The Dark Feminine mindset is, “I don’t aim to please. I’m the one they want to please.”

Someone once said "there is no love, there are only acts of love." Similarly, real self love cannot be a belief - it must be an act. It cannot be a thought or a mantra that we turn to in times of struggle. That's a coping mechanism, a symptom of lack of self love. Self love cannot come from another. Borrowing their perception is unsustainable and another form of conditioning: Real self love is a state of being that arises, naturally, from living correctly. And that state of being is not sentimental. It's about being rooted in our body, and having the capacity and tendency to look honestly at our self. It's about being unapologetically unique, not given to compromise or excuse, yet also not protecting our self from uncomfortable truths and times when life is asking for change. It's about staying anchored amidst external pressures and conditioning. It's about being you no matter what, comfortable in your own skin, with a preference for your own truth more than anyone else's. It's a need to keep the home of your body clean. To not let unwanted guests in. To be so embodied that you can feel when you've compromised - to feel when a window or door has let in bad weather and needs to be shut. And from that state of being emanates a frequency for others to catch who are ready to live correctly, too. You don't need to want to help anyone, in fact that can often get in the way of helping them at all, you just have to live correctly.
James Alexander
you need to be earnest. you need to tell people that you love them. you need to speak on how you’re feeling honestly. you need to be sentimental. you need to stop letting the fear of other people laughing at you have so much control over how you express yourself. you need to get over yourself. you need to be embarrassing but true.
