aressa kid
As with the Seblina kid, this comes w so many potentials, but I’m saying that, in this verse, Ressa escaped Aram while still pregnant. However, Aram def wasn’t about to just cool his heels while his kid lived on the run - so he pursued them across the universe. Jaren has probs met his dad and been declared his heir, etc, at least once, but he’s mostly grown up w his mom and aunts. He’s been raised more by Dex than by Aram, when it comes right down to it tbqh.
Name: Jaren Quasar IX Whatever-we-named-King-Harand-probs
Gender: Male
General Appearance: Lithe and intelligent-looking w soulful eyes - this poor kid has seen way too much!
Personality: Thoughtful and earnest!! Jaren just wants to make the world a better place, esp knowing that its his own Quasar relations who have spread this sorrow and desperation over the galaxy. He probs bears some feelings of guilt about that!! and 100% wants to put things to rights!! He’s super giving and kind and sharp as a tack!! Being a Quasar, he ~does have a bit of a temper when pushed to it, but being a Harand, as well, he’s full of compassion and always tries to make up for his wrongs!! He’s a literal genius!!
Special Talents: Having grown up around so many languages, he has a gift for them and can crack codes quicker than you can make them up! ;D He is also a bit of a math whizz which he mostly uses for navigational and speed calculations in flying!!
Who they like better: Ressa, hands down!! He actively hates his dad and House Quasar!!
Who they take after more: Also Ressa!!!
Personal Head canon: He doesn’t want to be the Emperor or a Quasar and loves Vaane most of all!! But he also knows that these things aren’t up to him :/

Lost | Aram & Leck
Leck had destroyed it all: the only thing in Xia’s room that had been safe from his tirade had been the relics from the ancestors which remained safely untouched upon their alter.
When he had received word that she could not be found anywhere, he punished the guards for their incompetence. Where could she have gone when it was their only task to keep her under their watchful eye at all times? How could they have lost her? When every inch of the palace and then the entire city had been searched twice over, and no trace of his betrothed had been found, Leck’s rage could not be contained.
The guards were all dead now. They could have no further place in this world after so great an error. They’d all suffered for it. Leck had regretted killing them as quickly as he had (they did not deserve the sweet release of death!) but he had been brutal and once he had started, he could not stop.
“Your Highness, the Emperor seeks an audience … “
Leck turned, slowly to face his brother. His eyes, which moments ago had been filled with rage, did soften at the sight of Aram, but blood was dripping from his hands and mouth.
He bowed low as Aram entered, “Brother,” He whispered, his voice quiet, calm, respectful - three things he normally was not.
The calm that had washed over him by his brother’s presence was only a temporary one. He looked around the room, shaking his head in disbelief. “WHO COULD HAVE DONE THIS?” He screamed. “They will spend the rest of their days screaming, wishing they were dead.” He vowed. It had not occurred to him that Xia wanted to leave or that her escape, although she had had aid, had been her own doing.
“They are all dead,” He said, speaking of the guards who were supposed to keep Xia safe. “They died screaming. The captain I made watch, and in the end, I ate him alive.”
Aram hardly heard his brother. The drums of war were calling and he cared nothing for the fate of the guards. All he could think was that his Empress was gone. Striding past Leck, Aram went to their father’s massive obsidian throne and sat himself upon it. He felt better from this height, the imperial might of his House solidly supporting him; felt as though from here he could witness the Empire entire. If he but stretched out a hand, his Empire would burn. And perhaps it would, after all this time, perhaps that was what Velorum Nocate deserved after all House Quasar had striven so very hard to give it - only to be met with dishonest disloyalty.
“The Empress is missing as well,” said Aram. His voice was the absolute calm of ice, so cold it burned. “It seems her guards were remotely locked in another room and by the time the doors opened, the Empress had vanished, as had Xia at the same time. Do you know what this means, brother? Someone has reached their fingers into my palace; someone has reached into my very palace and snatched away my wife and son!”
