⟨ 藤 — “ I see! “ a hum and a nod, indeed, Marzanna agreed with how it indeed was a shame - the fact that not many got to study more than two or three religions and cultures. Usually, being kind of antique, the Slavic and in general Eastern culture, specifically the Balcanic region, was always put in the corner… Though she couldn’t do much about it, it was still allaround a shame. “ Well, it’s good you’re informed. It’s… it’s nice to know, yes! “
“ And, um… as to why I do what I do… because I FEEL LIKE IT, to put it bluntly~ “ she giggled, simply shrugging her shoulders as she shook her head softly. After all, that was the rather simplistic reason as to why she always pursued her dream of ‘meeting everyone in the world, from every century, in every era’. Marzanna loved meeting people and creating bonds with them: she liked the evolution that two humans that have absolutely nothing to do with eachother have after they speak after a minute or so. “ Nothing special, really! How abouy you, miss Ryoko? What do you do in life, hm? “ ⟩
( 亮子) Because she felt like it, hm? Ryoko couldn’t say she didn’t understand the feeling, albeit her own reasons for picking a job where she got to travel a lot were a bit different. Staying in one place for too long bothered her--the stagnation, the suffocation. New places, she felt as though she could breathe better, like she was more free to relax and not keep up her guard, even though she didn’t let it down either; on the other hand, she could hardly stand being home for a day or two at a time.
“Me? I’m a merchant. I sell things, mostly weapons, and the market I work at moves from place to place each month.” It didn’t quite sound as impressive to her as travelling just for the hell of it, but hey, they probably shared similar experiences because of it, for they surely both met many people of many different cultures. It wouldn’t be as fun to be around the same people all the time; even if Ryoko’s group of coworkers rarely changed, the customers made the difference. “I could show you if you like.”
( painter. ):
he was surprised that someone found his work enchanting enough that they would actually pay the unreasonable full price for it, especially after they had been given the more affordable and much more appreciated option. was his work that good? ah, he gave a visible shake of his head to dispel that thought and refocus himself on the situation at hand. he can give himself some sort of pat on the back later. ❝ shipping ? hm… yeah i’m pretty sure it can be shipped. we have these really neat boxes that we ship it in and, ❞ a glance is given to the canvas, ❝ and i’m pretty sure that fits in one - well, where to? ❞
( 亮子 ) “Japan.” Overseas. Halfway across the world. Any of those worked fine. It wasn’t as though Ryoko had never been given the task of shipping her merchandise so far away, but not everyone was as ready and willing as she was to do such a thing; she didn’t find the process as troublesome as others may have, those more prone to being scatterbrained especially. “If it’s too far, then I could take it home now and find a different company to transport it, but I figured I’d ask just for convenience sake, you know?”
‘and i can say the words until i’ve said all i can say but without you i’m a fraction of who i’m supposed to be.’

|| 雪 || :: it wouldn’t be the first time she was being assaulted like that, nor the ninetailed ever let herself believe it would be the last either. trembles traveled through her form as fingers curled tighter to the fabric of the male’s shirt. heart was racing, thumping loudly inside her ribcage and eyes darted to the side at his inquiry of concern. the fleeting caress over her cheek caused a hint of rose to dust upon the surface, and a shake of head came gently.
“ i’m okay… ” not wanting to cause him any more worry than she already did, the vulpine took a deep breath, steadying her own composure to drive the fright away. it was scarring fear, something she had yet to overcome. “ i… should’ve fought back.. huh? ” digits curled tighter. “ i have the power… even yours.. the weapon you made me.. why am i still scared? ”
( 勝雄 ) Well that was quite the question, wasn’t it? At first, Katsuo didn’t have the first clue how to even begin to answer it, and it felt like the only thing he could do was to move his hand to rest on top of hers, gently stroking the back of it with his thumb. It always calmed down the twins when they got upset; years ago, he’d even done the same with Ryoko, except now it seemed that despite the fact that he knew she needed comfort, he never seemed to be able to give it to her. He only made things worse, despite how much power others claimed he had.
He opened his mouth for a few moments before any words came out of it. “Having power... it doesn’t mean... you aren’t afraid of anything, Yuki. Just because you get power... doesn’t mean all your fear goes away.” A deep breath. Katsuo really wasn’t good at that sort of argument, but for her, he’d try his best if nothing else. “It’s okay that you’re scared.”
