The past couple months Ive been facing an increasing number of health conditions. The most relevant part is that I have been experiencing extreme fatigue. This has led to inconsistent posting. After a lot of reflection, i have decided to abandon this blog. It dose not bring me the joy it once did and there are other things in my life I want to prioritize.

I have a batfamily ao3 collection that I will still occasionally add bookmarks to. It's parent collection includes all sorts of works and will grow as I explore more fandoms.

Most of my time running this blog was spent feeling connected with the community. I thank those who interacted with me. In the words of one very memorable anon: you deserve a coffee to your liking and soft things thrown at you

This blog is SFW. I will not pass judgment on controversial or NSFW fics, but some topics I'm not comfortable reading (Including explicit sexual content, as well as, shipping Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian, and Cass with each other.) I will occasionally recommend fics with DamiJon in the background, but in general, it's a dynamic I'm not enthused by.

I am limiting the suicidal content. I will not take asks centered around suicidal ideation.

I will link the author's Tumblr if I can find it. If I make a mistake, call me out, I will fix it. Same thing with trigger/content warnings. Call me out if I mess up.

So they’d met when he was Speedy. It’s not like that really narrowed it down, Roy had met hundreds, even thousands of people as Speedy, fighting them or saving them or giving interviews and autographs.

“Always happy to meet a fan,” Roy says, trying to dig up a specific memory, but it keeps slipping through his fingers like trying to hold onto an eel.

The man barks a laugh at that, “Ginger Spice was always my favorite,” he allows.

“And who does that make you?” Roy says.

'Jason Todd's terrible, horrible, no-good very bad Week' by slenderboo

“You really are something, Red Hood,” Superman sighed, sitting down in the chair across from Jason. “Look, all we need to know is the names of your associates.”

“Why would I tell you that?” Jason crooked his head to the side, leaning back in the chair casually. He needed a plan, that much was obvious, but what was he trying to achieve?

…what would Tim do in a situation like this?

“If you tell us, we can put in a good word and get your time in Arkham shortened,” Wonder Woman proposed. “How does that sound?”

“Arkham?” Jason breathed, mind blanking. That’s where the Joker- no, he was not going there.

“Don't tell me you're afraid of the place,” Flash zipped around the room, inspecting him from every angle. “You’re really tense right now, so I’ll take that as a yes.”

“Not the place,” Jason grit out, forcing his body to untense as soon as Flash mentioned it. “One of the residents there.”

One of my pet peeves is when people write Alfred as acting somewhat classist to John. Enjoy this wonderful Batstantine fic, in which the author does not character assassinate Alfred.

'(Restricted) Learns to Fly' by Astecea_Rae

“I said,” Alfred doesn’t seem the slightest of irritation of having to repeat himself, “thank you. For what you did for Master Wayne.”

John shrugs.

“Seems it’s a good idea for him to give you that communicator, doesn’t it?” Alfred comments.

John huffs a laugh, empty as it may be; he lifts one shoulder as a shrug to complement it. It’s hard to come up with a non-offensive response when all he wants is to avoid the meaning behind that gesture. As if Bruce giving out a comm outside League business is not that big a deal. John scrunches up his nose; his head is swimming again.

Alfred also does notice that he slurred at the end of that sentence. He smiles but speaks on nonetheless, “still, you saved my boy. Thank you.”

"Batman isn't here, birdy." She teased, then bit her lip. Ok, so maybe she does sound a bit like a rouge. She can hear it, now that Tim pointed it out.

"He will be." Dick claimed, not even a crumb of doubt in his voice. "Batman is going to find me because I trust him, like he trusts me not to break the rules."

Tim snorted, this time. "You're Robin. If you aren't breaking Batman's rules and keeping him on his toes, what are you doing?"

Dick's face twitched, in the way that meant he was rolling his eyes, and he exaggerated the gesture by rolling his head with it. "Those are for his stupid rules that don't make sense. Like trying to bench me for no reason, or telling me not to microwave cereal."

“Robin! Wait, hey,” he pouted, “I wouldn’t say I’m a stalker… Per se.”

Jason’s stomach dropped. “ Oh God ,” he whispered.

He was just a baby. A baby Batman was going to skin alive! He was going to throw him into Arkham! Or maybe just juvie. But either way, he was going to ruin this poor little child’s life! Staring into the stalker’s excited eyes, Jason knew he couldn’t let that happen.

If he’d just happened upon the stalker, who’s to say Batman wouldn’t too?

“You need to come with me. Right now,” Jason told him urgently.

The baby stalker tilted his head, blinking. “I mean, sure. But why?”

“You can't be out here, what if he sees you?” Jason explained, the anxiety creeping up his throat. “You’ve gotta come with me now. If he catches you, he’ll send you away and I’ll never be able to live with myself!”

The kid is subtly inching towards the door. “What?”

