So I’m probably going to sound like a huge looser and worst person ever since I am still not fully done with rebuilding my blog buuuut I will be taking a hiatus. I don’t know for how long but if anyone wishes to keep contact or rp, please DM for my discord ID, I will gladly handed over.
Ryota and Ren are roomies in college and work on the same project together. While Ren’s permit to keep working in Ryota’s field expires, he tries to renew, Ryota is left alone with their somewhat important research that catches the attention of the wrong crowd. While Ryota reassures Ren that everything will be alright, their fate has already been written.
While Ren is in the process of renewing his permit to work on Ryota’s project once more, Ryota suddenly tells Ren he is taking a break and not to worry about their project for he kept everything in an external drive that he would take with him to his grandmother’s house in the rural side of Hokkaido.
Ren is obviously worried but trusts nothing will happen since Ryota’s grandmother never used her real surname for anything thus thinking Ryota is safe from being tracked down by those who threaten them of their project. Ren also constantly keeps in contact with Ryota’s oldest sister who works as a professor in his field of study.
Few weeks pass by and Ren has renewed his permit, excited to get back to work with Ryota and to see him once again, he packs his things and makes his way to Hokkaido but by the time he gets there, he notices a large crowd by the river side along with the police. Curious getting the best of him, he approaches the crowd only to witness that it is a crime scene.
When Ren asks for information, he is told by one of the older town’s people that a body was fished out of the river bank by the fishers in earlier hour but it wasn’t till then that the police arrived to examine the scene. Ren becomes sad for the victim but soon is overcome with grief when he noticed a very familiar bracelet on the corpse’s body.
Not wanting to believe what he saw, he ran from the scene and hurried to Ryota’s home where he knocked desperately, only to get no answer and soon have the police arrive to investigate his home for further clues. Ren is questioned but he tells the police everything he can and he is let go after Ryota’s eldest sister arrives to identify the body.
On the day of the funeral, only the elderly of the town, Ryota’s siblings and mother attended. Ren of course didn’t wanted to but wanted to know what happened to Ryota. Upon asking his sister, she tells Ren that the police arrived to the conclusion that it was a suicide and that the body was handed over without anymore further investigation. Ren asks Ryota’s sister if she really thinks it’s true to which she didn’t hesitate and admitted to Ren that Ryota was a very reserved person who suffered of constant depression from their father’s abuse when he was younger and has even ended up in the hospital a few times because of the man, so he had a history of wanting to take his own life, which didn’t surprise her he finally managed it.
Ren, still grieving for Ryota is suddenly called by someone next to him during the memorial speech.
‘I’ve always hated funerals, they really should of at least added colors of my favorite flowers.’ The person said.
Just then when Ren was about to scold the person, his eyes widen and he screamed, to which caught the attention everyone. After apologizing, he hurried out of the room and went to wash up his face, thinking he was probably seeing things but no...that person followed him everywhere.
‘Ryota?! But how?! Aren’t yo---’
‘Dead? Yes. Don’t you see my body up there? Honestly....dressing me in white...poor taste truly.’
Baffled by what he was seeing, Ryota explains that he didn’t die from a suicide but rather was murdered by someone and he suspects it was one of his father’s subordinate. Ren tells that because it all happened too soon, he was only able to remember a tattoo from his killer and tells Ren he needs to take back the hard drive with their research because the killer took it.
Ren, still trying to sink everything in, is told by Ryota that he became a demon and that only Ren was the only one he could see because he chose Ren to be his source of energy. Ryota also says that he didn’t understand why people were afraid of dying when there really isn’t much after life. He also tells Ren that he picked to become a demon because before crossing the gates of paradiso he was asked if he would forgive the one murdered him, to which Ryota said no, flipped off the heavens and willingly went down to infierno where he was welcomed but had to work hard to become a powerful enough demon since time worked differently there.
Ren finally admitting that he didn’t know if he was still dreaming or not, said he wanted to honor his friend and would do anything to protect the most important thing the two had created together and thus begins the journey of Ren and his demonic companion to find the truth and take back what belongs to them....
Notes:
Ryota’s personal doctor was Jakurai Jinguiji who helps out Ren to find clues from Ryota’s body before it’s cremated
Ren joins the supernatural blog where he meets the ‘Mad Joker’, Akira, who also helps him clues about his friends murderer
Ryota only makes his presence known to Ren but doesn’t use him as a source of energy despite what he said. He often prays on others when Ren is asleep.
Shun (Dia) can see Ryota and has told Ren that another calamity awaits the two
Ren is gifted a special blade by Dia, claiming it has partial soul of Belial

Frankly, he was terrified by that sudden change in attitude. He was sadly used to it meaning he’d be hurt, that he had done something wrong to warrant the sudden anger. Though he managed to keep that smile on his face, scared that showing his fear would cause more pain. So many bad habits that he had to try and hide now, stop them from popping up due to all the stress.
‘‘Aha, pretty Anne-chan didn’t scare me~ hugs might help, cause…cause I’m all soft and squishy so it might be calming!’‘
It would give him a chance to hide his face too, allow his mask to slip for a moment. Though he was still terrified, every ounce of anger always followed by pain in some way. It was how he was used to his life being, one of the few constants.
“Hug! Right!! Hugs! Hugs are nice!! They say you need to receive at least eight per day in order to have a healthy mind for the rest of the week!!”
Anne often remembered how one of the other members, Reo, would tell this to Nayuta, Kanata and Shiki. How lucky Reo was to be part of Akanyatsura filled with loving big ‘brothers’ whom they also worked with at club candy but never dared to asked for their affection.
“Come, come senpai!!” Anne said as they gently, pulled in Ramuda into a hug with a light chukle.
Zakuro often seems to be the vixen to appears out of nowhere and cause chaos among those around him. He often looks like a mystery and well he very much is one since no one really knows the truth about him since he claims to have lost his memories, however it may not be completely true since he seems to know one thing.
Ramuda and Zakuro are related. While it’s known that Ramuda was ‘made’, Zakuro was one of those sources that was used to create Ramuda. Zakuro is well aware of the bond the two share and often shows up to tease Ramuda whenever the other is showing signs of the blues.
Zakuro sees Ramuda as his younger brother and although they aren’t so far off in age, Zakuro seems to protect Ramuda when he’s in quite the pinch. Zakuro also seems that by finding out more about Ramuda, he could learn more about himself.
Ramuda also doesn’t seem very fond of him, mostly because the guy tends to show up and annoy him the second he breathes the same air as him, however he has admitted to Zakuro being the little devil one just cannot hate.
