   garth can appreciate an aesthetic, can appreciate how incredibly fine a man can look in very little. the attitude and atmosphere of the event just emboldened garth as he approached the man who was seemingly by himself looking like what roy had once told garth was a “ whole damn meal. “

     garth smiled, coming forward to stand across from the younger kid. it was a bit odd to see robin in anything but a professional capacity- even harder considering that garth had seen three different kids wear the same title as damian. one of them being his closest friend. “ hey, aren’t you suppose to have at least three other small menaces lurking around nearby? “

   garth caught sight of his best friend, weaving through the crowd until he was next to the other man. “ hey, is it weird that a few people gave me their phone numbers? “ he asks, swinging an arm around roy and leaning against him. “ i didn’t really catch names but it was this really tall guy and another girl. i think they have been married? they both had rings and were holding hands. “

   to say that garth was having a good time would be an understatement, the man was having the absolutely most incredible day ever at the festival. at some point one of his teammates had gave him streaks of blue, purple, & pink along his cheeks. his hair was pulled up into a messy bun and he had exchanged out his atlantean clothing for more casual attire that fit the weather and displayed his tattoos. 

   laughing, garth happened upon dick and grinned widely. “grayson !! i didn’t realize you were here as well, i came with karen but she disappeared off somewhere. this is so amazing ! “

   wally’s not crying a little, you’re crying a little.  and it’s happy tears anyways.  you know, you get around a few happy gay people and the waterworks start.  it’s just a beautiful place, a beautiful time, a beautiful concept.  and wally’s got a tender heart, alright ??  no matter how chill he likes to act.  “ have you ever seen so many gorgeous people in one place ?? ” truly, it’s bizarre.  wally doesn’t think he’s seen someone less than a nine the entire time he’s been here.

     garth smiles fondly, resting a hand on wally’s shoulder for a moment and giving it a squeeze. “ the tower usually contains a handful of beautiful people at any given moment, “ he says with a laugh. the atlantean looks around the event, taking in how incredible it is to see so many terrans all laughing together and celebrating the concept of love.

 — ( AVAN JOGIA, HE/HIM & CISMALE, DC ) ┊ did you hear about TEMPEST? i heard that they also go by GARTH and are aged 27. they weren’t turned into dust at all, so they’re still in tact - according to the press, anyways. think the papers are right?

as an infant, garth was abandoned due to atlantean superstition & left for dead till he was rescued by a soceror who raised him & taught him how to survive and thrive. 

as a teen, garth met aquaman and idolized him- they bonded over being outcasts who felt the the need to protect & prove themselves to the very people who shunned them. 

garth became the first aqualad, following and learning from arthur & seeing the man as both a mentor and father. 

as aqualad, garth was one of the og teen titan members & quickly grew attached to the team, letting them easily fill the places of the family he never had. 

however, garth eventually outgrew the title of aqualad and moved on to become TEMPEST. a kick ass superhero who still idolized aquaman but realized he was a bit too grown up to be following him around like a puppy

as tempest, garth met & fell for a beautiful woman named dolphin- he loved her in the way you do your first love- recklessly & all too quickly. 

dolphin eventually got pregnant & after a minor freakout, garth married her, & they had a beautiful son together named cerdian. 

garth loved cerdian, would’ve pulled the sun out of the sky if the infant had wanted. However, tragedy struck. 

during a siege on atlantis, dolphin and cerdian were both killed before garth could come to their rescue. 

now onto some current tl stuff 

it’s been two years since cerdian & dolphin passed away 

garth is currently still working with the titans- the adult versions not the teens & is keeping an eye on the current aqualad & aquagirl 

trying to keep atlantis together without arthur around
