Eyes of the Enemy - Grima/Garnet
The hairs to her back were standing straight up as a cold sweat broke out. Her heart was racing and even though she felt fear, she did not cling to her own life. Instead, her mind was wandering on what her foe was and how things came to be this way. Without a moment to realize what had happened, the brunette was pinned to the ground, the impact knocking the wind out of her. Her eyes winced as she let out a painful groan. The shield had thankfully blocked most of the attack - she would have probably gone unconscious if it weren’t for her magic.
Gazing up at the formidable beast, she stared death in the fact with a trembling heart. Barely, she uttered a spell beneath her breath with an agonizing breath. A constellation lit up beside her, burning in hell’s flames as the almighty infrit jumped out of the portal. His roar tore into the skies as he flexed his extremely muscular form as he stretched out his claws. Quickly, he threw several spiraling flare bombs, knocking the dragon back and clawing him. Garnet tried to recompose herself with a healing spell.
Twin golden halos spun around her form and she was able to easily get up as if none of the injuries ever existed. Without a moment to waste, she ordered Infrit back. They were away from the forest and out into the meadows with no one else around. She would feel less bad at doing this. "…I won’t run." She said out loud to herself mostly.
Garnet brought the staff close as she uttered the spell of the dark rider. “Odin!” She called upon and a black hole ripped through the blue skies, its border formed with flames. A formidable foe road through the dark abyss upon his black horse. Garnet cast float on herself and escaped to the air for safety. The god road like a champion and charged his almighty sword before throwing it down upon the enemy. The impact was devastating but with the smoke and fire in the way from her view, it was unclear if the worse was over.
A--A summoner!? Before Grima could even react, he was bombarded by Ifrit's might. Enraged now, the dragon let out a vicious roar, preparing to strike back, however his attack was cut short yet again by the woman's words.
Grima looked up for a brief moment, feeling an intense heat searing over him. Odin loomed over him... Grima knew he was in trouble, but he didn't falter. He braced himself for impact as the god's sword met with his body, exploding the area in a fantastic light.
This.. was impossible... This woman.. this... vile cur of a being... what tremendous power she beget! It was far too much for the fell dragon in his current state, and he was forced to revert back into his reveled form.
No... it won't end like this. This woman will not best him here... He had the perfect plan, even though it was rather simple, it may just work.
Grima began to laugh gently... his voice echoing through the flame and destruction. Despite his power, he was very much defenseless in this state and underestimating her was a grave mistake, but he wasn't going to fall here.
"..Y--ʏᴏᴜ... Yᴏᴜ ᴛʜɪɴᴋ ʏᴏᴜ'ᴠᴇ ʙᴇsᴛᴇᴅ ᴍᴇ...? Hᴀʜ... Tɪs ʙᴜᴛ ᴀ sᴄʀᴀᴛᴄʜ..." he mocked openly. To be quite frank though he only had one good shot in him left.. He never had to fight someone remotely strong... and while his presence was frightening, he really had become quite defenseless...
Grima wasted no time, and shot an energy wave in the form of dark spikes through the ground, running towards Garnet... seemingly. Just before they reached her they ran underground and struck the mountainside, shaking the earth violently, causing the whole mountain to crash down upon the both of them.
The last Grima saw of Garnet before the rocks hid him away from her sight, he left her with an evil grin before closing his eyes and accepting his supposed fate.
