One of the most fascinating details about Ishmael's character that I've noticed is her desperation/obsession with attempting to enforce order on an absurd world, something that I think is quite relevant given the impending release of Canto X. It's not a direct detail so much as a background trait of hers, like believing that Wings follow expected corporate courtesy against poaching in Canto IV, or attempting to create a clear-cut black-and-white dichotomy in her conflict with Ahab, but in general, she seems to want a world where rules are predictable and inviolate. This makes sense given her evident trauma of sailing the Great Lakes and hunting Calamities; while even the Lakes have laws which can be understood and followed, the Calamities break every rule and force the world into absurdity and chaos.

I think it would be interesting for Ishmael to get a Season 8 N Corp ID that explores how fascism uses the false allure of a sensible society where you succeed if you just follow all the rules in order to lead people into complacency and complicity. It would make for an interesting parallel to Meursault who did follow all the rules just right in hopes of understanding other people but who gave people the ick and so got punished despite that promise of rationality.
