I come with good news, well, at least for me, anyway.
My website finally has its own checkout enabled!! *YAY*
The excitement comes from being given the opportunity to be the driving force behind its creative design. I sat and decided which features I really needed to have and my very talented web designer created it all for me. The listings creator is simple and absolutely incredible. Rather than jumping through hoops like on other websites, I can create completely bespoke listings with the ability to save the options should I need them again in the future (which I almost certainly will).
I have also been beavering away updating my pre-existing listing text so that they make at least a little bit of sense. Before working in the new back end of the site, the data from the listings used to be pulled in from Etsy and so some item descriptions would suggest going to my website to look at more of my work... Of course, It doesn't take a genius to know that if you're already on my website you don't need to be told to go there. *slaps forehead*
Having spent a long time staring at different pages, I decided to do a little work on the imagery and linking, too, so that things are a little more fresh. Even good design stagnates if left for too long and throwing a little curve ball in there certainly doesn't hurt!
I've also finally managed to dress up my small salon jewellery selection with some new busts and ring/bracelet holders to give my work a little more presence in that space! Boy, it wasn't cheap to do but it is worth it, and certainly adds a little more class to the display rather than having pieces strew across a flat sheet of glass. (and apparently often falling off!)

Coming home from Greece was actually relatively painless because I knew I would have so much to fill my time. Do I wish I was still there? A little bit, yes, but I've been having so much fun with this I don't mind as much.
All in all, I feel like everything is coming together for this holiday season, with new listings on my website, on Amazon Handmade, Etsy and also The Princes Trust Tomorrow Store (Online).
Nobody can say I'm not trying to advertise!
