After Karkat had been led into the living room and left seated comfortably, Vriska made another hasty retreat, this time into the kitchen. Muffled noises of plates moving around could be heard and it wasn’t long before Vriska returned with a fresh plate of double fudge cookies, warmth still wafting gently from them. She lowered the plate first to Karkat, inviting him to take one. (Alternatively breaking off a piece if he’s too small.)
Had to admit, the scent was alluring enough for even him, eagerly taking one in his hands and biting into it vigorously. If this was his first ever interaction with Vriska then things were going to go pretty well, he figured. Glancing over at Kanaya, Karkat gave another weak-willed wave, sort of as a pitiable apology for the nonsense earlier generated from him simply making a series of posts.
