islaruncorn:
Isla hadn’t seen her family in some time well her dad and it was beginning to sink in. The stir crazy. Of course there was letters sent but she still had work to do before she could come back. She knew her dad loved her and well if he was spending time putting her brother in place well then she would give him the distance he neeed even though the mud bloods drove her mad. So it was she found herself walking all the way to Antonins. She was always welcome at his home which felt and was supposed to be her second well if their parents had their way. Isla wasn’t fond of many mothers.. never had been. How could anyone ask her to be.. after what her mother did. Still, walking up to Antonins heart fluttering she smiled big eyes sparking. “Antonin.” She grinned taking his hand her nails gently into his palm as she clutched it life a life jacket.
She peered past him into the doorway listening to his mom. She chuckled “did your mum hear me already?” She laughed “I swear her hearing is magic.” She whispered into her friends ear. “Have you told her about any of our fun nights out? You know I think she could be impressed and so proud of her son.” She mused grinning as she continued to whisper in his ear her other hand gripping his shoulder. “Shall I tell her if you haven’t?” After he welcomed her in the warmth hit her the smells awakening her senses. She had just arrived and already didn’t want to leave.
And a look that hadn’t been seen in her eyes since her father would twirl her as a girl shined brightly when she was pulled into an embrace that Isla returned. “It’s me mrs. dolohov. I’ve missed you both. I hope it’s alright I just stopped by.” She replied her arms brushed against her shoulder gently as she finally pulled away to look at her. “Tea sounds just perfect. Surrounded by just liquor all day.” She laughed though of course she didn’t complain about it one bit but she wouldn’t say no to anything the woman offered. She has grown quite found of his mum even when he still tried to get her son and her married. “Oh mrs. dolohov your home it’s more beautiful every time I enter it.” Isla over the years had grown quite well in learning appropriate ediquette and understanding and returning compliments.. to the right sort of course. It was hard to grasp as a child but if not for her father the little feral child in the woods would still be the deadly girl of course but not poised. She owned and carried it so well, if you ask her father’s opinion, it made her only more lethal.

sometimes the lines blurred with isla, antonin thought. usually he saw her as a pawn, someone he could use to get information out and then he saw her and she was his best friend in the whole world. the sun shone on her and his eyes glittered and he wondered how he could ever had possibly been using her to begin with when he had a heart full of something for her. it didn’t know what to name it, it definitely wasn’t disgust or hate and yet it wasn’t what he felt with mallory.
when she clutched his hand, he thought maybe she could feel that way too in her black heart as his was. somewhere they held each other in high regard, had that something for each other. breaking out of his reverie, his grin plastered on his face and his mum completely fawning over isla he started, “i’m sorry about her.” he wasn’t, his mum loved her and was glad that someone else enjoyed his mother and made her happy too. with her suggestion, he turned to his mother and said, “we should all have tea and isla and i can talk about our adventures.”
“dear, you can stop by whenever you want - you know this.” his mother told her, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “you are welcomed in this house, always.” he always wondered if his mother had wanted a daughter, and as she looked upon his friend - it seemed maybe she had. or she was just quite sure that isla would make a wonderful addition to the family as his wife. as if his mum could read his mind, a mischievous grin came upon her face. “and once you two get married, you could live here too.” his mother turned to antonin, “i would love to hear what you two have been getting up to.”
his mother went off to the kitchen and replied with a thank you with isla’s compliment. “she’ll never stop trying to send us off to be wed.” he shook his head. “did you come here for something important, issy, or just to see my wonderful mother?” he asked, with a raised eyebrow. he almost asked if she had come to see him, but antonin didn’t say a thing on it.
antonin was helping his mum with the house, cleaning and organizing. magic made these mundane tasks go by fast, fortunately, as he didn’t really enjoy cleaning or decorating or any of that. he loved spending time with his mother, though, so he drank up any time he could get with her. she had wanted to rearrange their new house, put up the new paintings she had acquired and make it more homey. he couldn’t help but give in to her request of assistance.
then there was a knock on his door and he furrowed his eyebrows. “did you invite anyone over, mum?” he called to her, and she replied with a simple no. he frowned as he made his way over to the door, opening it up and being greeted by isla runcorn. “isla!” he exclaimed, actually happy to see his best friend. “come in, come in.” he beckoned for her to come into the house.
“is that isla?” his mother asked from another room and he shouted yes back to her. his mother came speed walking to their front door, a big soft grin on her face as she took in the woman. “why, my dear, you look lovely!” mrs. dolohov then pulled isla into a short hug. “would you like anything? tea?”