The ice chipped and cracked. He’d tried hard, so very hard, to maintain peace. He’d nurtured loyalty and punished its lack. He’d been generous and even allowed the other planets to keep their pathetic leaders. What had been the point? He had only eroded their respect for his House. “Our father was right.” Aram’s fist clenched as he bit out the words. “I have tolerated enough.”
Aram stood. “These traitors have stolen away the future of House Quasar and made a play for Reva and Vaane, to boot. I have been a fool, Leck, a fool to offer the olive branch to those undeserving. I thought that I must foster peace to achieve prosperity. Now I see my failure. I swear to you, my brother, if a hair upon Xia or Caressa’s heads have been hurt, I shall unleash my fury upon all Velorum Nocate such as never has been known.
“Summon Valance and the Zeltrons. Summon the Cains. Summons the Harands and the Tomaks. Hell, summon Dorn Legasi! Summon anyone and everyone who may have had a hand in this blasphemy and everyone and anyone who may be of help in putting it to rights. I shall know who has assaulted me from within my own home and I shall peel the flesh from their bones. Let the Empire tremble! I shall turn away no longer!”
The Arringons, the Valerians, the Tarks. Soon they will all quake in the shadow of the Quasars.

Gods & Monsters | Aram + Leck
leckquasar
He had been too rash, too confident in his feelings regarding the Tark boy, but his brother had shown him his error. “I will not,” He said, “Forgive me, brother, for assuming his fate.” Much could happen in two years, perhaps, despite everything, Orion Tark would prove to be loyal to them. There was a force inside him, now, that Leck had seen. He did not understand them, but perhaps, with time, he would. Not everyone could see, especially when the Valerian’s had clouded their minds. And Orion Tark had Valerian blood in his veins. It would not be easy for him. The Ancestors would decide his fate, but until then, Leck would remember not to make such assumptions.
But Aram was right in that. Loyal or no, there were rebels who would see him on the throne and he would pose a dangerous threat to their house. “Whatever happens with the boy,” Leck began, “House Quasar will prevail. We will finish what they started.” He gazed upwards at the statues which loomed far overhead. Their father had taken the throne and his brother would secure it. There were still threats to their House and position, Leck knew, but in time, they would be able to create a new empire: one that had no memory or loyalties to House Valerian.
If Leck had been Emperor, Orion Tark and his sisters would all be dead. Even Adria Tark, who had proven herself, was a risk to them alive. But if she truly was their loyal subject, she would see this, too, and accept her fate. Leck would have seen her killed without pain, for her loyalty, but she wouldn’t have been allowed to live, either. Aram had chosen to let her live, however, and Leck knew that his brother, ever wiser and stronger with the will of the Ancestors than he could ever be, had made his choice and Leck would not question it.
Leck nodded. “Maris Savik has done much. I admire her creativity and passion for her work. She should rest easy. If her daughter takes after her, the ancestors will find a way to spare her.” He may have supported Rora for these same reasons, but the truth was that he liked to support the candidate he thought would create the most destruction: the one he most cared to watch. He saw in Nial Rook a strong desire to survive.
“I swear I shall,” Leck said, feverently when Aram told him to be gentle with his future wife. And truly, in that moment, he meant it. But gentle was a relative term and Leck Quasar didn’t fully understand its meaning, nor did he know what it was to truly love or care for anyone other than himself. To him, Xia was a precious thing he owned, but not a living, breathing thing. He had many expectations for his wife and his marriage and none of them were realistic. Unfortunately for both Xia and his future children, Leck is far from gentle when he is displeased.
“Nor does Xia,” He agreed, “Not truly.” She had proven herself more willing to learn about House Quasar than Caressa Harand ever had. She seemed happy to please him, but he knew that she did not – and could not – see the glory of their house for what it truly was. It would take time and Leck thought himself a patient man. “When we are married, when she carries my son, she too, will see.” He agreed.
Leck’s plans for Reva were more about tearing it down than trying to restore it. The cures he took with him would be for his family and household, but he had never thought of distributing them amongst the populace. Reva was too infested with the seedy underworld of the scattered rebellion to risk it. Still, once he had whipped most of them out, then, perhaps, he would give freely to his loyal people. Under the Valerians they died, but under the Quasars, they lived. His brother was wise, indeed. He never would have considered this.
