The common snipe is a migratory bird that flies to the west-south during autumn when all birds migrate as they go to hibernate near Africa, they often migrate in small groups. they need to regularly land to rest, in which they go and find food, sleep, or just relax. this group was also resting at the Lepelaarsplassen (Almere, Flevoland), while one of the common snips is foraging along the waterside, he makes his way to a few other common snips of his group, when he wants to pass he seems to be stopped by another common snipe that seems to threaten him! this was a first for me! but it's super cool to see how one common snipe keeps his leg stiff and the other persistently wants continue! (See video for full scene).
