A Poet's Philosophy

Good evening, guest. One way or another you've stumbled across my secret library. In it you'll find a collection of unearthly art, unusual poetry and unfinished thoughts. These feelings aren't mine And yet I channel Every pang of stress The crisp contempt you self-assess

Your darkness spirals in excess Unstable, neck deep in your mess As you obsess, with nought progress I care for you nevertheless

I’m a dimensional sorceress That lives all paths at once, and yes There's parallels where we digress But in this branch I'll meet you fearless, in the light

Godward I reach and acquiesce The quantum pull to coalesce Will once again egress Per mapped process, at the right time

You pull away And I remind myself To let you Have this grace

I thought enough for two Souls, maybe lifetimes I see one hundred Steps ahead

Take time to Mend the broken Let life unfold As written

I know the future Holds good weather For two sweet bunnies Close together

Move me to yield To the warm logic Of your kindness In spite my blindness

I reckon I will Have my fill Without returning Half your yearning

Do not think less If I confess That I suppress Words I express

I’m hoping to negate The weight Of what I’ll say When I can’t stay

Amused, let me Please you to weakness Fan the smoke Where kindling smolders

Resist if able, I’ll still Rein you warmly, unaware There were two villains All along

We worked from Starbucks As hours passed Across the table Left hands clasped

Bad Christmas songs Played as we mused But our headphones Sat unused

Delicate warmth Of skin on skin Your sparkling eyes And boyish grin

The butterflies I felt for bunny Flew in a flurry In my tummy

Few simple joys Pulled on heartstrings And I could melt From these small things

How could I express That which even I Felt merely by the tail Saw only through a veil

The universe reverberated With cosmic micro ripples Quantum currents bleeding Through the folds of time

I could read the timestream Moving fluidly, unrushed Indifferent to my ennui And ride it without fear

I let the higher forces Guide me in this playthrough My third eye sharp and open Intent to clear a perfect run

Strong in my yin I will not push nor overreach As we gently shift To equilibrium

Of course I’m too proud to admit One could just quit And not submit To my dark pulsar pit

Where I could keep your fire lit Or starve it Cruelly with no guilt As deftly as I had it built
