Read a short story with a vampire and instantly thought of the movies 'Interview with the Vampire' and the 'The Godfather' - at the same time. Just had to paint Xiao Zhan in this mixed style.

Random talk: “After an hour fighting with my image program. I give up. At some point I have to find a good tutorial on how to best export my images from the selected painting program in the correct color space. Today the skin color was either too yellow or too red. Or the saturation has gone crazy. *exhale* I will now sit on the terrace with a good book and enjoy the spring sun.” 😅

Sometimes I watch dramas with a random watch group/party. And towards the end, we figured out that we were waiting for OOL. As it turned out, some Yang Zi fans were there. They were so positive and lovely. Whoever you were, this is for you.

I struggled with this painting. Still, I tried my best. I don't know how often I change her cheeks. Her face can look so different depending on the light. Still so much to learn.

Note: This one was a struggle, because I didn’t know if I want it with more soft line or  rougher lines.

As it is quite complicated as someone from Europe to shop in mainland China. I just watch others go hunting for clothes (new Li-Ning endorsement). And imagine modern Xiao Zhan with longer hair. 😉 Probably never will, except maybe for a drama / movie.

This time I used softer brushes around the skin. I'm still trying to figure out how to mix different brush styles.

How not to love the friendship between Xiao Zhan and Na Ying? She was/is a great mentor to him. They make my heart warm when they sing together.

Last week I listened to my music playlist "Your Most Heard Songs 2020". And so, among other, Nilusi's song "A des vies de toi" came up. Such a beautiful song. Her voice is really lovely, apart from the fact that French is a beautiful language. When the pandemic is over, I can't wait to travel around Europe again.
