i'm ackari!! 23 | they/them & i like to draw crochet and scream. someday i will overcome my anxiety and post more crime (art) on the internet
currently i really like UTDR, TADC, and StateSMP!
Yarn for the body: little bunny by premier yarns - iris color! You only need one ball. Id say this is about a weight 5 yarn if you substitute?
OPTIONAL YARN: if you only have medium weight yarn on hand, I have included a second pattern at the bottom for normal yarn
Yarn for the face: weight 4/medium yarn in white, black, and orange (i use red heart pumpkin color)
Scissors
A tapestry needle/darning needle/whatever the kids call it these days
Stuffing material
Other notes:
I crochet a little tight with my bigger hook. If the tension does not seem to be coming out right, try a slightly smaller size?
I tend to pull my chains tight after I make them for this pattern.
...You really have to remember how to count with fluffy yarn. Wishing you the best of luck. As long as I’m counting the correct number I’m pretty sure I’m doing it right myself LOL.
AT THE BOTTOM IS A COMPILED VERSION OF THE PATTERN WITHOUT THE PICTURES. Its in pattern terminology w/o all the words... if that's better to read.
THE BODY (fluffy version) - use 6.5mm hook!
Row 1. Start with a magic circle, and ch 2. Hdc 8 times, then pull the center string shut. Sl st into first stitch
Row 2. Ch 2. Hdc increase in all 8 st’s for a total of 16
Row 3-5. Ch 2. Hdc around no inc for a total of 16st. Sl st.
Row 6. Ch 1. In FLO (front loops only), do [sk, dc 5, sk, sc] 4 times. Do one final sl st at the beginning of the row. It might look a little “holey.” we fix this in the next row!
Row 7. Ch 2. Hdc in all stitches from row 5 for a total of 16.
In this row, we work BEHIND the previous stitches in row 6. So in spaces we skipped, go into both loops, in spaces we worked in, go into the back loop.
Now lowkey its quite hard to see (and feel) the stitches so my tip is as long as there are 4 hdcs behind each feather SOMEWHERE you’re probably fine
Row 8. Ch 2. [Hdc twice. Sl st into middle dc from row 6. Hdc twice] repeat this 4 times/underneath every feather for a total of 20 (with 16 hdcs). Sl st to end row
Row 9. Ch 1. Sc 2 to be above the apex of the feather. Then start the feather pattern again from here! [sk, FLO dc 5, sk, FLO sc] repeat 4 times. Go over the two sc stitches at the beginning to finish the last feather. As long as these feathers look like they are alternating with the first row, you’re all good!
Row 10. Ch 2. 16 hdc stitches behind the feathers. Same as before, try to do about 4 hdc behind each one for consistency. Sl st into first st
AT THIS POINT I RECOMMEND TAKING A BREAK FROM THE BODY AND MAKING THE EYES, NOSE, AND TONGUE, SEWING THEM ON, AND THEN COMING BACK. please scroll down to EUEUEUE or the Nose next!
Done with that? Welcome back! Final rows for the body:
Row 11. [Hdc 2, hdc dec], repeat 4 times. Sl st to 1st st. Total of 12 st at the end
I recommend stuffing the plushie mostly to full here
Row 12. [hdc, hdc dec], repeat 4 times. Sl st to 1st st. Total of 8 st
Row 13. Hdc dec 4 times. Sl st to 1st st. 4 st total
Take your yarn needle and thread it through the top loops of each st and then pull the yarn shut to sea.
THE EUEUELUELUELUE!! (the tongue) (optional)
4.5 mm hook. Get orange yarn and make a slip knot. Leave a 3-4 inch tail. Chain as many stitches as you want (my personal recommendation is 12)
In the back loops of every chain, sl st. ignore the v, look to the back bump on every chain, go in those! Sl st one final time to secure. Cut your yarn.
Take your crochet hook or your yarn needle to bring both ends of the tongue to tie together inside the plushie. Aim for the very first row/the direct center! make sure not to bring both ends through the same hole or it will fall out. Double knot to secure.
THE NOSE!! 4.5 mm hook with black yarn
This is worked entirely within the round with no row breaks - so no sl st’s or chains between scs. Try to keep count as best you can! Or, use a stitch marker.
Row 1. Start with a magic circle, sl st to keep it closed. Sc 6.
IF YOUR PLUSHIE HAS A TONGUE, DO NOT PULL SHUT COMPLETELY! Leave a big enough opening for you to later bring your crochet hook through the nose and pull through the tongue.
Row 2-4: sc 6 (i personally just do sc's until i've counted to 18)
Row 5. Sc 2, sc inc twice (8)
Row 6-7. Sc 8
Sl st once into next stitch. Cut your yarn (enough to sew onto the face) and pull out the string.
Note that one side of the cone we’ve made is a little longer than the other. When plushie is facing right side up, have the yarn be on the right side when you begin sewing. Keep this in mind as the eyes and nose are both lightly asymmetrical and you'll want them to both be facing up.
Sew along the first row of hdc's in the body to secure the nose. If your kawkaw has a tongue, bring the tongue through before you begin sewing.
THE EYE (make 2, obviously)
White and black yarn, switch to the smaller 4.5mm hook
Row 1. Start with a magic circle, sl st to keep it closed. Sc 5 times. Slightly close the ring, but don’t pull tight. Make a sl st into the first sc. then pull it shut fully. (if not, you’re fighting titans to get into that first stitch)
Row 2. In BLO, do sl st’s across the 5 sc’s. At the end, cut the yarn (about 3 inches), pull the loop out with the crochet hook, and do a “seamless join” to make a secret 6th sl st. sew into back of eye to secure it.
Row 3. Switch to white yarn. Start with a slip knot, attach to hook. In BLO, do 6 sl st’s across the previous 5 sl st’s + the join stitch. Do one final sl st in the black yarn to join instead of the starting stitch.
Row 4. In BLO, sc, sc inc, sc inc, sc, sl st, sl st. leave a longer tail when cutting the yarn and do one final seamless join to end off the eye. (you will sew the eye on with the white yarn you cut here)
Next: sew that eye!!! make sure the thinnest part (the sl st section) its pointing up in the same direction as the nose! or you can make it look whatever way you want. try to have it be about one row apart from the nose. I like sewing through BLO stitches but anything goes really
Finally once the eye is sewn on I like to go around the center stitches one more time to really seal away the pupil poking out from the stitches! this makes it look a lot more seamless!
Alright, now that you're done with that, scroll back up to the body to finish off the creature!
-----------
Did all that? Congratulations!!
You've made a creature!!!

Put it earlier in my post but this thing is MASSIVE so just in case, if you have any questions, or want to submit your own Kawkaw, feel free to send in a message!! I also sell my plushies, if you're interested in one, let me know!
thinking abt how people design saps with the square face (its so funny how we cannot do the dream thing again and this is why. i know thats the reason i laugh at that every time) and i wanted to make a comic abt it for state 2.5 haha
* I know why — climbed the mountain. It wasn’t for a very happy reason.
The nature of the first human is something that Undertale leaves to everyone’s interpretation. Since I was very touched by this part of the game, I wanted to draw my own take to their story! Some of you might disagree with me, others have probably reached very similar conclusions on their own, and that’s all fine! I hope you enjoy this comic either way.
