The heart chakra is the center of compassion and love. When you're hurt in life and love, the first impulse is to close your heart. You must release your pain and love again.
Death is only a door. When it closes, another opens. If I care to imagine heaven, I would imagine the door opening.
Our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb we are bound to others. Past and present and by each crime and every kindness we birth our future.
The boundaries between noise and sound are conventions. All boundaries are conventions waiting to be transcended. One may transcend any convention if only one can first conceive of doing so. Separation is an illusion. My life extends far beyond the limitations of me.
To see is to perceive and so to know thyself is only possible through the eyes of the other
Sitting in a tattoo shop I came across a book called Tahiti Tattoos and I am still speechless. The photographer - Gian Paolo Barbieri is truly a master of his art. This is not just a book. It is a journey. A tribute to a tribal tattoo art, a tribute to a male body in its finest form. The photographs are absolutely transforming.
As a tattoo lover, an owner of quite a few tattoos and a woman who surely appreciates a male body I find myself in a dilemma here. I am not sure which one of these passions makes me melt when looking at these fine prints.
Persons often judge me by my appearance and the one question that forms on their lips is "why tattoos?". The answer - well why the hell not? One night during my very long and painful sessions with my tattoo artist, whom I adore for many reasons, he caught me off guard and asked me the same question. Aggravated I actually gave him the most accurate and the finest answer:
I love my tattoos because 1 - I cannot lose them and 2 - they cannot be repossessed. And if either of the two occur I have much bigger problems.
On that note do get your hands on that book and enjoy the journey.
Cheers!
Fall. Definitely here.