When Aram spoke about Caressa Harand’s wish to have their child born upon her home planet, a rage built up inside Leck. “How DARE she defy you in this manner! You are her husband, her king, her god! She feels she would be safer on that ancient, savage planet than here?” His voice shook and there was a fire in his eyes, but he remembered his place then and as quickly as the storm had come, it passed. “Forgive me, brother,” He said, hoarsely, softly, bowing his head to his brother. “She is your wife, my sister, and the mother of gods … as you say, she has yet to understand. In time … things will be better.”
It seemed to him that Caressa was resisting her new life as a Quasar at every turn, while Xia seemed to want to embrace it. He wished he was as confident in her as Aram appeared to be. He must trust, he must have faith. The Ancestors would guide them all …
He stopped in front of the likeness of their mother. She stood tall and proud next to their father. “I wish I could have known her … “ I wish I had not killed her. “If I had, I would better understand Caressa,” He added.
He nodded. He had learned from that attack on Aram and Caressa that had taken their child. He would not let the same happen again: to either of their families. Such an example had been made that he doubted anyone in all of Velorum Nocate should even dare to think of making another assassination attempt again, but they were fools, all of them, and Leck would never let down his guard. “What happened to your first son, will not happen to the second,” He promised, resting a hand upon Aram’s shoulder, “By the grace and protection of the ancestors, may your son live a long a healthy life.”
"There is nothing to forgive, my brother,” responded Aram Quasar, softly. He smiled fondly at Leck: so eager to learn, and prayed this was a good sign for the fate of Reva. Aram dearly loved his brother - his blood, his family - but he was not blind to his...extremes. Such extremes had been necessary during the Valerian occupation of Velorum Nocate, but now that it was in Quasar hands where it belonged, surely such measures were no longer necessary...or wise. An act of aggression must be asserted against vicious usurpers, but never against loyal subjects. Aram feared that Leck failed to grasp this important concept but did not know how properly to articulate it. He wondered if his father would even have tried...
“We must all pray the Ancestors will grant us the surest route, but should they wish to test us, instead, we will rise to the occasion and we will prove their faith in us well-placed. In so doing, we shall earn our place at their eternal side. We shall never die.” As Leck swore that they would finish what the Ancestors started, Aram clasped his fist to his breast in faithful agreement. Leck had the right of it, there, and no one could gainsay it. The Ancestors had already proven their might to the entire galaxy. “Just so we will put down the rebels who would see the doom of our great Ancestors. They shall feel the wrath of eternal damnation soon enough and we shall give all to the glory of our forebearers.”
He exhaled. “First we must route them out.” This was another advantage of Leck’s appointment to Reva: everyone knew it was the most frequent harbor of traitors. Aram had no doubts Leck would root them out and make them to suffer for their infidelities to the Ancestors. “When you are on Reva, I would know of the headway you make. I know there is none more capable than are you, my brother, in this. The Ancestors will guide you,” he added, placing a hand on his brother’s shoulder. “We are their sacred envoys on earth.”
Aram nodded thoughtfully. “It is my prayer, brother, that the Ancestors will look into her soul and deem her worthy and spare her. I pray for this outcome. But the Ancestors rarely look with pity upon those whose blood is tainted.” It had been so with all whose families had transgressed, saved Jaeme Wes, afterall. His father had often remarked that there was much sense in this: if the ancestors of such rebels worked their ill through those they’d left behind, surely the descendants too would turn traitorous.
For this reason, it was shocking to the Quasars that someone of Valerian DNA, such as Adria Tark, might turn out to be loyal. But, it seemed, her Tarkish ancestry had proven more powerful, in her case, than her Valerian blood. Still, they remained wary. A trusting man, Jaren had often said, was a dead man already. “If the girl dies, we must view it as a challenge issued. We must rise to these challenges, or crumble beneath them. Never must we shame the Ancestors,” Aram intoned, bowing his head. “I do not know what I shall do...” he trailed off and shook himself. “The Ancestors will guide me.”
