“I should have guessed that it would be too much to ask to grow old with and see our children grow up together. So now, he is a legend when he would have preferred to be a man” - Jackie Kennedy on her husbands death.

President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy visited Paris, France, from May 31 to June 3, 1961 - The visit is famously remembered for the First Lady's charm offensive, the American First Lady, who was fluent in French, captivated the French public and led JFK to famously joke at a press conference: "I am the man who accompanied Jacqueline Kennedy to Paris, and I have enjoyed it."
During Jackie's triumphant 1961 visit to Paris, crowds lined the streets, shouting, 'Vive Jacqui! Vive Jacqui!"
