in the after credits sequence when our little green friend said they were sent by "an old friend of your mom" i swear i thought "mom" was referring to carol, and until it's confirmed otherwise, i'm going to continue to think that
i guess this is a marvel blog now
anyone else seriously getting the vibe that this agatha thing was the world's most dramatic red herring? i'm calling major general pissing contest (hayward) as our big bad for this round.
in the comics, agatha basically spent her whole career helping witches get their shit together, and cleaning up other people's messes. she's not necessarily very nice about it, but she sure as hell does do it. realistically, that appears to be what's happening now. i mean, if we run it back, she basically tells wanda outright that she's trying to help her when she says that she spent weeks trying to snap wanda out of her delusion "gently".
my theory is that she sensed some shit was going down, zapped her witchy ass on down to westview, and spent her time there trying to find out who wanda was, and how she was doing what she was doing. it seems to me that agatha ran her through her past trauma to help her confront her reality. she basically went full shrink on wanda with the doors and the old memories.
plus all that "i can be good" shit at the beginning of the episode was just fucking begging for some of that sweet "prove your parents wrong" storyline action.
tldr: agatha's here to help, hayward can go suck one
okay, update on this post: i'm still fully convinced agatha is gonna end up being an ally later on in phase 4. i mean if you think about it, they basically set her up to be fully available for a new adventure at any point in time. all wanda has to do is snap those little fingers of hers and agatha's back in action.
i think they're pulling a bit of a loki, giving her some of that sweet sweet anti hero storyline action. i mean they kind of set her up the same way, making her the fun villain that you kind of weirdly root for.
if they don't bring her back for more stuff i think it would honestly be a waste. i mean people already love her, and there's a ton of ways to integrate the character into the universe more fully (i'm looking at you, doctor strange franchise. this shit has your name all over it.)
basically what i'm saying is that the mcu needs more women as it is, and if they waste a good character like agatha harkness on a single storyline i'm starting a riot.
Sometimes you just gotta painfully rearrange your molecules and develop superpowers so that you can force your friend to talk about her mental health issues and trauma instead of continuously using her own superpowers to Literally push you away.
Hmmm

me this morning : thank god i’m no longer singing wandavision wa-wandavision
me now: its been agatha all along
New favorite TOH theory: Belos is indeed getting messages from the Titan, but he isn’t listening to it, like, at all
Belos: It was the Titan’s will that implored me to snort all of the Witchkraft mac and cheese powder in the castle
Titan, from the heavens: I didn’t tell you to do shit, wtf
and what might that be
one of my coworkers has this sticker on his water bottle and it sends me into hysterics every time i see it
I feel like everyone worships avocado and I’m struggling because it just tastes like compressed wet grass lump but nobody will listen and I’m all alone in this world
