Muse: Ivy, bisexual. Shape shifter.
Plot: Your muse recently broke up with their long term partner and isn't ready to tell their family. Your muse knows that Ivy is a shapeshifter and asks her to fill in during the holiday. Your muse still holds a torch for their ex even though they are in denial, so this leads to some conflicting feelings. The ex may be male or female (your choice)
Ivy leaned forward in her seat, a half smile on her face as she gave her friend her full attention now. They couldn't be serious. It looked like they were serious. "So let me get this straight. You're saying you want me to shape shift into your ex to avoid an awkward holiday? You realize how ridiculous that sounds, right?"
Open to: M/F/NB
Muse: Rhiannon, 20s, she/her, bisexual. Drifter/Painter. She has the ability to travel through other people's dreams.
Plot: Your muse remembers seeing Rhiannon in a reoccurring dream and runs into her at a local bar. Your muse is trying to figure out how they know each other but they've never actually met in person.
"Listen, I'm not sure if this is like, one of those weird pick-up lines or something. But I'm certainly not the girl of your dreams." Rhia said as her eyes shifted to the exit. Anything to avoid looking at the other. Because it was true of course, she had visited their dreams on multiple occasions. Not intentionally, of course. It was hardly ever intentional. "I just have one of those faces, you know? Now if you'll just let me pass, that would be much appreciated."
"Do you always look this good while baking?” Holden finally said once the baked goods were placed in the oven, an amused smile tugging at his lips. With the real work out the way, he had all the permission needed to come out and play. He stepped closer into the kitchen, unable to resist the magnetic pull between them, his hand reaching out to brush a smudge of flour off their cheek. “Bet you taste better than anything we're baking anyway,” he murmured, before leaning in, his lips brushing against theirs in a gentle kiss.
plot: holden gets distracted while baking with your muse for the holidays muse: holden parrish (he/him), mid 30s, biromantic bisexual, veterinarian verses: human & vampire-werewolf hybrid (tvd inspired)
"Holden!" Ivy protested at first, her flour covered hands hovering in the air. But that was quickly forgotten just as soon as his lips were against hers. She forgot most things when he was kissing her. Great, now they were both covered in flour. She pulled back almost regretfully at first, eyes flickering from his lips to the flour hand prints she had just left on his shirt. "Look at you." She breathed, the corners of her lips pulling up into a sly smile. "You're a mess." As if she didn't already have flour in her hair. Ivy was sort of a wreck in the kitchen. But she did still want to try her hand at cupcakes. It seemed like a very human thing to do, something she had been failing at lately.
"i've heard that they say don't meet your idols, so i do hope that this starstrucked-ness, as you call it, lasts." lorne is quick to offer a joking selfdeprecation, amusement still dancing in their expression as they eye the woman a little more closely. the way she blushes at her own rambling, it's pretty. they want to write it down, remember it for a description. they don't falter at her compliment, though something in them feels oddly warm about it. they don't write for the fame, for the moments like this one. they write to keep a record, to remember, to know. not that anyone else would understand their little fucked up diary entries. "high praise. perhaps another time i could sign a couple more, then you have to let them fight it out to be in the top spot. what's your poison?"
"That would be some fight." Ivy said, pressing her lips together in amusement. She tried not to look so gleeful at the thought of Lorne signing more of her books. She was sure they didn't mean it. "I'll take a Gin and Tonic. That's my flavor for the season." Ivy paused, thinking back to the last time she'd had a drink. It had been a long time, it was true. She had looked different then. "Oh! I haven't even introduced myself." She said now, shaking her head at herself. "You can call me Ivy." She said, reaching her hand out for his.
we've all got a bit of darkness in us, don't we? lorne nearly snorts, amusement clear in their expression as the woman flashes a copy of one of their books at them and babbles on about their writing being her favorite. they wonder if she would feel the same if she knew... but that's neither here nor there, is it? "starstruck, i'm hardly a star, miss...?" their words trail off in obvious question, an eyebrow lifting as they take the pen and the book. "my agent once told me i should charge for these. how about a drink?" they sign their name on the title page with a flourish, knowing beyond thought that it's a bad idea. for her. for them. for the pair of them. but a character in one of their books, a character highly influenced by themself at a much younger age, did once state: what is life without a few bad ideas. it hardly seems relevant that that character had been the villain.
"I'm hardly excited about most things. You've written something I like, therefore that warrants starstrucked-ness." She said, her shoulders lifting slightly. Had she just made that word up? Her cheeks flushed. There she went again, sticking her foot in her mouth. It had been a long time since she had spoken to nearly anyone. If Ivy could help it, she mostly kept to herself. It was safer that way. But here was Lorne Carmichael, in the flesh! How could she say no? Relax, Ivy. Lorne is just a writer, and you're just human. Be human. She thought to herself. "A drink would be great, actually. Thanks for the autograph. You just made this book the most important book on my shelf."
ADELINE RUDOLPH for Muze Magazine
open to: anyone (romantic, platonic, familial) with: lorne carmichael (41, fictional crime author and definitely not a serial killer, they/them) plot: ym is a fan of lorne's work, lorne isn't used to being recognized
"s-sorry, an autograph?" lorne's features twist, their lips curled downward as their nose wrinkles against the question. they don't typically encounter this, the idea of fame something of a whimsical fantasy outside of their purview. they write books. they make up dark and twisted scenarios. outside of those hokey conventions they occasionally get invited to (and even less occasionally attend), they don't get recognized. "from... from me?"