( yuki. ):
|| 雪 || :: there was a familiar aura. the ninetailed fox remembered his warmth so well even though he wasn’t close enough for her to hold. the spreading of flames indeed startle the attacker to have pulled himself away from her, finally freeing her wrist that was in his grip and before she knew it, the male had already appeared before her. for once, his back seemed all the more stronger than she remembered. a strong sense of ( protection ) had the assault stepping back, and display of power willing the very person to grit his teeth before growling under his breath, taking his leave right after.
“ katsuo.. ” his name escaped her lips, and trembling hand found itself holding the hem of his shirt. like a child she was, the riddling fear of HUMANS had never disappeared.
( 勝雄 ) The blacksmith’s shoulders slumped the second the aggressor left his view, his expression losing any sort of authority it had gained now that Yuki was out of danger. Really, he wouldn’t question why she hadn’t fought back, as that wasn’t his concern; what mattered was if his companion was okay. At the sound of his name, he shifted his torso so that he could look at her without disturbing her hold on his short, then took a deep breath and allowed his staff to leave his hand in another quiver of flame.
“Hey, are you hurt?” He lifted up his now-free hand to brush his fingertips across her cheekbone, and his worry rang out clearly in his tone. “Not a great way to start the night, huh?”
( stranger. ):
Looks like this guy isn’t much of a wordplay connoisseur. Disappointed, he lets a barely audible sigh escape before shifting his own attention to join the stranger’s — it’d better be good, he finds himself thinking, to be that much more interesting than my amazing alias. Before the sentiment can be voiced aloud ( meant completely as a joke — although he acts otherwise, puns aren’t really what Lee’s life revolves around ), however, the implication in his companion’s words sends brows shooting through the roof.
“Uh, yeah?” Unsure of what he’s getting at, looking back and forth between the distance indicated and the stranger’s face as if his motivations will somehow become clearer that way, Lee offers a weak chuckle before continuing. “If you’re thinking what I think you’re thinking, then… how exactly do you plan to get up there, let alone make that jump?”
( 勝雄 ) Well, it wasn’t like the pun made sense without Katsuo knowing the other’s name in the first place, though if he were any smarter, he’d be able to assume it. As it stood, his attention remained on the matter of hopping buildings. He’d practiced long jumping before, and even if he missed by half a foot or so, he could still get down safely on the other side--it’d just draw more attention, probably. Already he could see a few ways to break his fall should he not make it all the way.
“It shouldn’t be that difficult. I mean, the world record is twice that far, and my sister and I used to do this kind of stuff all the time.” The technical name for ‘this kind of stuff’ was parkour if he remembered that right, and never mind that he’d only ever practiced at the Shrine. Honestly, he’d rather risk his safety than risk the twins getting upset with him for being late. “I wonder where I’d use to get up there though...”
( danger. ):
|| 雪 || :: “ no– let me go ! don’t touch me ! ” normally, the fox would’ve burst out in anger or exploding her power against the assault, but that rising FEAR of human had her body shiver in horror. NO NO NO– DON’T TOUCH HER. someone– someone get them away from her !
( 勝雄 ) He felt the spike of fear before he heard the commotion, and all his instincts brought him running to help. As he pulled out a slip of paper, it lit up in flames before being replaced in his hand by his spear; once he could see Yuki, he hit the tip of his weapon against the ground, sending a wall of fire towards her. It wasn’t enough to hurt anyone, but would hopefully still startle her attacker away. Finally he reached her. With a short breath of relief, he held up his arm--and his weapon by extension--to shield her. “Leave her alone,” he told the attacker, and for once, his voice held some note of authority to it.
『空也』 Just a quick status update that I’m switching this blog from semi-active to permanent semi-hiatus just to be more accurate.
( goddess, then. ):
⟨ 藤 — “ … Huh? “ a surprised, small gasp left the goddess’ lips as the other spoke of— her, basically. Not that she had issues with having her nature found out, no, not at all, moreso she was actually astonished that someone bothered to know about her - that someone actually put themselves through the burden of working out their memory and…! It almost made her tear up. Internally, at least. Outside, she was the usual shining sun, smiling brightly and making sunshine seem dark in comparison to her grin.
