12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

I’m not totally sure if you mean for the ship, or individually, so here’s both!!!!

I think Tsukasa would be a very outdoorsy person… especially river wading…. His family is rich so I think they’d go to vacation homes over the summer and he would really really enjoy the beach and forest and just wilderness in general!!!! That’s a bit of a projection really LMAO I’ve been to this specific river house a few times over my summers and it’s always soooo much fun to climb the rocks upstream… here’s Tsukasa catching a crab by the beach at night hehe…

As for Rui, I see him as being very physical- like as in his main love language being touch. He cuddles with his friends, Tsukasa, his mom; he loves hugging people, loves it when someone braids his hair or whatever, just loves loves loves touch (as long as it’s a friend and not a stranger, of course). I drew him hugging the plushie cuz I was too lazy to figure out a good cuddling pose 😭 also largely a projection… I can see his secondary love language being gifts!!! Very crafty boy

For a ship headcanon, I think Rui would be really nervous when voicing what he wants from Tsukasa (I drew him trying to hold Tsukasa’s hand awwww) and instead trying to drop small hints and suggestions so it feels like Tsukasa is doing so out of his own volition rather than Rui asking him to, just because it feels reassuring and like he’s not being overbearing/too much. Tsukasa was initially a bit confused when Rui started squirming and just staring at his hand or fidgeting or whatever but he can pick them up better now!!!

i can not express through words, both inside my mind and out, how much i love ruikasa. it feels ridiculous to have one of my major passions be two fictional gay dudes who aren’t even canonically dating but I really do love them so extremely. I think about them every hour of every day (not an exaggeration /srs) in stupid scenarios and things they would say and just them in general. There’s something so wholesome and pure and sweet about their relationship — not just that but I don’t have the words to describe it. Rui, the eternal outcast, who’s always been treated as an other and never fit in anywhere or had friends who didn’t leave him meeting someone as bright and passionate and outgoing as Tsukasa, and this person loves him. So much. And Tsukasa finally has someone who would choose him over everything and give him all the love he needs and it’s just. Theyre so everything to me. Genuinely I am insane about them but like it’s because theyre so cute. There’s a reason theyre popular it’s because theyre so amazing. I want to badly to say more but genuinely my love for them is too big for words to capture. At least by me because I am not a writer. Anyway ruikasa…. oh how I love these idiots🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

It’s probably also because I find some sort of comfort in their relationship as someone who majorly relates to Rui. Maybe there’s something about how someone like Rui can have such a wonderful friend (read: boyfriend) that makes me believe I can have a friend like that even tho theyre fictional. Just felt like talking abt them

oh. hi. i was like “when did i make a post about this??” but i just remembered i did mention it in the tags of their dancing video… anyway yes they are each others’ foils and it’s why ruikasa is the only non yuri ship i care about atm lol

but yeah basically ena : tsukasa = mizuki : rui.

ena/tsukasa: loud, stubborn, dramatic, have a Complex about their craft (painting vs acting). very kind and considerate of others, but they sometimes come off as aggressive/annoying. big siblings. stupid but smart in their own way. easily ragebaited by their assigned ragebaiter. ena involved half the cast and ran after mizuki for 3km with her noodles legs to get her back. tsukasa put on a whole fucking show in his sekai and kidnapped rui to get him back. yellow/caramel. SUNS.

mizuki/rui: isolated themselves in middle school. used to be more quiet and reserved bc of the bullying they suffered – mizuki for being trans, rui for being autistic (let’s admit it, it’s pretty text atp that rui is autistic). after finding a way to be themselves (mizuki by transitioning, rui by putting on his robot shows) they both grew bolder and more confident. normal people tend to kind of like them but find them too weird to approach. they both have a passion (fashion vs robotics/directing) that allows them to express themselves freely. both incredibly smart, quick-witted, sharp, good at reading people. they both prefer adopting a laid-back, chill, fun persona even when they’re struggling. both love to raigebait the hell out of ena/tsukasa. vibrant purple/pink. MOONS.

and after all, in ena5 it’s rui himself who tells ena that she should keep pushing with mizuki. that he’s been in a similar situation before (when he first left wxs) and that he is now glad tsukasa (he called him a stubborn individual even then iirc) smashed through all his walls. that he’s glad he’s “walking the same path as him” now (whatever that means. gay). ALSO in mizuki’s 4* card side story she and rui have a whole talk gushing about ena and tsukasa and how similar they are and how much they owe them or smth. gotta re read it, might add screenshots in a rb.

Random thought but here’s something that would be fun — figuring out what languages are best for writing songs about specific topics. Like what language has the most rhyming words about love. Or sadness. What words don’t rhyme in this language that rhyme in another. How many syllables does this word have and how many does the equivalent in another language have. Which fits the rhythm the best. All I’m saying is there is potential here
