I don’t know if ya saying this insinuating that I’m young or not.
“Maybe, maybe not. Figure it out.”
I think I’m having a midlife crisis. Woah.
"Midlife crisis, at that age?”
Certainly I pull the look off better, though.
“Shall we compare?”
『A skin sacrifice. If I give it to you, what to I get in exchange?』
“Eternal compassion.”
『Itchy skin.』
『Burning skin.』
『Crawling skin.』
"Get rid of it. Give it to the Gods.”
Ah, you’re such a loser sometimes you know?
“Aren’t we all, sometimes?”
Of course, otherwise I wouldn’t stick around like this.
"Maybe that’s because you’re sticky. You stick around easily.”
And that’s why you like me, huh.
“Oh, brother. Don’t you like me too?”
No, no, no. If I do then I will get sucked into another debate and we both know that my brain will explode this time.
“You’re the one making it complicated this time...!”
That’s not exactly what I meant but, okay. I guess?
“Then what did you mean, Aryu? Enlighten me.”
aryumorrigan:
Always so deep…What’s wrong with you?
“Feeling a little nostalgic, wishing that I was among the stars. Don’t you want to be a star sometimes?”
“I looked up to the sky, so immense, so far.”

“Cigarettes… good idea… Need a new pack too.”, Tyle mumbled in this deep voice that was filled with rage and frustration. Normally he had no problem hiding his emotions and it was a mystery to him why he wasn’t able to at this exact moment. Was it the weather? The hot and humid, almost tropical weather? Couldn’t be, he thought. Never before he had been badly affected by heat. Maybe it would be better once he was on the road, so as quickly as possible he navigated out of the parking lot into the city, but since traffic was so busy he couldn’t calm down yet. Tyle needed something to focus on. Cigarettes. Convenience store. Beach. Water. His friend sitting next to him. “Hey. What kind of cigarettes do you smoke?”, Tyle asked. He had to admit he wasn’t necessarily interested in the brand, but asking questions and having a conversation was another way to cool down.
“Whichever.” he said with a shrug. Whichever brand would do, as long as it had his mouth and fingers occupied. Wasn’t it the sole purpose of smoking, after all? Isami’s forehead displayed a frown, but he was not truly upset. Irritated was perhaps a better choice of word.
He was obviously not enjoying the traffic that kept them from moving, and even just a minute of waiting for the light to turn green felt like ages to him. In this case, he would rather be walking, and he considered it for a moment before bringing it up.
“We could park the car somewhere and walk.” Sure, the beach was probably not at a distance which they could walk without exhausting themselves. But from there to a store, at least, a walk could get his blood running a little more than sitting there numbly.
Isami | Aryu
The casual way Isami spoke, as if Tsuzuku wasn’t worthy of admiration, started to make Aryu’s skin crawl. He wasn’t going to show this. It wouldn’t be worth starting an argument. He’s always like this, Aryu told himself. Despite that being true it didn’t seem that Isami was going to drop this topic too easily.
“You of all people should know that religion in general is an intimate topic,” He replied. “It doesn’t matter what God you’re talking about.” Aryu’s voice trailed off and he took the other’s departure as an excuse to remain silent for a few moments longer than neccessary. After some careful deliberation, he decided to approach the topic, though rather cautiously, in hopes of satisfying his curiosity. “He’s…wise. I guess that sums it up pretty well.”
The other’s words still reached him all the way to the fridge. Cracking the can open, he lingered into the kitchen for a moment where he breathed out a little more sharply, after taking some well needed sips. It gave him more than enough time to regain himself and refill his patience as he made it back to the couch.
“Wise.” he said, as if he was waiting for something else. And he was. While Gods were wise, wisdom in itself had never created Gods. He had to have something more, and Isami, he wanted it. Placing the can on the spot next to the empty one, he pursed his lips.
Isami | Aryu
The answer to that question wasn’t something Aryu would give up so easily. While it was obvious to those on the outside how he viewed his ‘God’, no one ever knew his true thoughts. He valued his privacy when it came to sensitive matters like this. Words could be misinterpreted and twisted rather easily. Aryu laughed before clearing his throat, “How do you expect me to answer that question? It’s a bit intimate, don’t you think?”
"Like you would answer it if he didn’t happen to be, well, human. If you were to speak this way of Buddha, would that feel just as intimate? What about Shiva? I don’t think so. Tsuzuku, he is not like them, or like any God that I know of. So tell me. What is it about him?” He insisted. He pushed. Isami was a tad frustrated by the lack of response, but he was a patient one.
After swallowing the only few droplets of beer that his can could squeeze out, a grimace deformed his features for a brief moment. Make yourself at home, Aryu often said, and Isami did just that. He got up, heading for the fridge where he fished for another drink.
