“That hurts, you know. I’ll be looking down from heaven, where I’ll ultimately end up, of course… and you’ll be wearing jeans and a t-shirt to such an important event while everyone else is dressed up. How could you do that to future deceased me?” Kingston’s got an overdramatic pout tugging at his lips, chin resting on his knuckles as a show of his exhaustion. “Oh my days, are you serious? I could use, like, ten drinks right now. I could probably pay, too, ‘cause I’ve been working my arse off these days. We should do it.”
“Heaven, huh?” Arden snorts in response to that, eyes rolling in amusement. “Don’t kid yourself, Carlisle,” she tells him, reaching over to lightly shove at the boy’s shoulder. “You get jeans or you get joggers. Nothing more, nothing less.” She quirks up an eyebrow alongside her words, amused grin playing at her lips. “I am absolutely never opposed to free drinks, my friend. Never.”