It all makes sense now. The hair – and the eyes – Jason should’ve known. “Bruce got another one?” he asks, incredulous. “I can’t believe that asshole. Where’d he find you? You’ve got the fancy accent, so kidnapping you must’ve taken a bit more effort.”

He felt a warm hand on his shoulder. Wonder Woman was smiling at him, "You shouldn't give up, Robin. Batman needs a strong presence beside him."

"But I've run out of options!" he moaned.

"Not at all! You just have to learn to look in other directions."

He doesn't understand.

Was he supposed to look in another city? Lois Lane was single now, and she had experience with superheroes.

He should try with her.

While he was trying to figure it out, Batman arrived. Superman was with him.

Wonder Woman gave him a meaningful look. The look of someone who knew something and was waiting for you to take the hint.

He cuts the boy off. “Look,” he pinches the bridge of his nose. “There are better ways to go about getting money. You could ask for help from a hero or go to the police station so they can bring you to an orphanage, but stealing people’s tires is just—“ he raises his gaze from the kitten back to the boy’s eyes. “Rude. And knocking out a pro-hero like you did is illegal.”

He sees the boy tense, obviously prepared to make a run for it should Shouta try to arrest him.

Despite the fact that Shouta is still offended about his car—or rather, offended that he had to spend money to get his tires replaced—he can’t help but take a half-step back in an attempt to seem less threatening.

The boy ducks his head. “I said I was sorry.”

Shouta sighs. “I know.” He does believe that the kid is sorry for attacking a pro hero. He doesn’t believe that the kid is sorry about stealing his tires. “What’s your name?”

The boy shuffles a little, scuffing his shoe against the ground before muttering, “Jason.”

Jason blinks lethargically a few times, obviously processing, before he slurs out, “S’not my name.”

“Well, sometimes you don’t get to choose your nicknames, Little Red.” John kneels on a once-white bathmat sporting old bloodstains that didn’t come out in the wash. “How long has the eye thing been happening?”

Dick is the one to answer with, “Less than a day. He was sick before that, but we’re not sure for how long. We only found out he was sick at all because he fainted on patrol.”

“D’dn’t faint,” Jason interjects weakly.

"Our first example is to show you that Correlation does not equal Causation." The accidental genius said with a big dumb grin plastered across his big dumb face.

"What. The. Fuck." Stephanie whispered next to Jason. "Please tell me you just whacked me over the head and I'm hallucinating."

"Nope." Jason had to swallow to get the next words out. "Your statistics Prof just accidentally discovered Batman's secret identity."

“Dani, do you like Superman?” He asks. She looks at him, puzzled, but nods slowly, “Okay, I’m gonna need you to be really brave, just like him, right?”

Maria scoffs, “Superman’s not brave .” She cuts in.

Jason raises his eyebrows in surprise. “Yes he is!” Dani whines.

Maria huffs, giving in, maybe just because Dani’s hurt, “ Fine .” She groans, “But you know who’s even more braver?” Dani shakes her head, frowning, “Red Hood.” Maria says, like it’s obvious.

“Red Hood!” Dani squeals excitedly, starting to squirm but stopping with a shriek when she moves her leg.

Tears well up in Jason’s eyes, a warmth cutting through tightness in his chest. “Okay,” He sputters, “You gotta be really brave, just like- just like me, yeah?”

“Dick,” B said, dropping to one knee to look Dick in the eyes. Soon he wouldn’t need to get so low. Dick was growing. “I have to go now. I will be back. I promise.”

Dick nodded. He knew B would. He had doubted before. But every time, B kept his promise and returned. And the waiting was not so bad when Dick was allowed to spend it outside of the frozen coffin.

And B was even more likely to come back now that he had the Little Ones. They were why Robin could not come with Batman on his mission, because Dick needed to stay to look after them. That was what Dick was for now, protecting.

“Did someone dump acid on it?” Constantine asked dryly.

“Not so much, no.” Jason said. “It’s more of an erased from reality thing.”

“Well, as it turns out, this sort of consulting gig is my specialty. Say, if I lend a hand, would you mind giving me a crash course on how you came to have those swords?”

There was a strange intensity that Constantine tried to keep buried as he eyed the All-Blades, but Jason heard it underneath all the same. As a result, his own answering nod felt a bit like shaking hands with the devil.

“Thanks mate.” Constantine said. “This will be fun.”

The wolf gave him an unimpressed look, and then he proceeded to do what he did, holding down the kid he'd found hiding in the alley.

The boy wasn't complaining, but he was watching Batman waiting for him to explain why a wolf had decided he was his cub.

Honestly, Bruce didn't know either.

"Robin…"

His son continued to ignore him, licking a scratch on the kid's forehead that he hadn't noticed before.

"He's not your puppy, Robin. You can't keep him."

The wolf gave him a look as if to say watch me old man , and Bruce felt his headache increase.
