Conversations with Ghosts
Conversations with Ghosts is an audio drama about loss, history and the things we leave behind, brought to you by the creators of Archive 81. The podcast follows mausoleum attendant Mal Fleming as he tries to convince the spirits of Grey Briar Cemetery to pass on. In each episode, Mal sits down with a new ghost to build a portrait of their life, their death, and their afterlife... all to help them release whatever still ties their soul to this reality.
Conversation with Ghosts is just as lovely as the premise promises it to be. It truly is an art to be able to tell the story of a character in just twenty minutes of audio and make them this easy to empathize and sympathize with. The Ghosts of Grey Briar Cemetery are charming; sometimes fun, sometimes sad, but always interesting to listen to.
For the people who have listened to Archive 81 (and for everyone else, this is your sign to listen to it), if you particularly enjoyed the stories of the residents of the old Visser building as recorded by Melody Pendras, then this really is the show for you.
Conversations with Ghosts releases weekly, and it has, as of now, nine episodes. Listening weekly may leave you feeling melancholic and make the wonder for the human experience spark just a little in your heart. I deeply recommend it.