malady--mallory:
“Errands for your mum?” That made Mallory smile; everyone thought that people who supported the Dark Lord were evil and vile people, horrendous and cruel – but here was someone just proving that that wasn’t always the case. Mal wasn’t one to judge people, with who she knew and who she associated herself with, but there was something just sweeter about Antonin that no-one else recognised. “That’s rather sweet, you know - which did you get her?” She questioned, peering down to see if she could get a glimpse into the bag, before then a smile ran across her lips. “Of course, I was actually just about to ask if you wanted to join me. The park is rather pretty at this time of day.”
“yeah, she has been trying out this thing you’ve probably heard of called dating.” his smiles came so easily around mallory, it felt nice. he didn’t have to fake anything, to keep his edges sharp with her. his mother was another person like this, he had always be a mommy’s boy. at her comment, he shrugged his shoulders before holding the bag out towards her to take a look. “i bought her nina ricci l'air du temps, i thought the bottle looked cool.” he had taken quite a while at he store trying to decide which perfume his mother would like. he ended up picking the nina one, only because the bottle design had caught his eye the most. “is it? i suppose i haven’t taken the time to really enjoy it.” he told her, although he still probably wouldn’t be paying much attention to nature when she was at his side.
uhlecto:
“Shattered? What a tragedy, I was going for obliterated,” She replied, the hand over heart motion Antonin made being echoed in the saccharinely sweet way she pouted. “I went on a very special work trip — if you must know.” The way she emphasized the word ‘work’ hopefully made it clear that she meant her work for the Dark Lord, not the Ministry.
“ouf,” he couldn’t help the chuckled that came out of his mouth. alecto was surely a woman to be reckoned with. and yet when she pouted, he couldn’t help but think she was adorable. “a special work trip? why, that sounds quite fun.” antonin leaned towards her some, more interested now than before. “and what did you do on this trip, dear alecto?”
lucxmalfoy:
“A man’s got to let off steam every once in a while,” Lucius said with a slight grin. Some might play golf to do so, others hurt muggleborns. Their circle just tended to prefer the latter option. “Things have been good,” he agreed with a nod. The world was changing to suit their desires and it was just as good as they had been promised. “That’s great.” While he wasn’t exactly able to understand what Antonin’s life had been like growing up, he understood his desire to make a good life for his Mother.
“of course.” he gave a nod, the wicked grin never leaving his face. even with people antonin considered friends, his smile had been fake. “not just good - amazing.” he corrected. the world was better now, and antonin was all the more grateful for all of it. “yes, well, it’s almost like something out of a dream.” he confessed to lucius, rubbing his shoulder before he turned his gaze from the man. “anyway, what’s up with you and narcissa? you guys getting married soon?”
malady--mallory:
“I know right, only the third.” Mallory sensed the teasing tone in his voice, and she shot him a cheeky smile to let him know that she was on the same wavelength. “Well, I was actually just out for a walk, hopefully around the park if I can get there. I felt so cooped up at St Mungos, so the Matron let me have some time away from the Hospital. What about you?”
“i think it’s a crime,” he stated, a big grin on his face. “that’s wonderful. the matrons seem like nice people.” antonin commented, and almost wanted to thank them for letting her out. it had allowed them to run into each other, and antonin had always enjoyed mallory’s company. “i was just out and about. i was running some errands for my mum.” he lifts up the bag that’s in his hand. “she wanted a new perfume, so i set out to find her one.” he then asked, “do you mind if i join you on your walk?”
lucxmalfoy:
“Maybe, but even if they don’t learn we can always teach them,” he replied, not exactly imagining a friendly classroom scenario. There would be plenty of opportunities to mess up people who were an actual problem so he wasn’t that bothered by the lack of opportunity in this moment. “I’m been well,” he answered with a nod, “Keeping busy. How about you?”
“i like where your heads at.” antonin chuckled, even just the idea of hurting people made him excited. the man was glad to hear that lucius was doing good. “that’s great. i’ve honestly been on cloud nine since we graduated hogwarts.” he explained, a wicked smile on his face. ever since voldemort came into power, antonin felt he could do whatever he wanted - within reason of course. “my mother and i are in a much better position now.” he had been happy to have a nicer life for himself and for his mom who had worked so hard when he was a child. now, he had a good job and she didn’t have to worry about anything.
“Grateful to you?” He wrote raising an eyebrow. “I most certainly am not. If what I believe in is delusional well I’m happy to be. I’d rather be what you consider delusional than anything like you and live the life you believe in.” He wrote. “Your threats mean nothing to me.” He wrote keeping his face plain. “Leaving the cafe yes, leaving here not even close. Enjoy your tea”.
