Getting anything Deathstroke related on tiktok his hell on earth

"He'd be so cool if he wasn't a predator." Yo bro SHUT UP. WE GET IT. Why is it that the only line in fiction is sexual deviancy. Ill be the first to admit that I laugh at the Deathstroke predator jokes on tiktok, but if I'm just seeing a cool edit the last thing I need to see is people bitching and moaning that the character isn't a good person.

Yall don't care that he murders people for a living, yall dont care that he abused his daughter, yall ONLY care about that one line.

Nobody is forcing you to like or hate the character. If you like Deathstroke you don't have to feel fucking guilty about it because he's an interesting and well written character. Liking him doesn't mean you condone what he did to Tara, same way that liking the Joker doesn't mean you condone murder.

And if you don't like him for whatever reason, that is PERFECTLY FINE. I am not going to pretend that you have to like this character just because I like him. In this post I'm not complaining about people who don't like him, I'm complaining about people who claim to like him then complain in comment sections about his writing.

Listen, I love Deathstroke the same way I like Overwatch. Every second is misery but its fun to indulge in. I don't root for Deathstroke, the dude is an ultimate bum, that's exactly why his story is so incredible. Too many writers are afraid of writing a depraved person with actual personality and development.

Not too mention his S tier cast of characters that could honestly all be given their own ongoings if DC were braver.

‘thot daughter or gay son’ but it’s slade and he can’t complain because his children inherited each of these things from him.

Slade's morality is by far the most interesting part of his character.

I'll get the very obvious part out of the way. His morality is never written consistently. There's always some little change that makes him more or less evil depending on what the writer wants. Sometimes he's more of an anti-hero and others more of a villain.

I'd like it if Deathstroke was written as an anti-villain all the time, a term people don't use enough. They're essentially villains with morals, or a code at the very least.

In Deathstroke 2016 he had this mentality of "if you're not in my way and I'm not paid to kill you, you're probably fine."

He sees the world as a free for all that he's winning. He won't go out of his way to cause unnecessary amounts of damage, though he definitely won't take responsibility for any collateral left in his wake. (Deathstroke 2016 again, when his alternate self was causing all sorts of problems he attempted to calm the situation to prevent too much damage)

Whether civilians die or not, even if he did directly cause it, he won't really care. And he definitely does not give a shit about your mental health. Any distress he caused Rose, Joey, Tara, Tanya- too many people honestly, he will not take responsibility for that either.

But his morality is flexible. He doesn't bow to his code as much as it bows to him. It definitely tends to go downhill when his mental health does. After Grant died, after Respawn "died," after Wintergreen is presumed dead as of right now, it always ends in bloody mayhem. Or his bursts of moments where he suddenly wants to be a better person. Defiance, after Judas Contract, all the times he helps out heroes.

Pretty much what I'm saying is dude's a nutcase but he can be chill sometimes.

Father’s Day SLADE

Hi guys, as some of you know, I did some stories a couple of years ago centered around Slade and his family, I always have loved this part of his story that has never quite been explored that much in comics but i never quite found an audience or interest, maybe i was making everything too complex, maybe my skills weren’t there or my writing was poor or too hard to follow…idk.

Anyway, i never stopped thinking and wanting to draw more about them and just for this year’s father’s day i let myself go and I made this page. I dont think i will go back to do comics about them or at least not anytime soon but i would like to know if there’s more people out there who like this.

⚜️Summary:

It's been ten years since Morgan last stood face to face with him. Ten years since Morgan was left coughing blood on the floor of his quarters in Qal’at al Samt.

Ten years since Morgan's lifelong obsession began—an obsession without a goal besides getting to know everything there is to know about Slade Joseph Wilson.

And now, he was standing right in front of him.

Morgan's vision blurred almost instantly, his entire body shaking as cold sweat accumulated at his nape. Whether it was from shock or withdrawals, he couldn't tell.
