My take on Star Sailor (Aika) from "I Don't Want to Be a Magical Girl"!

I really enjoy indie cartoons (because, let's be honest, they tend to be more creative than most of the big company ones) and I also liked the visual style and themes of Sailor Moon, so seeing this was just right for me. :D (Also a POC magical girl? Sign me up!)

Here comes a short story that actually happened a few months ago.

I've changed my name and had to go to the doctor's for the blood tests to get HRT (just stating that I'm not American so rest in peace, folks).

Thankfully, the nurse was very understanding and trans supportive.

But also heteronormative.

She started with: "So mum (referring to my mom) has four sons now!" That, ngl, made me smile, so I said: "Yeah, it's like that now."

Then, she stated: "That means she's going to have four daughters-in-law, too!" and seemed very excited about it (she probably imagined a lot of grandkids, too).

Girl will be surprised when she discovers I have a boyfriend and I don't want to have kids.

I got mistaken a lot (as a ftm person) by others that I'm on HRT for months, given the look and all, which sometimes led to really interesting encounters, like this one!
