Reflect on the tracks you have made, they serve as reminders of how far you have come and that only you are in control how far you go. This has been a big year for me, so I am taking time to acknowledge my personal achievements. The most valuable to me is the progress I have made with the crippling anxiety I have had most of my life. It's a good time to also thank my family and friends who have been my lifeline and who without I truly wouldn't be here today.

Not long ago I was waiting for sunset at the Opera House steps in Sydney, It wasn’t the perfect light and surroundings that made me grateful, it was the people.

Around me there were many with different ethnicities, existing and interacting with each other peacefully. It was a beautiful sight and one that created a moment of gratitude for the place I call home and the country I was born in, Australia. My reflection that evening was that I did nothing to deserve this lucky life and was simply born into it. It was my parents who had fled their homeland for a better life, it was their efforts and Australia accepting them that made it all possible. I have faith that in time many more will call Australia home and that the very words from our anthem prevail ‘We’ve boundless plains to share’. Photography for me truly speaks all languages and I hope images continue to change the world and encourage acceptance and equality.
