TINY BLACK LINES

I’ve hearted this chair today this chair because of  the flawlessness appearance of geometrical lines.

Slight black lines like the traces of sketches drawn in the air made transparent surfaces and volumes appear, which we assigned practical functions. The outlines remained after simplifying paintings of plants and animals. They are condensed expressions of meaning, similar to Japanese calligraphy. The designs gently break the relationship of before and behind, and traverse at times the space between two and three dimensions. Multi-faceted and constantly morphing, they move alternately between the becoming and collapse of form.

Dear followers, I haven’t been posting here for a while because of two reasons : firstly it has became harder for me to find the time required for blogging. Secondly, and linked to the first reason, it is not easy to find some pertinent and fresh informations.

You all know the Parisian Fashion Week; but have you heard about Paris Design Week, also called the Maison & Objet fair? As for fashion, there are two in a year, in september and in January. Because the next one is coming soon, un more or less two weeks, I have taken the decision to share with you my 3 favorite pictures taken in September 2014.

I would like you to appreciate the mood of this stand turned into a luxurious cottage, and to pay a particular attention to the lights. Please look at all the details as the wood floor, the leather and skins, how they have been tanned in a beautiful way to look so old and new at the same time.

I beg you to feel free to post any comment or ask all the questions you want about this post.

This time, I will unfortunately not be able to visit the fair because at the same time I must be present at all uphostelery fabrics editors’ new collection presentations. I promise to make a post about my favorite pattern and materials for this season.
