seminar reading for tomorrow. looking at the food and farming in middle neolithic britain.

my kind of academia is chaotic. a hurricane of papers littering every surface. haphazardly strown books with no real home. cups of half-drunk tea that you've forgotten about. hoarding pictures and statues you've found at a thrift shop. candle watching. having to fill the silence when you study. oversized cardigans with ratty t-shirts. weekly planners that have been abandoned. museum trips where you overload anybody who is listening with information. leaving essays until the night before. journeying to fields and mountains to visit historical sites even though it's storming. glasses on chains because you know you'll lose them. deciding to abandon the set reading for a particular topic that has caught your eye that week.