Leck’s fervor was inspiring and Aram breathed out a sigh of relief. “Glad you will be that you have so acquitted yourself, my brother. The Ancestors will reward you for your stalwart faith. Your wife must be treated with all care for one day she will reign beside you as an Ancestress when it is to us that our descendants pray.” As Leck spoke of Xia carrying his future child, Aram reverently replied: “May the Ancestors grant you many strong sons.” He continued: “I think it prudent that, before your wedding, Xia come to Arvor for a few evenings. We must acquaint her with our ways more thoroughly so that she may come, prepared, to understand. Perhaps, together, our wives shall come to embrace the truth.”
Aram listened calmly to his brother’s outburst. All their lives, such responses had been common and, while many others may well have been shocked and afraid, Aram was - far from appalled - heartened that his brother reacted so. In a sense, it made him feel that his own concerns had not been out of line, as he had begun to fear. Though he felt he could understand Caressa’s misgivings, Leck’s reaction restored Aram’s self-confidence. Still, he did not enjoy the prospect of his brother feuding by any degrees with his wife. It would not do to have too much rancor within his own House.
“Peace, brother,” responded Aram, calmly. He touched his brother’s face fondly. “I will see all put to rights,” he assured him, dropping his hand as he gazed up at the towering countenance of Urren the Terrible. Though unacknowledged in their time, all of these people had been Emperors in their own right, just as Aram now was, and he took comfort in the notion of so many peers to guide him. “All is already forgiven,” he replied. “It heartens me to see your loyalty displayed here amongst our Ancestors, though perhaps it may be more carefully stated elsewhere,” he added with an wry smile, born more of affection than anything, as close as any Quasar had ever come to a quirk of humor.
Returning more directly to the subject at hand, Aram nodded absently. “It is simply that she fears for the child, as all mothers must. I believe it is a yearning, deep within her, to feel the embrace of her own Ancestors. All men, father said, crave the connection, though without proper education they do not always know what it is they seek. Caressa was not brought up with a proper understanding and thus she must seek the familiar security of her planet, never knowing it is indeed a higher power to which she should apply, as our Ancestors now shall guide her. She will come to understand,” he added. It was a prayer, more than a certainty.
Following his brother’s gaze, Aram turned his eyes upon the countenance of her mother. “She loved you,” replied Aram. “As dearly as ever she loved anything in this galaxy. She yearned, too, to know you. And she does, as you shall, when you are returned to the care of the Ancestors. We will all be united in them when our sons rise up to take our place in this plane.”
Slowly, he nodded. He agreed. Leck would understand more, had he known her. Often, Aram had thought Leck cheated by her early demise. They all had been. “I will not question the wisdom of the Ancestors in recalling her to them, but I do fully believe your path would have been more clear, had she lived. Yet, if the Ancestors wish to test you, they shall, and you will be stronger for it. We can only thank them for their mercy in not taking father at that time, as well. We might not be here today, were it otherwise, as they well know.” He paused. “Is there anything, brother, you wonder about her? Though not long, I did know her...”
As Leck invoked the protection of the Ancestors, Aram again clutched his fist to his heart in prayerful agreement. “May the Ancestors guide us all,” he replied fervently. It was guidance Aram most needed, now. As a youth, his path had always seemed clear, but of late that surety had dried up. The road upon which he toiled was clouded now and filled with snares. Aram refused to be the Emperor under whom House Quasar collapsed, but what was he to the will of the Ancestors? Still, he knew the truth. They had come too far to stumble now.
“Guide us, Ancestors, as our sons, in time, will pray us to guide them.” But, though he would never say it, it had been many years, now, since the Ancestors had answered a prayer of his. So Aram planned and he plotted and he drew on a faith that had all but deserted him when he felt he had no more strength left. For Leck, as much as for himself, he said: “We will finish what they started.”
