“No, no,” the brunette wrinkled her nose at the taste of the pasta sauce. “What do ya think it needs?” Lily asked as she held out a wooden spoon full of sauce from the pot.

Sophie watched as the boy began to pick up some things, and she licked her lips a little nervously. The blonde stood up and hugged the book to her chest, her very light french-canadian accent seeping through her words. “Are you a mechanic?”

Charlie looked over his shoulder realizing that the girl was talking to him. “Me? No. My car just didn’t want to start today. I thought I would take a stab at it before spending money taking it into a shop.”

Sophie had finally finished unpacking, and the girl was sitting on the gras with her nose buried in a book when she heard the roar of an engine, looking up with an expression of intrigue as she watched, staring until she realized what she was doing. The blonde turned red and instantly looked back down at the pages, not saying anything.

Finally! After working on his car for nearly three hours, it was finally back up and running. Looking up, he saw someone glancing in his general direction. Offering an apologetic smile, Charlie hoped he wasn’t being too loud working on his car. Turning the engine off again, Charlie climbed out of his car and starting cleaning up everything.
