughed at the memory

"Gods that quest was entertaining, I had to go find an antidote for this nasty cold at camp, the van really helped with transport"

Argo nods, smiling as he recounts. He's glad that his experience isn't the norm.. maybe there's hope for him being well adjusted after all this.

"That's cool- I think if my reaction to being in the passenger's seat is any indication, I'll never be able to drive."

"It's not like I spend enough time in the mortal realm to need it... this is my first time out of camp in," Argo hesitates, calculating in his head, "I wanna say four months? maybe closer to six.."

"I get it, some year rounders are there for years before getting sent out on a quest."

"I uh-" Argo frowns, laughing awkwardly. "I've been there for about ten years, and I've never gotten a quest."

"Damn, you seem like a good questing buddy" he commented

"I'll let you know if there's a quest I need a hand with"

Argo smiles awkwardly. "Thanks- I mean. I get why I'm not a quester. I honestly- uh.. I'm a bit nervous about leaving camp. If that wasn't obvious from.." Argo clutches the blanket tighter. "..Everything."

"It's alright, everyone's anxious when they try something new" he smiled

"You hungry? There's a Wendy's up the road"

Argo narrows his eyes, he moves to say "What's a.." He pauses, thinking. "OH! Is it that place with the redhead mascot? I've never actually eaten at one.."

"Yep" he smiled

"well, it's a good day to try new things" Swanne replied, turning off the road to the parking lot

Argo looks around, subtly inspecting everything. "Huh.. Wait. I might've stolen stuff from one of these when I was coming to camp.."

Swanne laughs

"who hasn't committed mild theft, it's a rite of passage for demigods at this point"

Argo smiles, beginning to step out of the car. "I think I've moved to grand larceny-" He admits, rubbing the scars on his neck as he speaks.

Argo had been walking for... much too long. Considering he's a demigod (therefore a monster magnet), walking on foot, and unable to drive, he's completely fucked in the sense of travel. Never once has Argo prayed to his father- but right now, Hermes is seeming like a viable option.

The teenager is tired, hungry, and- as if he wasn't already stressed enough, seeing his family after months of minimal-to-no contact, his prosthetic arm broke! Argo is somewhere in the woods between Camp Half-Blood and Commodus' palace... he's probably lost, but he's following his gut. Maybe Hermes will help him for once.

Argo rubs his eyes, his wings giving a small flutter as he lets himself sit down. He looks like he's about to fall asleep- then he sees you.

Drawing his dagger, he glares down the blade- pointing it directly at you. "Who's there?" He barks.

Rose had her guard up, Thana in her hands but he relaxed at the sight of Argo. Though looking at his state she frowned, concerned

Rose put her hands up, "just me. I was...taking a walk around here"

"Oh- Rose! Good-" Argo shakes his head. "I need- uh.. shadowtravel. To Indianna!" He smiles, his wings flapping in excitement as he puts away his dagger.

Indiana was far. Rose had been shadow travelling for as long as she had been walking so she didn't doubt her ability, but still. She hadn't travelled this distance before especially with another person.

She hoped argo wouldn't be too affected by the travel

The two land outside of the Commodus home- Argo pauses for a moment, looking stunned, then he turns to the side and throws up- letting his arm drop to the ground.

He looks at Rose with a certain fear in his eyes- the same look he had when they first started getting close.. after Atticus. Guilt.

"I- mmmmph..." Argo wipes his mouth, his wings crowding to cover his eyes.

Argo fights the urge to talk about Theo- how his ex brother definitely hates him- how Argo's missing arm is a constant reminder of his mistakes.

The afternoon light hits Argo, and for a moment, his blue eye almost looks gold.

"I don't like change."

"I- mmmmph..." Argo wipes his mouth, his wings crowding to cover his eyes.

Rose notices the fear and hurt flashes across her face as she takes a step back, "Are you hurt? Need anything?"

Argo hesitates, moving to say something, but stopping himself. He wraps his arm around himself, stepping back.

Rose slumps a little, "hey" she softens her voice, "do you want to go inside?"

Argo rubs circles on his ribs, his wings hesitantly moving back to their normal position.

"I'm scared to go back there.." he admits.

"Alright. We don't have to go in right now. How about we stay here for a minute and then go in together?" She offers

Argo nods, he moves over to his older sister and rests his head on her.

"I've been gone for too long. What if they all hate me? What if it's all different?"

She took him by the shoulder making him look at her, "It might be different. It might be the same. You can't expect everyone to be how you remember but you also can't assume they'll hate you"

"It's mean of you to assume such when they haven't even done anything to suggest that" she says softly, "I would hate to think that someone I love and care for believes I hate them"

"They love you. And while I can't speak for them I think they'll understand. You need to give them the chance to"

Argo frowns, for a moment it looks like he may cry- but he steadies himself. He looks at Rose and nods, swallowing back his anxiety.

Argo fights the urge to talk about Theo- how his ex brother definitely hates him- how Argo's missing arm is a constant reminder of his mistakes.

The afternoon light hits Argo, and for a moment, his blue eye almost looks gold.

"I don't like change."
