In this bizarre universe, people have secondary genders. Their mind would tell who their mate is through dreams and those are the help needed to determine your true mate’s identity.
You would not know the scent of your mate yet. But that is where the Eros technique is utilised. You have to shoot your mate with a non-fatal arrow covered in your scent and let their instincts be awakened. The tip of the arrow must hit the target for a guaranteed trigger of your mate’s instincts. It is highly advisable the arrow is drenched in your scent. This can be simply called ‘the Eros technique’, inspired by the Greek god of love and lust who shoots arrows to make a human fall in love
