Nanowrimo

Anyone want to be Nano accountability partners? Whether you’ve done it before or this is your first time, whatever genre you write. I just know that having people or a team that you’re accountable to and that you are also encouraging them makes Nano easier and more fun!

For those who have never heard of Nano it stands for:

NAtional

NOvel

WRIting

MOnth

The objective is to write a 50,000+ word story (or several short stories, whatever works for you) or novel within the month of November (without editing which makes it go a lot faster than you might think.) It averages out to just 1667 words per day. But you can always write more if you want to skip a day. For instance, if you only want to write during the week Monday to Friday it is 2273 words a day.

You can work on plot lines and character development this month if you are a planner. You can continue WIPs too. I plan to use it as the final push I need to finish Roses are Red, Violets are Adored and finish the optional epilogue.

I promise you no one will shame you or be disappointed if you don’t actually make your word limits because even attempting Nano is huge thing to be proud of and life does sometimes get in the way.

As a seasoned Nano participant,

I have lots of little tips and tricks to share that I will be sharing either on this blog or I might create a nano specific blog.

I really miss River and Kohler. I see them active on their main Tumblr blogs but they don't write anymore. They had such amazing fics and great personalities too! I wish for them to come back to AQ!