Young Gods | Aressa
caressaharand
His words were of little comfort. Did he expect her to so easily believe him? She knew him well enough to know that as long as she carried his child, he had meant what he said, but what after? It was House Harand that had tempted the Valerians to stray from their agreement with the Quasars a hundred years ago: the Quasars had not forgiven the Valerians for ancestor’s slight and she was not so naive as to think that the Sack of Vaane was punishment enough for her and her’s.
Truthfully, she had been surprised that he’d allowed her to carry his child, at all. She’d expected to die on their wedding night and she’d feared that her sisters’ fate would be the same if they’d been in attendance. She didn’t know why he’d allowed her to live this long, but then again, she’d never been able to understand him or any of his house.
The Quasars were only ever understood by themselves.
When he spoke of why their son should be born upon Arvor she knew there was nothing she could say that would change his mind. He was right, in all of his reasonings: the future king of Arvor and Emperor of Velorum Nocate should be born there. Had be been any other man, she never would have questioned this: but he was a Quasar and his promises to keep her safe, too, meant nothing.
Caressa did not fear death: part of her would welcome it. But she feared leaving her son to him and she feared what her sister would do when that happened and she feared what would happen to Vaane. She feared what would happen to Velorum Nocate. There was some hope still left for revolution, but one false move and it would be snuffed out.
This much she knew: Aram would never agree. She had pleaded and so had Arantha, but tradition would not allow for him to hear them. If nothing they could say or do would change his mind, then they must relent. If he wished to have her killed: then he would see it done. Even if she gave birth on Vaane, she’d have to return to Arvor as soon as she was strong enough and Vaane would not have the strength to resist him.
She knew Arantha would never stop fighting for her. She would do the same, were their positions reversed. But for Vaane, for Mira, she must stop. And if the worst should happen, she must promise not to be rash. She must wait until Vaane is strong enough to have a chance.
She was quiet for a long moment after Aram spoke, her thoughts far away from him. She knew she must concede. Live to die another day.
“Vaane feels safer, somehow but – “ it’s home. But she did not say it, and her voice trailed and she said no more. “– it isn’t.” In terms of assassination attempts, it wasn’t. What had happened here, could have easily have happened anywhere in Velorum Nocate. The Empire has enemies everywhere. Nowhere is safe. In that, at least, she took a strange sort of comfort.
“You are right,” She said, softly. The words hadn’t wanted to come at all. She let him take her hands; she did not pull away. “His place is here, as is mine.”
There was a battle in her. Aram was not so blind as to ignore it entirely, yet he feared no words of his could assuage these feelings. There was a part of her heart, a piece of her mind, forever closed off to him. Aram did not like to accept this, but he could not deny it. He prayed that in time this might change, but he knew - were their situations reversed - he could not so easily forgive the family who had seen his own cast down.
“Perhaps-” Aram glanced away, sweeping a swift gaze over the dotted lights of Arvor. “Perhaps other arrangements could still be made to make you more comfortable. This palace should be the birth place of the next Emperor - the Hall of the Ancestors should be the spot - but I know that is not where you are comfortable. Perhaps your own palace on Arvor might be a better place. I could have more plants and other items brought in from Vaane to make whichever chamber - or all of them - there you might choose more suitable to your sensibilities. Your sisters could all be with you, your Vaanish friends, whomsoever you might like...There are more guards I could put around you to keep you safe...I am certain we can reach an arrangement, Caressa, that will suit us all.”
Aram did not realize that, to her ears, any part of this suggestion might sound like an assassination attempt. His true aim was a compromise. He imagined facing down something so momentous as a birth had to be trying under the best of circumstances and these, he well knew, were hardly the best of circumstances.
“I’m certain it would set your sisters’ weary minds at ease to be with you, wherever the birth might take place. If you like, I will invite them first thing tomorrow. And they need see but little of me, if they so wish. There are rooms enough to accommodate an empress, a queen, and a princess there, I am sure, for however long you might wish them with you. There is nothing so urgent on Vaane that it cannot be administered to from Arvor.”
There was a pregnant pause between her words as she spoke of Vaane. It seemed to cloy in the air between them and then there was that familiar flicker in her face, perhaps some longing, something left unsaid. Aram felt a grateful swell, at times like these, that she forbore. He knew that creeping assurance that it would have been something he did not like.