@dolohovboy
antonin didn’t respond to the mudblood, opting to keep his smile plastered on his face as he watched him. the boy would probably end up dead sooner rather than later if he kept this up. it may not be himself that got the honors to do the mudblood in, but the world would be better off without him. at least he was voiceless, so he couldn’t cause to much of a riot. antonin gave a nod as he watched alaric leave, picking up his tea and taking a sip. “ah, the tea is wonderful, thank you!” he called to the waitress.
“Momma, Momma, let me tell you how I burn, how I revel in it, red-eyed and feral, how flames flicker across my teeth. Let me tell you how I set every goddamn fire myself, how it is hell and heaven, agony and ecstasy devouring themselves inside of me, how I scream the prayers you taught me until my throat rips itself into a bloody, shredded thing. Momma, let me tell you how I became relentless. Momma, let me tell you how I became the light.”

narcissablackk:
Narcissa couldn’t help but pucker her lips slightly at the older boy’s rude response. Though her blue eyes gleamed with challenge, “ Tell me Dolohov, do you think I constantly follow Lucius around like some pet?”. The blonde arched an eyebrow at him while her lips formed a smirk.
antonin looked at her with all seriousness in his face and said, “is there more you are good for than a pesky little housewife?” he then put on a smile and added, “i’m only messing with you, narcissa. you want me to buy you a drink?”
DOLOHOV
“Sometime during fifth year, I considered working for the Ministry, but my father thought I wouldn’t be a perfect fit or thought I wouldn’t like it.”
antonin listened to ronaldo, tapping a finger on the table as he did so. “do you always listen to what your father tells you?” he questioned, half serious and half joking. “if you want to go anywhere in this world, i would suggest applying to some ministry job.” he told the younger man, still waiting for his order.
malady--mallory:
Mallory stood there for a moment as Antonin looked her over, almost motionless except for the movement of her chest with every breath she took. She knew a lot of people didn’t like him; a lot of people didn’t like the people she tended to hang out with, due to their affiliation in this war, but Tony was just one of those people that she wasn’t scared of. “Sunnier? I like that, you know. Almost as if I’m brighter.” She shot him a small smile. “I’m the sort of person who needs confirmation of something a thousand times just to calm down my inner anxiety, and you’re the third person I think who’s said it looks nice - so thank you.”
antonin had always thought mallory was beautiful, and no matter the hair color she always would be to him. “yes, exactly that.” he let her hair drop from his finger and he eased away from her. “only the third?” he asked a little surprised, yet teasing all the same. “say, what are you out and about for?” antonin questioned, curious as to what she was up to and maybe he could somehow include himself in it.
lucxmalfoy:
“Mm. I keep hoping people will get smarter and yet,” he trailed off, gesturing at the figure of the retreating man he had been talking to. Lucius shook his head lightly, “Unfortunately he was just unintelligent, not completely lacking in common sense when it comes to which side to stand on.” Even their side had idiots and he didn’t really have to patience to put up with it.
“that’s the difference between you and i,” antonin told him. “you still hold onto that hope.” his eyes trained on the disappearing figure, and almost wished it had been someone he could mess up. “that’s a shame.” he then turned his eyes onto the malfoy man. “how’ve you been, lucius? besides dealing with all these fools.”
DOLOHOV
“I’ve been working here for a while.”
Ronaldo had his eyes focused on the pot full of boiling pasta as he magically set a timer. Ronaldo’s brown eyes met with Antonin’s eyes as he sighed. “Well, besides working here, I’m also a part of the Wimbourne Wasps, but if I could, I would get a much better job anywhere than just being here helping my father out,” he stated.
“i suppose it’s a nice little job right after hogwarts.” antonin shrugged, looking around the restaurant once again. he could remember being a child, the rare moments his mother and him scrapped enough money to come to nice restaurants like this for this birthday. “ah, i thought i’d heard your name somewhere!” he recalled reading about the wimbourne wasps in the paper, had seen ronaldo’s name in it. “would you work for the ministry?”
thesilentlionalaric:
“Your entitlement won’t change that,” he wrote gathering his books. Sure enough there it was .. that arrogance. “Interesting your worried. We are not going anywhere. Your threats don’t change a thing.” He scribbled. “Honestly do you have no other way to spend your time?” He wrote standing beginning to walk away, his sentence was scrawled very last page of his notebook
“entitlement,” antonin hummed, not offended in the slightest. it almost made him chuckle, the guy couldn’t even spit it out of his own mouth he had to write it down. “you know, you are quite the comical mudblood.” he chuckled. “how delusional are you. the world is changing and for the better. dumbledore is gone, has been and lord voldemort is in control.” he stated, it was just a fact. “you should feel grateful you’re still alive, but i doubt you will be much longer.” antonin shrugged, staying nonchalant. “why, i simply came into this cafe to relax and drink some delicious tea. it just so happens a mudblood was here, and now they are leaving.”
