these days have been hard for you, but i’ve loved nothing more than being right here at your side. ever since i started trying my best to get my life together and ultimately succeeded with your help, things have been wonderful. i haven’t been placed in an institution in over a year (though i was very close to losing myself during the few months earlier this year when we didn’t speak much) and i’ve also been sober for the same durarion. i owe it all to you. i thought of you so often to the point where it trained me to keep going even if all i wanted to do was die. i couldn’t ever do enough to thank you.
you’re on the phone with me right now and i’m about to hang up because i know you need to save uour battery. but it’s just so hard to give up your presence, even if we spend every single millisecond of every day together. i still yearn for more. you are a beautiful person, inside and out. there isn’t one piece of you that isn’t perfect; if you died in a field, even the vultures wouldn’t want to disturb something so naturally beautiful.
i feel closer to you with each day that passes, and though i know you like the back of my hand, i’m still learning more. and that’s what i find so beautiful about us. there’s never a dull moment and there’s never tension. we love each other more than we’ve ever loved anything, and it’s so overwhelmingly clear. you’re the reason i’ve pushed so hard and am finally able to achieve the goals i set for our future. all the “what if” has now come true and it’s all because of you nini.
i’m so thankful that you never gave up on me. you know my deepest traumas and experiences, you know what i go through and you know that there are things wrong with me that can never be fixed, only managed. and you of course help me manage them and help me feel human. i love you so much and i hope you know that, always and forever.