"Yes, of course! I can't tell you how honored I am to meet you," Ivy said as she reached into her bag and brandished a copy of their book. "You are without a doubt, my favorite author. I know most people don't look at me and assume I would read your specific genre of writing. But we've all got a bit of darkness in us, don't we? ...Some more than others." She paused for a moment, pressing her lips together. "Look at me. I'm babbling. I'm so sorry. I never thought I would find myself starstruck, yet here we are." Ivy cleared her throat before holding out her pen. "But yes, I would love your autograph. If it isn't too much of a bother."
He let out a chuckle. "An extra hundred if I lose? Shouldn't the shame of defeat be punishment enough?" he teased further. Sean sat up more and leaned in a bit towards her. "Fine, but if I'm upping my ante, you need to do the same. Tit for tat. So what else do you plan on doing for me if I win?" He could come up with a couple of creative ideas, but he wanted to hear what she'd offer.
"Do you know how many offers I get here a night? So many empty promises." Xila sighed dramatically. As if that mattered. At the end of the day, Xila wore a plunging neckline not because she was looking to get laid but because cleavage made bigger tips. "I need to know you're the real deal. And anyway, shame is never enough." She said with a flippant hand.
Xila considered the other for a moment. He was charming, she'd give him that. She leaned into him, voice low as if they were sharing a secret. "Well, I am quite skilled with my tongue. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, shall we? If you win, maybe I'll tell you my name. But that's a big IF, isn't it?" She pulled back with a wink before turning to attend to her other patrons.
Una gave a small huff "I am being justifiably pathetic," she protested a bit pouty. She groaned "Xila seriously I love you so fucking much but there is no fiber of my being that wants to get slutted up," she said with a small strained chuckle. "I mean look at me," she gestured to herself. Her oversized sweatshirt with her exes old sweats on underneath. Her hair a mess. And her face red and puffy from crying. "I'm a lost cause when it comes to being slutty right now." She was at least smiling a little bit now at her friends antics now.
"That's the problem. I am looking. You're a fucking disaster. Now put your big boobs on and let's go. I want to see tits in an hour, this is non-negotiable. And if you think I won't strip you down and shove you into the shower myself, think again." Xila said, huffing as she stuffed the Ben and Jerry's back into the freezer. "You can't both deny me my Chunky Monkey and continue to be pathetic. Pick a lane, Una." She said, going the tough love route. Xila then reached under the counter, helping herself to the unopened bottle of wine stored away there. "Why are you still standing there? Chop chop, Una!"
plot outline : your muse has any connection ( their friend, neighbor, maid, etc. ) with his next victim. javier is currently scamming / trying to scam them; and he’s obviously not blowing his cover ! please note that the unnamed victim is incredibly rich and wealthy. open to any muse, 30+
the brunette man scoffed and took a drag from his cigarette; blowing the smoke away from them both. “i don’t know what you’re talking about -- i really don’t.” the cigarette was snipped to the ground and stepped on. brown eyes darted to the person in front of them. “i bought a ring for her, … if that’s what you want to know.”
"That's cute." Xila let go of a dry laugh at the mention of a ring. On the outside, she was sure anyone would have assumed she and Daisy were the oldest of friends. But at best, they were reluctant acquaintances. Their mothers were friends and that was about the extent of their relationship. If there was anything Daisy deserved, it was getting swindled by some drifter. She nodded towards the big house now. "But have you ever stopped to wonder why she hires a new maid every other week? It's because she never pays them. You're digging at an empty grave."
Open to M/F/NB
"Look I get it you're trying to be sweet and supportive and I love you for that," Una said to her best friend. "But ice cream and bad rom coms? Not gonna make being dumped on my birthday any better."
Xila stared back at her best friend, Ben & Jerry's in hand. "Alright." She said with a sigh. "I didn't want to have to do this, but you've left me no choice. No offense, but you're being pathetic. This is not how you greet the new year. Get out of that tear stained sweatshirt. We're dressing you slutty and we're going out."
muse : yeum nana . she / her . bisexual . ghost . plot: nana is a ghost haunting your muse . ym found a way to help nana pass over but ruined the chance out of selfish reasons . status : open mutuals + nonmutals .
" i'm haunting you because i was cursed . and you could have fixed that but you didn't . "
"Well could you haunt me a little quieter and off to the corner? People are starting to wonder why I'm talking to myself." Xila said, pushing down her guilt. This certainly wasn't her first run in with ghosts. But haunting? That one was a first.

Drinking before a fight probably wasn't the best idea, but it does help dull the pain a bit right before he gets in the ring. "Tell you what, why don't we make a bet?" Sean said with a small smile. "If I win tonight; you have to come back to my place and we have some fun where you play nurse. If I lose, I'll give you two hundred even. So what do you say? You up for it?"
"Baby, you couldn't have me for two hundred and a beer." Xila said, placing one hand on her hip as she looked her latest patron up and down. On second thought, tips had been low tonight and her shift behind the bar was nearly over. She could stand to have a little fun. "And anyway, If you're so confident you'll win, what's an extra hundred?"
