“Cute, Sinclair, but if you want me to do your charms homework, all you have to do is ask.” Walden says, smiling at the younger girl.
“Oh, would you? That would be very, very lovely.”

“Cute, Sinclair, but if you want me to do your charms homework, all you have to do is ask.” Walden says, smiling at the younger girl.
“Oh, would you? That would be very, very lovely.”
Oh, I know. I mean, not that I was stalking you or something. I just– I know of you. Like I’ve seen you around before.
Sorry, that was weird. Just… ignore that. I’m Hunter.
Well, I’m flattered.
No worries. It’s nice to meet you. We’re in the same year, aren’t we? I think I’ve had class with you a few times.
Mmm, maybe you’re right.
Thank you. Arielle, right?
I usually am.
Yes, that’s me!
Pfft, they’ll be lucky.
Ah, we’ll see. I’m usually right when it comes to matches. It’s like another sense.
“I’m sorry, sweets, but I’m not in your charms class.”
“That’s too bad.” She breathes a soft sigh. “There goes my grade—it was already hanging by a thread. My parents will be so disappointed, I can already see their faces. I’m such a failure. Oh well, it’s alright.”
I don’t have it until the end of the day, actually, so you’ll have all day.
Oh, don’t even mention it! I mean, if I have it done, I might as well share it with someone else who could get some use out of it. And I’m sure you get the concepts, it’s just a matter of doing the tedious work.
Yes, exactly. Like, busy work—all they want to do is stress us out. It’s awful and it’s cruel.
I’m Arielle, by the way.
I guess. Seems a little too much for just a match, though…
I think it’s always better to be overdressed than underdressed. However, maybe swapping out the shoes for a pair of flats would tone it down a bit.
Oh, yeah! Of course you can. [she digs into her bag, pulling out a piece of parchment and holding it out to the other girl] I, uh, I’ll just need it back before class.
Yes, of course! What period do you have it? And thank you—you may have just saved my grade.
[In the Hospital Wing after his run in with Evan, bruised and bloody. Shrugs off the Mediwitch attempting to treat him.] I’m fucking fine, just let me go back to my fucking dorm.
You should be letting her help you, you know. You kind of look like a mess.
Go Gryffindor!
I’ve got my bets on Ravenclaw, to be honest.
Is this too much to wear for the Quidditch? I don’t even know if I should go…
Not at all. What’s the fun in going if you can’t dress up?
Excuse me, sorry to be a bother, but did you happen to finish the Charms homework from yesterday? Could I quickly take a look? You look very nice today, by the way.
“I don’t do anything with my life except romanticize and decay with indecision.”
WELCOME TO THE NEW AGE
Arielle Sinclair is a 6th year Slytherin who resembles Ariana Grande. She is currently taken.
LOOK HOW FAR WE’VE COME
Arielle never had to contribute a single ounce of effort into anything as she grew up. Raised by two successful and respected Purebloods, she lived extravagantly, spoiled to bits by a mother whose constant fussing and superfluous praise both inflated her daughter’s ego immensely as well as rendered her clingy and dependent. She had just about everything handed to her on a silver platter and when something did not go her way, all she had to do was pout, a silent but effective threat, and her mother would find a way to make her happy. Her father, on the other hand, was always absent, and even in the rare occasions in which he was around physically, his mind was distant and his words were always scathing. Arielle barely ever spoke to her father and, being a sensitive girl, the tension that arose in the household whenever he was around was maddening—to cope, she taught herself to completely shut out others’ feelings. She went from feeling everything around her too strongly and letting it dictate her own emotions to feeling nothing at all.
IT’S WHO WE ARE
At first glance, one would never guess that Arielle had been sorted into Slytherin house. Dainty, fluttery, and polite, Arielle is nearly the perfect definition of what they would call a “proper” lady. She sits with her back straight, curls tied atop her head with a single ribbon and neatly tossed behind her shoulders, and she answers quietly and politely when spoken to, which quickly made her a favorite among many of the professors at Hogwarts. Her innocent, childlike charm makes her an easy person to trust—however, this entire demeanor is nothing but an act. After her arrival at Hogwarts, Arielle shockingly found that nobody was willing to do what she asked of them, that she would have to begin working for what she wanted on her own and this just didn’t settle with her. Flattery is her greatest weapon and she often uses it to her advantage, along with the batting of her eyelashes and the most angelic smile she can muster. Although her manipulative ways have gotten her fairly far at Hogwarts, there are many students who have begun to catch on, leaving Arielle with only puppets to use before throwing out, and not a single real, genuine friend. Despite her outward appearance, Arielle is a deeply unhappy person and acts on impulse and bitterness.
WHAT WE ARE
Writing Club » Arielle has always been creative, and she finds enjoyment in writing poetry and short stories. To her, writing is the prettiest art form, and she loves to play around with words and intensely romanticize the darker aspects of life as a way to cope with her turbulent feelings.
Slug Club » Teachers have always found Arielle endearing and it wasn’t a surprise when she was invited to join to Slug Club. She was definitely intelligent, a quick and attentive learner, but there was no doubt that her actual talent only played a minor part in her invitation.
