Celebrated Dad's 66th birthday with a little Sunday night bowling. He works so hard that he's rarely home, even on his birthdays. He's a former bowling champ, and clearly has not lost his skills. Seeing him have so much fun tonight made me the happiest I've felt with my family in a long time. My dream is to give him a life where he'll never want for anything, just as he gave me growing up. Happy birthday to my first love! 💕👨

We wake up in a small house with 12 creatures: 7 adults, 2 babies, and 3 dogs. Luna is the loveliest of them all, obviously. 🐕

Real life right here. I work 4-6 hours a day @verilymag on top of being a full-time mom; during the girls' nap time in the afternoon and after they go down at night around 7. My ghetto desk in one of the bedrooms where I grew up has baby laundry I just folded and a plastic Frozen necklace Jude tangled into my hair. Let it be known that I work to the point of exhaustion 7 days a week, as every mother does. I didn't appreciate my mom as much as I do now that I'm a mom. If you haven't yet, tell your mom she's awesome today and that you love her. Buy her some flowers. Be good to her. Because, chances are, you are the jewel in her well-deserved crown. 👑

Belle is my favorite Disney princess. She's the one who helped me realize that it's ok to be an odd nerdy bookworm and to want something more out of life. As a young adult, her relationship with Beast was a model of forgiveness and of the importance of seeing beyond what meets the eye. I know Disney movies are imperfect (as all things are), and the Prince Charming storylines are sometimes cliché and old-fashioned. But I hope my daughters will see the magic and values that I believe are at the heart of Disney films. Friendship, wisdom, kindness, loyalty, humor, love. (at Disneyland)
