I suppose a refinement of my point with regards to how it feels Qifrey never grew up would be to say he never cast away the child within him. He never stopped being that child; he only learnt to temper himself with experience. Unlike other adults who seem to let themselves forget how it felt to be a child and treat children much like the adults they once hated treated them, Qifrey has never stopped being that child who felt ever alone in the world. It's interesting, and looking at it that way it makes sense he puts so much trust in Coco especially.
