work:  designing a logo plus start package of media 

description:  SILL LED as subsidiary of Digilux GmbH provides high end LED technics to illuminate buildings in big dimensions and needed a corporate design, starting with a fresh logo. The client decided for the third version.

description: After creating a new brand design for Willmann + Kollegen Steuerberatung, we also made sure that the printing process in Pantone 072C would be done to our fullest satisfaction. It’s always quite exciting to see how your designs get to life with the help of these big machines and printing people who know how to handle those machines. We thought it might be interesting for our client as well, so I documented little steps of the production process.

work:  Create three life-sized as vector illustration

desciption: For an inhouse exhibition about how new inventions and start-up company ideas influence the customers' lives the client asked for three characters to present at one banner wall. The illustrations were used for other materials as well.

description:  Freund GmbH is an Austrian company with an establishment in Berlin. They have 40 plus year long successful history as trading partner and manufacturer, on a national and international level.

Not only do they offer the up-to-date trends concerning mural design, they also provide innovative materials for special interior design. Their customers are designers, architects and constructers who distinguish themselves with exclusive projects in comparison to their competing companies. So when the client requested a brochure it was clear the look had to be quite clean.

project:  Magazine “Junge Wissenschaft”

description:  The magazine “Junge Wissenschaft” (Young Researcher) is a platform for young reasearchers to publish their scientific work. It's published quarterly and contains 4 to 6 articles about projects that were submitted to the official “Jugend forscht” competition. After they have been checked and accepted to be published, we put them into a neat layout – for almost 4 years now. Designing the articles is a little bit different from "classic text": there's a lot of mathematics, physical or chemical formulas as well as many charts.

work:  logo layout, brand concept, layout, pre-press, newletter, screendesign description:  Hauptstadtreisen needed a re-design of their communication tools, starting with their logo. Biggest project has been creating the catalogue including photo research and concepting the new website as screen design.

description: I created several layouts for the merchandising product line of Universität Freiburg. Freiburg is known to be one of the sunniest cities in Germany. And it's close to the Black Forest. That's why I came up with the tree designs. The other fine line illustrations are linked to the entrance of the main university building, and the sculptures in front of it (Homer and Aristoteles).

description:  The client 3M Germany requested a brochure for IT related markets to hand out. It should combine information about the company's history, their innovative character and of course their broad product range.

description:  The magazine “Junge Wissenschaft” (Young Researcher) is a platform for young reasearchers to publish their scientific work. It’s published quarterly and contains 4 to 6 articles about projects that were submitted to the official “Jugend forscht” competition, checked and accepted to be published. Also the magazine reports about scientific news, dates, education and projects. Finding a title that represents the main topic of every single issue is a challenge and fun at the same time – for almost 4 years now I am mainly taking care of this project.

project:  brochure "Vom Anfang und Ende"

description:  My ex co-worker's mother helps people to cope with death and the death of loved ones. She collected stories written by people in her workshop, about the topic "death". These different, quite heartwarming and intense stories were brought together into the format of a little book, completed with illustrations and some composition work – and now this book is used to make others regain strength by knowing they are not alone with these feelings.

description: If you’d ask old Berliners for the famous Currywurst, “Maximilian” would be a historic brand they connect with this delicious sausage right away. Unfortunately the company had to go through economic struggles and asked us to redesign their logo. The task was to give the brand a look which reminds of the history and reputation, but still addresses young people in Berlin as well. So besides giving the logo a lift-up we designed several media to make the brand more visible in the city. The copy written on those hipster bags were my idea as well.

project:  free student Magazine “ISS WAS”

description:  The free magazine ISS WAS (the german translation is a word play of "Eat something" and "What's going on?") presents the menue of Frankfurts cafeterias every two weeks. Along with that come stories around the campus, tipps & tricks for a student's life and some cultural announcements. Besides finding a fitting cover and layouting the plan, ISS WAS lives from the kind of "diletant" illustrations which are like a red line through the magazine. It's usually fun to let them pop out... along with some funny words as well.
