Allison was surprised at the contact. When Lydia pulled away, she didn’t let her get far, holding onto the other’s elbows. “Where did that come from?” she asked, a bit confused, but not repulsed. More curious than anything.
MORTIFIED didn’t even begin to cover the way lydia felt at the moment. allison posed an excellent question. where did that come from? allison had been wrapped up in their conversation, and lydia had abruptly ended it by kissing her best friend. former best friend? no. the wall around the strawberry blonde’s heart had suffered a fracture and she knew she needed to mend it--quickly. her bewildered expression was replaced with a smirk, and she shrugged.
❛ kiss a girl. i just figured with all of the danger we’re almost constantly in that i should make a bucket list. that was one of my items. ❜
in the process of convincing myself to make a nice, pretty container theme for this account. til then - don’t judge me, lol
I believe you. After everything we’ve been through. I believe you.
Lydia would never run and hide. Because of Stiles? Because of Scott.
“You think you know death, but you don’t. Not until you’ve seen it, ’til you’ve really seen it. It gets under your skin and lives inside you. There’s nothing you can do. Nothing.”

Scott kept replaying the scene in his head. I love you Scott McCall. He kept thinking there must have been something more he could have done to save her. He kept wondering when he’d wake up from this goddamn never-ending nightmare. When would he wake up to over a year ago when his only problem was bowling? When would he finally be able to find peace in his life?
Thankfully his thoughts were interrupted by the strawberry blonde. She really didn’t need to ask if he was okay. She already knew the answer to that. She didn’t lose just Allison, she lost Aiden too. Scott looked over at her and shook his head. He wasn’t even going to lie to her, there was no point.
”No, I’m not okay.”
Of course he wasn't okay. She knew that. He'd been right there with her, held her while she died. That had to have done a number on him. Hell, she knew she would be in even bigger pieces than she already was if she'd actually seen her leave. The thought made her feel sick to her stomach so she quickly tried to flip the channel to something else.
“I'm not either,” she admitted. “I also have no desire to be here. My mom thought it'd be best for me to just get back to normal. But it's not normal, nothing is.”
Her brows pulled together and she gave his shoulder a small squeeze. “It feels so wrong without her here.” Her chin dimpled and she took a deep breath, pulled herself together. She didn't want to fall apart in front of him, or at all. Plus, he looked like he needed someone right now. She probably did too, but she wasn't there yet. She didn't want anyone to try and help her out because trying to just move past it felt wrong.

The sob that broke from her lips didn’t surprise him. Honestly, he’d just been waiting for it. Not because he wanted her to hurt, but because he understood just how much.
He hadn’t, however, anticipated her walking away.
“Lydia, wait ” A few long strides and he was next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder gently. “I’m sorry.”
She would have walked faster but she couldn't seem to get her legs to cooperate. They felt like giving out completely instead of carrying her away.
It was no surprise that he caught up.
When his arms wrapped around her she was tempted to pull away but she didn't have it in her. Instead she sank into his arms, loosely wrapped her own around his waist and she broke down. She shook her head against his chest when he apologized and took a breath.
“You don't... didn't do anything. How are you holding it together..?”
xalphalupus:
Scott was relieved that it was all over but he just couldn’t bring himself to feel happy about it. People died because of this. And the crying…the fucking crying wouldn’t stop. When would it stop? When would this numbness stop? He wanted to talk about it with somebody, but at the same time he just wanted to lock himself into his room and never come out.
Maybe somebody would notice him and ask what’s wrong because he couldn’t move away from his locker. He was just standing here, staring into his locker with his hand on the door.
Aiden was gone. There was no one she could think she wanted to talk to except Allison. The problem with that? She was gone too. A steady ache was present in her chest and she couldn't decide if she preferred it or the numbness that had plagued her just after. The pain felt nearly unbearable but the numbness made her feel like dying. Either way, it was a lose lose situation.
It wasn't until she saw him standing there staring at nothing that she realized just how much they had in common at the moment. They were both dealing with extreme loss, and she could trust him. So she approached him and carefully placed a hand on his shoulder. “Scott?” She gently chewed on her lower lip. “Are you okay?”
"Don't find me."

