Miguel: Your daddyās lucky youāre such a cutie. I wonāt let you be stuck with him too often.
Cameron: Fine, can you just help me now and stop moralizing?
Cameron: Since youāve got experience with kids, I think you should take point. Youāll do a much better job than me, and I can learn from you!
Miguel: Iām not stupid, you just want me to do your job. I donāt mind helping and showing you how to care for her, but Oliviaās your daughter. Youāve got to step up here.
Miguel: Iām glad youāre feeling confident about this. Itās a big job being a single parent. My mom had a pretty tough time of it, especially with me and my brother. I was a huge pain as a kid!
Cameron: Hey, thatās right, you have siblings. . . .Ā
Miguel: Hey, man, howās your baby? Aw, look at her! Sheās adorable, nothing like your ugly mug.
Cameron: Keep it down, sheās sleeping right now. I think Iām doing okay, sheās been here an hour and I havenāt panicked yet.Ā
Cameron:Ā Hello tiny baby, Iām . . . your dad, I guess. Youāll have to be patient with me, please. I really donāt know anything about babies or children. I still kind of feel like a kid myself. So, I guess Iāll try to keep to happy until your mom comes back. Hopefully you donāt grow up to hate me.
Cameron was uncertain about having to raise a baby girl. He had been an only child and still didnāt feel ready for the responsibility of being more than just a father. More than just a father, he would have to be Oliviaās dad, taking care of her every day, going to every recital or game, loving and protecting her. . . . It was a lot to have to live up to.Ā
Charlotte: Hello, Olivia. Iāve been waiting to meet you for so long . . . and now Iām going to be going away. Iām going to miss you so much. Donāt worry, though, your daddyās going to take good care of you. And Iām coming back home as soon as I can. I love you, sweetheart. Donāt forget me.
Don: Hello, Iām Doctor Lothario. Letās take a look and then weāll get this baby out into the world.
Cameron: Iāll find the room, donāt worry Charlotte!
Charlotte: Cameron, itās this way. Please calm down, you arenāt helping things.
Charlotte: Look, can I please just go into the delivery room now? Iām in a tremendous amount of pain.
Charlotte: Hello, Iād like to check in please. Iām in labor!Ā
Cameron: Iām not ready for this! Okay, stay calm, stay calm!
Charlotte: Be quiet, you arenāt the one who has to push a baby out of your body!
Cameron came to visit Charlotte and found that itās baby time!
Charlotte: You donāt think I already know that? Miguel, please just . . . just let me be the one to tell him, okay?
Miguel: Sure. Just donāt wait too long, okay? Heāll need some time to prepare.
Charlotte: Yeah, a little baby girl. But, could you please not tell Cameron the babyās a girl? I donāt think heāll be thrilled about raising a daughter instead of a son, and things are tense enough right now.
Miguel: You canāt keep this from him, he has a right to know. And heās going to find out very soon, anyways.