It was not conviction in her tone when she accepted his terms, however, but resignation. He would make it up to her, now. He had his chance, by her own admission, to prove to her now how things could be different. This time, he would take every precaution: he would not fail her or their child.
Drawing close to her, Aram Quasar took her face in his hands. Her cheeks were soft, her throat tender under his calloused hands. Caressa’s face tilted up towards him, and the heat of the torches cast its warm glow across her luminous face. He longed to bend and kiss her, his lips to hers. His wife was beautiful and warm and so close within his reach he could almost call her his own. Her blue eyes, tinged with green, were fixed on his, her hair soft curls that brushed his fingertips. He could steal her kiss now, he knew. But she was free: she had never belonged to anyone, and never less so to anyone than to him. Aram touched his lips briefly to her brow and released her. He turned back to his city and rested his hands on the balcony’s rails. Caressa would never want him.
“Our son will never be safer anywhere than he is here,” he promised. His voice had gone low and soft in the quiet as he scanned the river that looped across the horizon. “And neither will you be, my Empress.” He turned grey eyes back on her once again. “I swear it.”
I keep wracking my brain to try and figure out what I did wrong. I was smart; I was funny. I made great small talk with the waitress so she could see I could relate to the commoners, you know, I’m a man of the people.

“Ancestors, I ask you for your guidance. Blessed mother, come to me with the gods’ desire for my future. Blessed father, watch over my wife and son with a ready sword. Whisper to them that I live only to hold them again, for all else is dust and air. Ancestors, I honor you and will try to live with the dignity that you have taught me.”

BUT ACTUAL DIALOGUE.
Also, I feel like they probably didn’t really interact that much BUT that talking to a Quasar was probably an actual dare that the royal kids had hahah. (And Leck was probably the especially hard one tbh). So like if she ever talked to him for an extended period, you know that it was on a dare?? (And probably secretly recorded it half the time so they could all laugh about it later smh AND I LAUGH b/c it’s even funnier b/c the Quasars don’t’ really have a sense of humor especially when it comes to making fun of themselves/the ancestors … but Aram got the last laugh b/c he and his family literally murdered all of them except Avaena like …)
ARAM GOT THE LAST LAUGH I CHOKED Now I’m just picturing the Fall of House Valerian like: *dramatically at the smoking ashes of her family* “who has useless Ancestors nOW” ~aram probably
No but THE DARES so real I CReY BC probs the first convo he ever had w Ressa was on a date too #facepalm BUT ANYWAYYYY the Quasar's having no sense of humor about House Quasar is actually one of my fav things #bless CAN YOU IMAGINE THOSE CONVOS also if Aram knew she were alive he'd def keep it quiet while also dispatching an army of robot assassins to mirder her so this relationship is all fun and games clearly

DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A GOOD ONE, JUST THE RIGHT ONE!!!!! ~this is why the quasars have no friends. ;DDD but no, i def think that these two have met!! i think that torul probs brings kol w/ him to the summits also, i was thinking that the quasars may also visit all the planets now and again??? idk if it’s a yearly thing or just whenever they feel they should but obvi kol is pretty high up in byssya and if aram ever came there, they’d def interaction some. but anyway, obviously kol isn’t a fan of aram at all (actually plotting to take you and your family down, bro!!! but on the flip side, i am actually trying to save the life of your unborn son, so ??? there’s that??). okay but despite that, he def tries to be cordial altho he’s not afraid to have a difference of opinion on some things (just not sensitive subjects like ancestors b/c he does wanna keep his head and extremities)
HONESTLY THOUGH @house quasar always: CALM DOWN!!!!!11!!!!1!
