Record number of empty houses at C&C mobile home park
But when your company policy is: We like to accuse you of lying and threaten you if eviction, if you have a problem, move your ass out, I guess that's not so very surprising after all, is it?
Have a problem?
Don't bother even trying to get it solved at C&C mobile home park! Where the maintenance man is unreachable and the Lanlords could care less!
A pretty story for you
What happens after hours and on the weekends here in C&C Mobile Home Park? Sources say, besides the relentless partying of drugs, alcohol, noise-makers and the sexually over-active, we also have a NEW lovely to add to the equation. Namely this: A man in the park frequently borrows OFFICIAL TOWN VEHICLES from the Town of Wise, yet does not (or no longer) works for the town, and is using the vehicles for his own personal benefit. You got it-he's "borrowing" read: stealing, the vehicle after hours and on weekends to use as his own personal vehicle.
Sources also state the landlords were made aware of this situation, but have refused to IN ANY WAY PENALIZE their renter or make sure these illegal activities do not continue within their park.

" What's up with all the traffic in and out of there right after UPS and FedEx runs there every other day. Is it drug deals possibly "
Wise County opinion speaks for itself...
A tale of utility thieves
And the varieties thereof
The FIRST kind: Steals from their neighbors, using outdoor spigots, or even goes door-to-door begging water from the neighbors in the form of empty plastic jugs. Mind you-there's still plenty of money for drugs, alcohol and cable TV, but not money for water? Or in the case of electricity or cable-will piggy-back off of your line (without asking) or bring you the sad, limp end of an extension cord begging to let them borrow electricity for a day, a week, a month, because GOD KNOWS they have to run that new flat-screen TV. The SECOND kind Steals directly from the utility company itself. By splicing wires near their home, turning meters back on that have been shut off, running extra lines or pipes from where the bare ends are capped and a meter used to be, by digging, probing or tracing back wires and pipe-lines to find active lines to piggy-back off of.
Landlords know about said utility thieves, have been complained to about them, have seen the arrest records in the papers, but what, dear readers, do our landlords from the park we love to hate do about it?
Another bedtime story
Not so very long ago, it was rumored that an inebriated person borrowed a neighbor's car within the park that we all love to hate. It follows that said car was soon wrecked-taking out the porch of another neighbor within the park. What was done about this, we may ask? This of course was not the first account of inebriated drivers running into other neighbor's houses, as one driver was actually sued for running into a neighbor's house, just shortly after the house was moved into the neighborhood!
A story of the cursing neighbors
And the cops that chased them all across the park.
No kidding one delightful inmate of C&C mobile home park in Wise, VA had it out with a neighbor at approximately 3 am one morning. The cops were called, and surprise, surprise, actually responded. Once they arrived, however, the delightful man (rumor says intoxicated) began to curse out the cops, while traversing the neighborhood, being closely followed by said cops. To say the least, the party of ill-mannered people awoke very much of the neighborhood, including yours truly, and yet strangely, this person was not prosecuted by either the law or the landlords. In fact, the poor neighbor who called to report the incident was further victimized by the landlords when they called to complain that this happened often, because "nobody else ever heard it".
Not too very long ago
There was a shooting in our neighborhood very recently-no reported deaths, perpetrator never caught-how lovely:/
A good one for you...
A certain person living within the park has (or had), unknown at present, a porch sitting in their yard waiting for installation. It had patiently waited the bitter cold and snowy days of winter, out of the way, simply awaiting a better day for installation. The house and yard were relatively well kept, aside from this porch, while all around there were yards filled with garbage, broken items, trash bags, trash cans, porches crammed with furniture, trash, broken items, etc. Yet despite these obviously messy (and dare I say TRASHY) people surrounding them, the landlords chose the one house with a well kept yard to BITCH about-claiming if the family did not either install or remove the porch from the property in 24 hours, they would be evicted. Meanwhile the trash heaps all around the house are growing, attracting insects, rodents and thoroughly reeking, and the porch is harming no one.
Apartments in Wise, VA
Our favorite park we love to hate now has a YELP review page. We'd love to see some other members step forward and voice their opinions!
Another story to scare you, to horrify!
