Sometimes, I see a pair of crows foraging for food, idly hopping around, doing a "caw caw" and then flying off together and I'm like: this must be what romance means.

Ladies and gents...
It is always nice to see the different appearances of male and female birds. Some of them are more striking, like the Cardinals, others are more subtle, like the Bluebirds. I personally find them equally beautiful.
(The males are in the middle)
The House Finches are also in love. The female is begging the male to feed her, which he happily does.
Rick and Ilsa had a strategic lunch to figure out what color the children’s room should have. She has not laid more eggs and is sitting on the three she has laid more or less frequently now, so I think that might be the clutch size for the first try of the year. I am keeping an eye on things.
A House Finch couple.
The male Cardinals have started to sing. I think the females are listening.
House Finches galore! The couple was perfectly in synch, the sunlight made the males look like dusty red velvet, and then there is this little chubby baby that keeps showing up.
Couples III
She brought a snack again! The babies are looking fantastic, they are starting to peek out of the box, are very awake, exercise their wings, and some already show the white eyering.
