Why do we pray to the sky?
We kneel our whole lives and never ask why
We say it is faith
That it isn’t too late
But how can we trust in a world where we never die
The risks are gone
We only write new songs
To praise the ones of old
It has to feel so cold
We need no more
Than what we already know
And hatred to the core
For the ones who don’t show
We think their faith is weak
No matter how bleak
In a blink we question their belief
Yet to never think we are wrong is our only relief
We pray for a better death because death is good
Our lives don’t matter even though they should
We are here for a reason
But we think it is treason
To believe in anything no one has understood
We raise our empty hands to the sky
And empty they remain when we die
For no god could truly understand the reasons we cry
Without first creating a reason why
A few years to eternity
It should be clear which is special
Yet we show only taciturnity
To anything less than the holy especial
We are either taught to welcome death with open arms
Or fear it for the remainder of our existence
To embrace it’s ever giving charms
Or run from it’s ever closing distance
But I shall not force its hand
Nor try to deter it from my land
I shall not make an effort to change its insistence
I will not cower from it’s retrieval
Nor will I search for it’s hand in tears
For death is not good nor evil
And I shall show no pride nor fear

if your cat meows then well that’s great
What if your cat never meows
stoic, mysterious, I like that
What if it barks?
Beef Jerky is only Jerked Beef. Stay woke.