{The smallest of a smile appears, as a tear falls.
None of this was supposed to happen.
However, she knew it was all a possibility.
It was a risk she was more than willing to take, for Lydia.}
”I can hear you, Lyds, I’m right here.
You’ll never have to be without me.
I promise you, I will always be here.”
{ There was a faint sound, almost like a whisper, and Lydia stopped moving completely so she could hear it better. The sound terrified her. Did this mean she was receiving news of another death? Someone else she might fail like she failed Allison... Then she heard it again and she stood up from her bed and froze. }
“....---Allison?”
{ A tear fell onto her cheek as she glanced around. Of course it wasn't Allison, that was impossible. Wasn't it? }
sanguisxargentum:
It happened so fast. One moment she had been telling Isaac it would be alright, that she would come back, mastering a display of confidence she wasn’t sure she had. There were a lot of unknowns in this situation. She didn’t think a vampire could face the final death after a stabbing from a sword but this was different. The swords the Oni held seemed to be part of them, from the same realm, plane, whatever you wanted to call it and if that was the case could this demonic item cause her to face death even as a vampire? And then the cold had become bitter, she no longer felt Isaac’s touch and her vision began to blur. Blackness encased her in its cruel snare until suddenly she found herself outside her body, an observer unable to do anything but watch as the scene played out in front of her. Lydia. She’d finally made it——- it was then the thought struck her, if she was seeing this, if she was outside her body… oh god, did this mean she was dead? A hand came up to cover her mouth as her gaze drifted from Isaac’s unrelenting hold on her… her body to Lydia whom seemed agitated with Scott and devastated by her body in front of her. Lydia’s expression caused Allison to grab her mid-section, as if that as the only thing holding her upright while her body lay still a few feet away.
Allison had been brave for them but now they couldn’t see her and the notion of being dead, if that was what this really was, suddenly hit her full force. She was a seventeen year old immortal, she wasn’t supposed to be killed by a Japanese demon. Scott continued to gently grip Lydia’s shoulder, his facial expression exhibiting calmness and determination that contrasted with his inner emotions. He was well aware of what him and Isaac were thinking but not saying. It was possible that she wouldn’t wake up, they didn’t know what effects the sword could have on her. It was this notion that prevented him from attempting to move or talk to Lydia again, instead letting her mourn her friend for a few more moments.
It was then something struck him, three words that Allison had told him when he had tried to kill himself. ‘There’s always hope.’ He had to believe that. Allison would wake up and he needed to get through to Lydia. They’d all been keeping too many secrets. “Lydia. Lydia!” Scott stated rising his voice enough to get her attention. “Allison’s not dead, she’s a vampire!” Scott revealed, voice a bit too loud and laced with emotion. His voice only wavered a moment as his eyes washed over Alison’s all too still features before connecting back with Lydia’s gaze. Isaac finally looked away from Allison in reaction to Scott’s words as if he needed to hear someone say that out loud. “Allison will wake up soon, we just have to wait.”
Despite the hand on her shoulder holding her steady she'd slumped forward a little further in the pursuit of reaching for Allison's hand. Isaac had just stood by quietly, eyes still searching Scott's however it went unnoticed by the strawberry blonde. She was busy trying her best to ignore how cold Allison's skin felt and how still she was. Unnaturally still. Her body was shaking, pure shock hitting her, when Scott finally spoke up again. His words made her furious and he probably sensed it because he took his hand away from her shoulder. She gently set Allison's hand on her abdomen before she turned around to face him.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” She asked, her voice dripping with venom. “I don't care if this is your way of coping... You need to stop talking.” There were daggers in her glare and she was shaking again. His eyes were pleading as he shook his head. “Lydia no, listen to me. Just listen for a second okay?” And finally, hearing the desperation in his voice, she let him talk. “I wouldn't lie to you about this,” he continued. “I know you know that. She had vampire blood in her system and she died, and I should've told you already. I'm sorry.” He had lowered himself to her level, eyes dead on hers. Her breathing slowed and she stared at him for several seconds before she looked back over at Allison.
“She's so still,” she practically whispered, and Scott finally deemed it safe to touch her again. “I know. She'll be fine,” he assured her so he could further reassure himself. Her eyes wandered up to Isaac who had finally resumed his position, watching her like a hawk. She hadn't even noticed there wasn't a trace of tears on his face until now. --- They were telling the truth, or at least they seemed to believe it; and for the moment, she chose to believe it too because the alternative was unbearable. She relaxed a little under Scott's hand and let out a small, shaky breath. “How long will it take..?”
somethingxmissing:
{A quiet whisper into the stiff air.}
“I’ll still go with you, Lyds.
You just won’t know it.”
“I mean hell, I've already picked out our dresses; but we were going to try some on anyway. & eventually I'd pull out hers and suggest she try it on, she'd love it, and then I'd find mine and...”
“Ally, if you can hear me... I really wish you were here. I don't even know what I'm doing anymore without you.”
Just thought I'd let you know that when Lydia asked who would go prom dress shopping with her, my Allison just whispered 'I'll still go with you, Lyds, you just don't know it'.
