life imitates art

Last year I decided not to add to this blog anymore as it represented a specific chapter in my life that’s now over. I’ve had friends asking about a new blog so I have started one. I’d like to share it with all my followers here. Check it out if you’re interested and have the time (it’s nothing special but I’m going through a difficult time and I need a space for myself and to gif out my emotions). I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank everyone that’s read my poetry, reblogged and or liked it. I have poems on here with over 30 notes and it still puts a smile on my face everytime I visit this page because I can’t believe anyone would like them in the first place. So thank you!!! 

My new blog doesn’t have any writing on it because I’m thinking of starting a separate blog for that in the future so yeah :)

Ruins

In the back of my mind, thoughts synchronised to beats, soft beats clicking irregular patterns, like the ominous sounds of ticking clocks, in an empty hallway, an empty home, tick-tock, tick-tock. In the back of my mind, the music won’t sleep, notes played as haunting sheets of dripping defeats, a puddle of your tears, painted on my wall, rhythmic brush strokes, stuck inside a sudden fall. In the back of my mind, the film is still rolling, the scenes are forever drawing new beginnings, new endings, imagining a safety, the clocks that never stop, the themes to which we rock, sway from side to side, tick-tock, tick-tock.

Little Things

I’m not entirely sure,  I’ll look through the photos for a cure,  to palliate the pressures on my skin,  escape the approaching shark fin.  Its speed is too great, and I’m afraid of its hate,  for a moment my eyes black out,  perhaps an inner voice will shout. I’m always the fool that waits by the door,  opens second chances,  tiring dances,  should I be worried if I’m not entirely sure?
