He smiled at that, pulling her closer “I’m happy you told me. I feel like I know you so much better now” He chuckled kissing down her neck.

Archie woke up smiling “Well, good morning to you” He chuckled turning his head to face her “Don’t judge my morning breath” He chuckled kissing her jaw “Did you sleep well?”

“I’d never judge you.” She smiled and kissed his cheek a few time. “I slept wonderfully. You have no idea how much better I feel now that you know everything.”

Archie could feel himself drift off as well “I’m far from perfect” He assured her “Tomorrow, I’ll make you feel perfect.” He whispered, kissing her cheek before falling asleep.

“Hush…” She smiled and fell asleep soundly in Archie’s arms. When she woke up she was still in his arms. “Good morning, Archie.” She whispered and kissed his neck.

“Really? That’s how I’ve always watched trees” He smiled putting an arm behind her on the bench and turning over to face her “You know it will get easier right? I know you can’t see this right now, but the hurting will eventually stop ruining your life. I promise you that.” He said in a more reassuring tone.

Regina opened her eyes as she wrapped her arms tightly around her legs. What a sight they must be; the mayor drunkenly curled up on the bench with the town shrink practically holding her. She kind of wanted him to hold her. “Yes, well, the hurting hasn’t stopped yet and drinking is the only thing that helps.”

“I get it” He assured her “It was whisky for me. But please remember that it’s not a permanent solution. I’m not going to tell you to stop drinking, or that it doesn’t help because I know it does. I still think that you should talk about it. when you,re ready of course.” He said, emphasising that last part.

Archie laughed “My plan is to stay with you and that impressively big bottle of liquor. If looking at the pretty pretty trees is what it takes… then yeah.” He sighed and looked over at her “You get drunk often?”

“I have the money for the better liquor and it doesn’t make sense to buy the small bottles over and over,” she stated simply. She sighed and closed her eyes when he asked how often she got drunk. “I didn’t realize staring silently at trees included asking about my drinking habits.”

Regina hadn’t expected Archie to be the one on the other side of her door when she opened it. She chuckled at his admission when she saw him standing there soaked, “Come on in, Archie. You can dry off while I make us some tea.”

Archie walked in “Thank you so much. I’m sorry I’m ruining your floor.” He said trying to stand on the mat. “Tea sounds amazing!” He took his coat off. “Of course, the worst rain of the year had to happen the day I didn’t carry my umbrella.” He chuckled at the irony.

“You’re not evil.” He said simply running a hand through her hair. “You’re a loving mother, a sweet girlfriend, a smart mayor and an all around kind soul.” He rested his chin on top of her head. “and I love you and I will help you figure everything out. It will all be ok, I promise.”

“You’re too perfect.” She kissed his neck and rest her head as she began to drift off. “I don’t know how I’ll ever be able to repay you.” Regina spoke through a yawn.

“Yeah apparently its a common Mills trait.” She said with a sigh but was starting to relax in his company.

“Could be much worse” He laughed looking over at her “It feels weird to see this house so empty” He said softly “It usually feels like an endless party when I walk by”

“It doesn’t feel like that inside. I think my family always try to be loud and happy because they never got the chance to be sad… Now if they tried it would be too much.”

Archie’s eyebrows shot up. He exhaled leaning over to rest his elbows on his knees. He really wished more people would come and see him. This town was filled with troubled souls and they all wanted to work through it by themselves. Then again, he knew very little of magic and his advice might have been wrong because of it. “I’d like to learn about magic…” He commented, barely realising he was talking out loud.

“Me and you both Mr Hoppers.” Robyn said with a small smile before shrugging. “Maybe you can tell me what you know and I can see if I can understand enough to explain.”

Looking up from her papers, Shea stayed silent for a moment, before smiling a little. “Yeah, I think it might have been, it is raining outside.” Standing up, she made her way to the window and peeked out. “Yeah, it’s storming pretty bad. We might be stuck here, Archie…”

“The kittens think my vodka is water. Berlioz got a nice little taste once and I ended up with a drunk kitten.” Shea laughed a little.

He laughed back, spotting her house a few feet away “A drunk kitten? That must be a sight!” He commented, letting go of her hand so she could open the door. “Can I give them the catnip? I want them to love me.” He smiled at her.

Regina picked her feet up, letting her heels slip off her feet and fall to the ground. She drew her knees to her chest and rested her heels on the bench. She sighed as she rested the side of her head against her knees. “So is your plan to just sit here and stare silently at the pretty pretty trees?”

“There was a reason I kept ignoring your calls all day, I tried doing most of this if not all of it without magic. You have no idea how hard it is to catch a flying tablecloth when you have bags of food and a wine bottle in your arms.” Watching him pull out the chair she smirked at his overly [polite attitude before sticking her nose in the air and sitting down. 

“Why thank you Archibald.” Laughing at the very sound of his full name she covered her mouth with a napkin before  grinning as he too sat down. “Getting the food was simple enough, Granny memorizes almost everyones orders after about 28 years so all I had to do was ask. The wine is courtesy of Mr. Gold, he actually has a taste in fine wine and keeps a few bottles in his basement I promise nothings poisoned or enchanted.”

Archie chuckled, impressed by all she had done. “Johanna, you are by far the most amazing person I’ve ever gotten the chance to meet.” He grinned opening the bottle of wine and pouring them a glass each.

“And you did all this without magic? I’m impressed!” Archie started digging into his plate “This is delicious! Oh and... please don’t ever call me Archibald again.” He said laughing, looking up at her.

Archie took her chin in her hand to make her look at him. “Regina, I knew who you were before I knew about that. Over there, you had power, magic, and hate. It changes a person. It twists them into doing things they wouldn’t normally do.” He kissed her softly stroking her cheek with his fingertips “I bet the real Regina is the one Daniel fell in love with, the one I’m in love with.” He assured her, pulling her even closer.

Regina returned every kiss and kept him close as he spoke. “You’re too kind to me.” She shook her head and leaned her head on his shoulder. “I like to think that I am that same girl. But a lot has changed since then…”

He smiled softly at her answer. “We definitely don’t have to talk about him.” He assured her leaning back on the bench looking at the distance. “That’s a pretty view” He observed. he was a sucker for a nice scenery. “How’s Henry doing?”

She crossed her arms over her chest and raised an eyebrow at him. What was his angle here? “What’s your angle?” She silently cursed herself for being unable to keep her thoughts to herself right now. “Why are you sitting here talking to me about Henry and trees?”