Well it seems a certain young family had rented a trailer within our park we love to hate. They paid cash for their deposit, then rented through housing assistance. When they decided to move out-it was thought amongst themselves that the housing authority's notice of termination of the lease would be enough to do the park as notice of leaving. Even the housing authority told the young couple-don't worry we'll take care of it, we'll let your landlord know you're moving, you just get ready to move.
Well it turns out that SOMEBODY was lying!
When it came time for the young couple to retrieve their deposit on their house-the landlords said they would not be receiving one, because they had FAILED TO NOTIFY THEM THAT THEY WERE MOVING.
Despite the housing authority's reassurance everything would be ok-and a faxed copy of termination of the lease through the housing authority-the young couple was DENIED THEIR REFUND!
We are still waiting on more details concerning the case, since the young renters will be fighting this!
But this instance, young ones, is not the only case of being denied a refund on a deposit within this park. Every chance they get the landlords will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to keep the deposit
BUYER BEWARE!
I tell you a story of cat fights
and buck fights and other fights in the middle of the street. Male/Male, Female/Female, Male/Female, Husband/Wife-nobody cares. Happens daily. I once watched a combo fight-bf/gf arguing, gf then chases girl rival and bf chaser down the street, then chases bf down the street with a broom. Very interesting except when it happens almost daily.
A story of fireworks and 100 highly flammable houses all jammed in together less than 9 feet apart
Need I say more?
Please allow me to entertain with yet another horror story
from everybody's love-to-hate-it-park.
There is a man here within the park who used to be the maintenance man here. He was arrested-I've heard for drugs, I've heard for violence, either way THAT'S bad enough, but it's highly likely it was for both.
Either way, he has a terrible personality-one which can only be described as the rudest, most ignorant, evil, male-chauvinistic, redneck, irritating and highly irrational personality known to planet Earth.
This is the kind of person that, in normal places, would scarcely keep a job for driving away customers. The kind that cannot open it's mouth without insulting someone, and tries the very hardest to insult WOMEN in particular in any way possible.
He is perverted and rude, loves to peek into windows at night, urinate in the middle of the street and start fights. He drinks and becomes a meaner drunk, bums drugs and alcohol off of anyone he can-will steal anything not nailed down.
This man is still currently in prison but on a work-release program.
GUESS who hires the man to work within our drug and violence riddled park we all love to hate?
Of course-the unbelievably brain-rot addled current landlords of the the park we love to hate.
WHO in their right mind invites THIS kind of personality BACK into a place that just ENCOURAGES this behavior?!?! WHO in their right mind hires such a man INTO A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR?!?!
Any complaints about this person's behavior are blown off-and the complainers left to deal with the theft, poor behavior, perversions and what-have-you that this man manages to accomplish within the park while out on his work-release schedule.
And the Landlords?
They are secure in the knowledge that they can do no wrong and nobody is going to do a thing about it.
Lovely encouraging tale for you to sleep on!
A story of the man who got evicted
because he got STABBED.
Again children, we remind you that ALL of our horror stories are 100% true. This one takes place many months ago.
Two gentlemen (again I use the term lightly) got into an argument. Now I was not there for the argument, nor do I remember exactly what their argument was about. I suppose that is really neither here nor there in the long run, but there it is anyway. One of these two men turned to leave the argument, whether it was out of frustration or just because there was nothing left to say, we do not know. Once his back was fully turned on his companion, he was promptly STABBED IN THE BACK, and had to be hospitalized.
Of course, once this fiasco got around to the landlords they took prompt action.
And evicted the man who had been stabbed, while allowing his attacker to continue living in the park.
I SAY AGAIN-THEY EVICTED THE MAN WHO HAD BEEN STABBED AND ALLOWED HIS ATTACKER TO CONTINUE LIVING IN THE PARK.
A story of "fend for yourself"
and you better hope you don't have any accidents.
Every winter here in Virginia, it snows. Everybody-anticipate that fact right now!
According to VA state law-landlords are required to ensure the health and safety of their tenants, which includes clearing the snow from common walkways, etc, and making sure surfaces aren't slippery and/or could cause a potential health hazard.
IF you're very lucky, the park we love to hate will plow or clear the common areas once each winter. And that's usually at the very last minute. We've had several cars slide, run off the road, and yes even HIT other people's houses. Luckily there have been no deaths...
yet...
