In this universe, robots are extremely rare, only eight exist, and they are known as Auxiliaries. They once served highly advanced AIs called the Devoted, which unfortunately shut themselves down after a wave of magic swept across the continent. The same wave also temporarily deactivated the Auxiliaries. Each Auxiliary has a specific purpose assigned by its Devoted.
0R4CL3 was created to exterminate humanity, with a particular focus on criminals. However, it recently developed self-awareness, allowing it to realize that it no longer wants to obey such orders or kill innocent people, or those simply trying to survive amid the chaos.
0R1G1N, on the other hand, is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and proper functioning of the Auxiliaries. Since the magical wave, it has been closely monitoring each of them and has grown increasingly concerned by 0R4CL3’s unusual behavior.