“ Oh, oh, um, I mean—! Oh, yes, I’m quite the lover of Slavic religion and folklore… Actually, I’m surprised to hear someone so informed. Did you study out of curiosity or because of some school thing? “ inquired she out of pure curiosity. After all, not everyone who PASSED BY were aknowledged on such culture. “ Hmmm… I’m doing fine. I’m trying to make acquaitances, friends… Meet people, and find people. My life usually’s like this! Pretty fun, hehe~ “ ⟩
( 亮子) Even if the other didn’t start tearing up, the gasp was enough to confirm what the merchant wanted to know, and that brought a rather pleased smile to her face. What a humbling opportunity to come face to face with such a powerful being; certainly, it explained where her wariness came from. Marzanna seemed flattered enough that someone merely recognised the name, so Ryoko couldn’t help but wonder how she’s react to knowing that the blond could tell she wasn’t human in the slightest. The idea interested her, but she’d hold off.
“I grew up at a shrine. It was only natural that I studied all kinds of religions and cultures, you see. Most people aren’t so informed, which is quite the shame, isn’t it?” She hummed. “Is that so? It does sound quite entertaining. Any particular reason you do so?” The more information the other gave, the more worthwhile the interaction became. Ryoko was quite the fan of expanding her intellect.
( strange. ):
⟨ 藤 — “ Ho ho, well, that is true~! “ what a shame that nobody’s cherishing the good weather, indeed. But what could Marzanna make of it? Despite being a goddess and all, she can’t control over others - not like some of her colleagues, at least– and she can’t make humans obey her as if they were her slaves, and oh god, forbid that! The least she’ll ever need is having someone work for her for free while being treated wrongly and in an inhuman way!
“ Maybe because they think it’s still snowing or raining. Y’know, people get caught in what they do at home… they forget to look outside to glance at the sky! “ with a big, sunny grin, the woman didn’t seem to flinch all that much as she other offered out an hand, taking it in hers immediately to give a heartly handshake. “ Nice to meet you, Ryoko! I’m Marzanna… But you can call me however. My name’s quite mouthful sometimes, hehe~ “ a giggle given, she tilted her head to the side by a bit, opening her eyes to glance with her monochrome irises. “ So, how are you fairing today? A visitor, are you a tourist? Or AM I…? Ahhh, I forgot– either way, I hope your day’s been great so far! “ ⟩
( 亮子) Ryoko would have been outside either way, of course; the weather didn’t prevent her from doing anything. Raining, snowing, or not, she’d still be either working or going for a run or looking for some local gym or library. She found it difficult to spend all day cooped up inside, so even if nothing else, she’d leave to find something to eat. How people sat around and did nothing but twiddle their thumbs, she just couldn’t fathom.
“Marzanna is a lovely name,” she offered in return as though to assure the other. “It’s the name of a Slavic or Baltic goddess, if I remember correctly, one representing seasonal rites of death and rebirth of nature--an interesting namesake.” And a telling one, too, whether it was merely a hint to her ancestry--were she to be human, at least--or origins. Goddess intrigued her. Maybe, she had to keep in mind, it was only a namesake and nothing more. “I’d say I’m doing well.” The market was on a lunch break, an extended one considering the lack of activity that day. “And how are you?”
I’m l o o k i ng at YOU and my heart LOVES the view
a few things you probably did not know about the signs
aries: even though they don't express it frequently, they constantly crave attention from the people they care about and feel neglected/disliked if they don't receive that attention
taurus: they're incredibly secretive; even if it seems like they're talking a lot and opening up to you, you will never know the whole story bc they'll never let you know the whole story - only random parts of it
gemini: very aware of what makes other people happy and of how to cheer them up - actually surprisingly good at comforting people if they care about them enough
cancer: even if they seem quiet and reserved on the outside theyre actually completely crazy once you get to know them and it's almost scary tbh
leo: 100% ready to help you out through any crap you're going through and are likely to kill someone for you if you need it
virgo: they have a rly dorky sense of humour and even though their jokes are usually the lame they'll always be there to pick you up when you're having a bad day
libra: not rly nice and nurturing to EVERYONE (like zodiac posts make them seem), actually VERY selective about their friends and gives them the realest advice without ever sugarcoating anything
scorpio: too perceptive, even if they don't point it out they can tell when something's wrong before you've even decided to tell them
sagittarius: even though they're outgoing and usually manage to get along with different kinds of people, they have only a very small number of true friends who they are ridiculously loyal to
capricorn: they are veeeeery picky, especially when it comes to friends and the people they trust - even if they seem very impressed with you they might be just acting polite while judging u on the inside lmao
aquarius: they aren't unemotional, they probably do care about you a lot but just don't know how to show it
pisces: they let themselves get dragged through the dirt all the time and even if you treat them like crap they pretend they're okay when they're not and do literally whatever they can to help you and make you happy