Oh, yeah, that’s a terrific point!!!!! Honestly, Kol is 90% of Tor’s impulse control and probs prevents him from being like “UR ANCESTORS ARE FALSE GODS AND ALSO DEAD AND QUASAR HISTORY IS A LIE AND I WISH YOUD BOTH DIE SPITTING BLOOD” sooooooo it’s probs a good idea to have Kol around ;DDDD since Kol reminds Tor he’s here as a king and not just a private citizen who can say things and diE wo it impacting an entire planet ++ I mean, Kol is his advisor and it’s just a great all round idea to have him around on a lot of levels basically hahaha
Also that makes a ton of sense to go on Galactic Progress and check things out and make sure things are running smoothly (and on the dl that there are no revolutions erupting etc) and just sort of be in the know about his Empire. I can absolutely see this and I cry bc I can see where if that was also a Valerian tradition, Aram’s like “that’s a great idea bc I can whip my empire into shape” but the Valerians were like “that way we can go around and make sure everyone is doing well!!!” a la the Harandic Progresses BUT ANYWAY, I feel like it probs is a yearly thing ++ they’ll additionally do it when needed? And I feel like he brings Ressa bc she’s his Empress, but Leck stays on Arvor, just to be sure the Quasars aren’t all in the same spot and therefore easy to wipe out
(IM CRYIN honestly Aram would objectively be so???? confused???? about that???? Like, finish the job??? You plan to take someone out, TAKE THEM ALL OUT?????? Like, no Quasar in all of Quasar History has ever shown mercy aka weakness to anyone ;DDDD Which is why, even though Kol’s standing up for Aram’s kid, if Aram knew anything about it, he’d KILL THEM ALL *fire and skull emojis*)
KEEP HIS HEAD AND EXTREMITIES honestly it’s a good plan bc Quasars a tad jumpy when it comes to defending their Ancestors smdh I actually think, though, that Aram respects him more for stating his opinion frankly but also not getting all emotional and worked up and upSEt about it like Aram???? emotions????? He doesn’t know how to deal. But he does respect honesty and like he might disagree, but it’s refreshing to know where Kol stands, yknow?

yeah so I do think that ulek buys into everything that the quasars are selling (thanks dad!!) and while he’s not as big of a fanboy as jareth is (is that possible tho? ;DDD) he is a quasar supporter all the way and doesn’t stop to question them either???
in other news, ulek is pretty excited for the day when they’ll be bros/both married to harand girls #facepalm
aram to jareth: your son is v pious- jareth: something he gets from his father aram: ...but he has much to learn jareth: something he gets from his mother aram: i thought she was dead. what happened there? jareth: ...anyyyyway
Jk, jk but saying the Ancestors wish it!!!! Aram’s like ‘this kid gets it’ and also on the dl ‘maybe we should have a nice family dinner w ressa and also a bunch of believers so she can see the light!!!’ I’m sure that’d work like a charm!
HARAND BROS UNITE *high five* Btw do you think he knows about Ulek’s intentions towards Mira? Bc if so, Aram would probs put in a good word. Which Arantha will obv love ;DDDD ‘oh good aram approves what’re we waiting for’ ~arantha probably but Mira may respond better to hahah
I feel like, esp bc Ulek was named for the glory of House Quasar, Aram probs does regard him in a special light???? Like, he does loathe Jareth (Jareth continues to unwittingly shoot himself in the foot) but House Tark has demonstrated its loyalty again and again so like Aram probs does look out for Ulek’s interest in his own way????? (Friendly reminder that other ppl whose interest he protects include Ressa, their dead child, their unborn child who might get poisoned by allies, Leck, Xia…v, v happy ppl, all ;DDD) and while he does nOT intend to wed his daughter to Jareth, I can see where if there’s an extra Quasar girl from either himself or Leck and like they don’t know???? what to do???? w the girl????? (and the whole Mira thing has in some way yknow worked out or whatever idk unless the Quasars are bigamists????) he’d be like “hey what about good ol’ Ulek!” But lol that’s rattling around in the back of his mind but probs will never matter bc likE I’d let Aram live that long amirite ;DDDD
But my point is that he has Aram’s attention which…who wouldn’t want that???? And he’s interested in potentially doing something for Ulek in the future bc their family is loyal and bc the kid generation (like Adria and Ulek anyway) seem more genuine in their zeal than does their gross father/uncle (cue aram heaving a sigh tbqh) and Aram likes to encourage that hahah
