Shade/Neuro

Neuro and Shade were going to get married, then the Tournament invitation came

Shade is the flirty one, but he cannot take it at all. man turns into a blushing, flustered mess if Neuro flirts back

They're both really smart & aggressive planners, this is how Shade inexplicably got his hands on Neuro's finances, did the maths, and figured out they could take home like an extra 8k/year each if they got a civil union. and that's how they got married at first, and then they wanted to get it done properly like 1.5 years after dating

They complement each other well in combat. Neuro is better off at dealing with lots of people he can influence or confuse, and is best at dealing with ambushes/surprise attacks. Shade mostly uses his clones to distract his opponents, then ambushes them, and doesn't do too well against large crowds. They both fill in each other's short comings.

Specifically for Neuro, he can only do hallucinations if he gets physical contact

Nya/Tox

Love at first sight, except they mutually believe that the other doesn't want them. Nya thinks Tox is too cool, and Tox thinks Nya is too good for her and Nya's out of her league

Tox has a thing about armour, Samurai X has a new fan and Tox has a lady boner

They're both smart in their own ways: Tox with chemicals, she'd be a toxicologist or something. Nya with technology and engineering. Neither really understand what the other does, but will listen to a 50-slide long powerpoint about each other's special interest

Skipping ahead to season 5: When they find out that Nya is the Mistress of Water, Tox would encourage her to remain as Samurai X because up to that point, she had been an object of desire (rescue from skeletons, a love interest for Cole and Jay) until she got her own autonomy through Samurai X, and gained her own personhood until Wu was like "You're the Master of Water, and therefore something the main cast can want/need again" (I'm not going to re-write season 5 because I just don't have a lot to say, but it's still like. Let Nya be her own person plz)

Tox joined the resistance in season 9 because Nya asked her too

Their Elements complement each other like really well. As the ship name suggests, Tox gets insane range with her Power if Nya helps. And Nya's Power gets way more deadly if Tox helps her

skalidor and the Constrictai in general would be like hippos imo

look fat&plumpy but it's just a metric fuckton of muscle underneath skin. And when they flex (which they don't do often because it takes a fair amount of strain), it's like. Give an Anacondrai a BonerTM kind of buff.

That's not even going into how Skalidor's tail is basically an elephant's trunk in terms of strength and dexterity. Like times 100

I can't wait to write the Serpentine, man, they're going to be in chapter 13 and it's going to be from skales' perspective as Serpentine King and udhehdjhfhehhshw

since i finally posted chapter 8 to Everyone has Something Worth Fighting For, I think it's perfect time to yap about the Serpentine War.

This is just an elephant I want to address real quick: Clouse can open the Cursed Realm. Like he can just Do That. Which is something I feel I need to address in my ending, so i think I will... somehow.

So I'm probably going to research some battles that are kind of similar to the Corridor of Elders, and do more stuff with the Serpentine. Because way back when, the Anacondrai turned their Generals into foot soldiers. You think they're going to let some weak, knock-off anacondrai away with this shit? Nuh uh.

I'm still going to keep the transformation because duh.

And this leads me to another AU I've been cooking up wherein the humans lose the Serpentine War.

Takes place before the modern generals are Generals, including Pythor who i might write as with Skales because snake yaoi.

Which brings me to my timeline: not going to say much, but I'm sooooo looking forward to writing it after I do some other projects.

Of course, going to yap about the Anacondrai and Pythor a little: I've noticed 3 ranks of Anacondrai: General, Warrior, and Soldier. General self-explanatory, Warrior is Arcturus with the pattern on the head and back of neck. Initially, I thought there wasn't a Soldier rank in the Anacondrai because they all look similar and "Only one can remain" but I was wrong. So Soldier is default Anacondrai.

Timeline is messed up because how else would this fic even work? So, I have age stages with Anacondrai: baby/hatchling is Viper, and juvenile is Scout. For Scout I opted for keeping the tail, and minimal black patterning on the chest. The main difference is that, some species of snakes (I think pythons are the most obvious but I need to fact-check) have pelvic spurs, aka vestigial legs which are little spikes that are left over from a snake's legs during evolution. So I'm tacking those onto the Scout because to me it makes no sense for them to grow legs, and then lose them again. Only difference is they're huge, like the length of your forearm+hand, and when they get to Soldier rank, they fall off.

So long story short: Going to follow a young Pythor through the Serpentine War. A Pythor who is a fraudulent wizard. His potions to strengthen the Anacondrai is a bunch of drugs which will have a 100% fatality rate. His amulets are placebos and sheer luck. And his curses are him practicing poor waste disposal procedures. And it all goes smoothly until one of the Generals thinks he's an actual wizard and wants him to do real magic.

Bolobo's nature documentary with his guest host, Garmadon. Basically if all of the Elemental Masters were animals, including the Ninja. I haven't thought of everyone's animal yet but I'll write it either as a huge one-shot or as a mini series.

Ash - There's this kite (i think) in Australia that'll purposefully start forest fires

Chamille - Chameleon or Lyre Bird

Cole - Mountain goat

Gravis - Thinking of a golden eagle, some kind of vulture, or a bee (According to all known laws of aviation, the bee should not be able to fly)

Griffin - Torn between cheetah, peregrine falcon or that one bird that gets drunk off of fermented fruit (i think it's apples but don't quote me)

Jacob - White bellbird whose mating call is so loud that the males are nearly deaf

Jay - Electric eel

Kai - Maleo (they lay their eggs in locations where they can incubate with geothermal energy, specifically for Kai ones close to volcanoes, they'll lay eggs near the volcano for the temperature to incubate the eggs)

Karlof - Raven since they can use tools and are smart af

Lloyd - Dragonfly, I think they have the highest hunting success rate for insects according to the all-knowing Wikipedia

Mr. Pale - Can also be an orca because whether you're looking up or down in the water, they're pretty much invisible, that or he's going to be the octopus that can camouflage really well

Neuro - Mute swan (mated pair with Shade)

Nya - Thinking an orca or an albatross

Skylor - Spider-tailed horned viper, or a mexican black kingsnake because they're cannibals

Shade - Mute swan (mated pair with Neuro)

Tox - Torn between a poisonous frog/toad, and a keelback snake (a species of snake in China that's both venomous and poisonous)

Zane - Specifically an Emperor Penguin spy camera
