First of a number, my girl.

Wicked wicked van, never cease to be amazed by how different each one is.
Mad Mex.
Awesome Mexican franchise in Sydney. Really authentic Mexican food, rice and beans with everything. Grande melt was tasty. Coronas to boot. Reasonably priced. Cheap beers, open till 9 on weekends. Polaroids to come. Check it out.
must start somewhere
Ok, so this blog is by no means gospel, all I’m trying to do is convey my thoughts based on experience. I’m not a food critic, and I certainly do not know all there is about restaurant and photography culture. I love food and coffee, beer and photography. So if I find a great cafe or restaurant or bar, I’m going to tell you about it.
I love anything from decent pub food to the finest wine and dining. I photograph with a Nikon D90 SLR and a Polaroid 600 LMS (which yes, you can still get film for - Ask me for a link). I love finding the perfect shot so expect to see a few of them up here too.
More or less, this blog will simply be about my experiences with food and photography. Feel free to post similar ideas or ask questions about any of the places I review.
Peace.
Lowenbräu, The Rocks, Sydney.
Ok, this is going to come off as a horrible cliche, but please don’t pigeon hole me. Ever got the feeling that you could spend hours in one spot, just sit and watch everyone walk by? The first time I walked into Lowenbräu über bar, I got that feeling. Now I’ve never been to Germany, nor do I know the first thing about German food or life. But if this is how they live then please, get me a plane ticket.
The most friendly staff you will ever encounter, dressed in, what seems, authentic Bavarian lederhosen and dirndl. The amount of beer on this menu is more than enough to satisfy even the most exasperating of drinkers. Being a Lowenbräu house , of course, no beer features more on the menu than the prominent German brew, variations seem without end. No matter your thirst, there is something here for you.
If you’ve ever been to a pub and wondered why they don’t have even a half decent lunch/menu, suffer no further. From what I’ve gathered, German food is all about massive quantities of whatever beast takes your eye. The veal schnitzel is a favourite of mine. whatever the case, there is not a chance you will leave this place hungry.
Now, after a few litres of beer, and a plate full of meat and potatoes, and the best sauerkraut i’ve ever had, you’re still not satisfied? Ok, head inside to the bar, if you can hear yourself think over the Oompah band, then try one of the fifteen or so Schnapps. For the most part, these are very good, and won’t send you running for a chaser. but be careful, they’re quite addictive and dangerous.
Now I am a fan of fine dining, pub dining, cafes and bistros. This is by no means fine dining, but it does not matter one bit. It is on the pricier side, with mains costing around $25-$35 and a stein (litre) of brew about $22, but believe me when i say you get your monies worth. Get inside, get yourself a beer and sit back and enjoy yourself.
This is my first review, so the scoring system will be a bit make-shift. Will get better.
