Every time I read or watch something pride and prejudice, I have to be reminded of people's hatred toward Lydia :(. She was my favorite when I first read the book, and now I just feel so bad for her cause she was 15, assaulted, and trapped in a marriage with a terrible man. Even in adaptations that go out of their way to recontextualize other characters like Collins or Wickham (yuck), they portray Lydia as ungrateful and annoying. Like she's a child, and in my opinion, funnier than the rest of that flop family

I'm reading the captive prince trilogy and it's good, but you guys lied about it being TRUE enemies to lovers 💔. They start working towards the same goal in book one...and Damen is just not enough of a hater. He definitely is abused enough that they should be enemies, but he's not putting in the effort
