#Inktober theme 7... Lost. There was a song but it escaped me and I gave up trying to remember. Nothing more symbolic in my mind of "mixed signals" then a Chimera... With an added head for emphasis... There is a lot more going on with this image, but, like the others, I'm leaving it up in the air. No one really dabbles in much symbolism anymore, anyway. #Inktober theme 6: Hidden Late. But...this has a lot of feels behind it. And apparently my copics are actually dying. Never had that happen before...but never used them so much either. So more like Hidden meaning. Though I will drop a not so hidden meaning. The dragon is baby Tyrannomora (Dragon Queen Tyrannomora as she is known later...or The Black End), one of my oldest characters, if not the first I ever created when I was 9-10. It's been so long, I can't remember. She has changed a lot since then. Evolved with me, you could say. As for the Unicorn...well, she is the newest and more an Archetype but it means a lot in that place. So, old and new. Some comfort is always good. No special songs or anything with this one. Sad I don't remember everything about her design as I haven't drawn her in ages. For anyone who doesn't know, this is my primary original Transformer back when I used to frequent the fandom. A lot of things happened...she was stolen A LOT, and I just found the community degenerative and grew out of it, like, I don't know. Everything in my life at this point. Damn, that adult thing... ...this took way longer. But considering I finished two of these today... Inktober 8. "Rock" Well, more attempts at catch up later. At least the coffee stain is for the most part blended in. The original concept was way more simplified but of course I can't leave well enough alone. For once I don't have some meaningful lyrics or quotes... However there is meaning to this in some way for me. Surprise, surprise... I also need to work on my clouds. As usual, I'm attempting to tweak them by trial and error, but I'm definitely inspired by #Williamstout . He is amazing. So, I was out all yesterday so didn't get to do any Inktober. So apparently I'll make up for it by inking sketches I have laying around. I'm still following the themes, of course, with my primary venty subliminal imagery and visuals...but... Iscariot. Yes, he is a #Pikachu. I have a nostalgic love for Pokemon. A fluffy sorta angora-esque Pikachu with a bone to pick and prideful/arrogant and overly judgemental. I haven't been playing #pokemongo all that much lately, but ended up sketching him a couple weeks ago. And no, he isn't a nice Pikachu. But then my style doesn't really fit in a "nice" category either. To be honest he feels more like a Pikachu version of my Lalafell, Hanababa. Just not as horrible and weirdly "religious" aspected. Symbolically, maybe. I don't know. Considering I had Iscariot in an old #Pokemon game...weird connections. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed." --- #Inktober 4. Prompt "Hungry" finished. For those who can't read my scribbles, re-write. Love me some Criminal Minds...I need to catch up. Anyway, this got crazy. I don't even know what is happening anymore. I feel like Schmendrick the Magician with these progressing images. "Magic do as you will." If you do not know who he is...better get out there and get you a copy of The Last Unicorn. The weird swirls would have been better if the Copic marker wasn't near empty. Something I was actually surprised about as I hadn't used that one in a bit. Yeah...doubling up or attempting to for tomorrow. Guess it depends on what I come up with for "Lost" as "Sad" has already been drawn...just not inked. The Dragon is actually a concept of a character for this particular story with the Unicorn...however hungry does not always pertain to the usual definition... Don't think about that too much. #Inktober #3 "Collect" theme, via the #artsnacks calendar. The following, instead of song, in some multifaceted way fits in with conveying the imagery That however requires knowing deep labyrinths of thought on my part. So, relish in one of my favorite quotes to one of my all time favorite movies...and getting confused how this fits. Either way, it's the art that matters...right? All I will say, however, is this is the first time I've drawn my version of Ouroboros. And she is not wanting to hurt the Unicorn, if the expression glean anything. Kinda wished I didn't add too much highlight on Ouroboros from the feather, but...it's alright. Intentionally no casting on the Unicorn... Yeah... --- Somerset: Picking up the pieces. We're collecting all the evidence, taking all the pictures and samples, writing everything down, noting the time things happen. Mills: That's all? Somerset: That's all. These have been so far, far more detail and imagery oriented then last year...in what little I did end up putting together anyway. But I did not have as much emotion repressed then either. Or rather, it wasn't as expressive as it is now. As with the first, the theme correlates with the #artsnacks Inktober challenge sheet that came with the box. One may ask what makes them image so "noisy". There is nothing more boisterous then the tumultuous thrumming of a #Heart that wants what it wants. And yes, that is what she is holding in her hands...I draw the heart very otherworldly. It's an old habit. I'm sure it will show up again. Theme : "Run" Just like any artist built on passion from the heart; anything that resonates will bleed out in symbolic imagery. Muses are fickle, terrible things sometimes... Especially to music, poetry...the list goes on. I am following the #Artsnacks theme list...save I'm also doing one of my other projects; creating an image to certain songs that resonate with strong visuals, to me anyway. They are deep residuals, so for the most part they will not be understood beyond what they look like...which is fine with me. I'll end up writing up said song and artist on the image like this one...and of course some bit with the lyrics that burned with the imagery.
